  • so what if he dows an accent? at least he has a personality unlike most MPs

  • Comment removed

  • we have an unelected head of state. An unelected house of Lords and an electoral system that means that 49% of the population could vote for a party and not get a single seat in parliament. The British people have NO sovereignty.

LET US EUROPEANS VOTE FOR A EUROPEAN GOVERNMENT NOW!!! DOSEY DAVE.

  • You see, the real problem lies within the influence and the power of the EU over our own sovereignty. We honestly haven't got any any more...

    European Referendum anyone?

  • Dave, Dave - we already DO live in a country like that!

When a little kid aged one year old can get prosecuted for dropping a sweety paper in the street, when two little girls can get prosecuted for chalking hopscotch on the pavement outside their house, you realise that the Nazis are already here.

  • NHS was un-british too and Cameron loves it

  • wooooooo CAMERON FOR PM!!

  • Listen to his message, not his accent.

  • its a lame joke with subliminal intentions and smacks of Nzi Germany. Not funny

  • yeah but whats wrong with joking about nazi germany? Nazi germany is abolished now so who is it really offending? nazi's? theres nothing wrong with insulting nazi's O.o

  • Thats like saying theres no point joking about slavery to black people because it was abolished, it's still a denigrating slur on a race and country's people. He's saying it merely to rekindle old predjudices and to make farfetched parrallels between our current primeminister and the gestapo. It just isn't funny either, accents are a weak excuse for wit.

  • what subliminal intentions? The guy is funny, if he wants to slightly mock the mock one of the most horrific regimes of all time then good on him, and it's a good point.

  • What are the ID cards used for? We show our drivers license when we use our credit cards to make sure something other then us is using it, but do you guys use it for something else? I live in the US, so i was just wondering

  • ID cards are for things like getting served for beer if you look like your still 12

  • Whats the big deal ?It's only a joke "ALLO ALLO"style....FFS....

  • Ah - now I get it!

Laugh at the joke = you're cool and intelligent.

Think about the message and dare to make a sensible comment on it = you're an uptight idiot.

    Thanks for enlightening me!!

  • How is that offensive?

  • here in germany most people think they would have to carry their IDs all the time, but it's wrong. the only thing you have to do is that you must own an ID card or a passport if you're older than 16.

  • Funny, yes. Offensive? Probably not. But misleading and biased. I'm sure plenty of people actually believe that's the way it is in Germany today, and the way it will be if ID cards are introduced in Britain. Everyone is so busy laughing - or complaining - about the 'joke' that they miss the subliminal message (which is, of course, the whole point of a subliminal message ;-)

  • this was funny not offensive

  • If we get a fourth term of labour which i very much dout, north carrea or iran are going to start looking like a prity good place to live for the british people as labour slowly takes away more and more of our rights.

  • He says no ID cards guranteed - What about the National Identity Register which is the TRUE infringment of your rights under the ID cards Act 2006. The database that holds all your most personal information, which lots of people can access. He never mentioned that. He will scrap the card and keep the database. Remember that I said this

  • LOL, typical Tory racism.

  • I wondered why the Lefties were making such a fuss about this. I still don't know.

Pity they don't find ID cards offensive, isn't it?

Who among us would trust the Labour Government not to use, abuse, sell or lose the data contained in them? Their track record speaks for itself.

  • I don't like Cameron one bit i think he is just another spineless piece of shit. but if you foreign shit dont like our sense of humour fuck off and find a country that suits your needs. o yer i forgot where else would you get all the hand out you get. Ve has vays off makin you verk here. did you here about the German that could'nt tell the difference shit and putty? All his Vucking Vindows Vell out.

  • British humor is as fresh as your cuisine.

  • "A German joke is no laughing matter."

    - Mark Twain

  • like funny politics? Vill come to kushdianimation and watch some seriously good videos.

  • Unbritish? You know what's British? Voting for all-white parties and hunting down immigrants.

Britain = Nazi Germany with worse teeth

  • Britan = Nazi Germany with worse teeth ?!

I myself am only half English, most of my family are immigrants. I love this country fir the fact that it welcomes hard working people from ANYWHERE, there is a small amount of racism as there is in any country. You are talking shit, where the fuck are you even from ?!, Doesnt matter because you would be welcomes into England, and after analysing your comments, you would definitely be eligible for alot of what we call "disability benefits".

  • Any fool knows that politicians have a whole team of people writing their speeches - nothing is left to chance, and the intention is never merely to entertain. Telling kids about the bogey man to make them behave is like telling British voters about imaginary random police controls to turn them against ID cards. As far as I know, instilling fear into kids with stories of the bogey man is no longer considered good parenting. But if you do it, the kids still believe it because they know no better.

  • Support ID cards if you want. Just go to the NO 2 ID website and learn about the national identity register and what information it will contain. Then read about how the Nazis so effectivley tracked the Jews when they were in belgium. National information databases.

  • Hey, slow down! Who said I was in favour of ID cards?? All I'm saying is if Germany doesn't have that Nazi-style scenario these days (and it doesn't, I should know I live here) then why are politicians trying to make people believe it may come to that in Britain? I was commenting more on Cameron's dubious methods of argumentation - I would have preferred a more realistic and tangible example, rather than something aimed to instil fear into people by re-kindling old prejudices.

  • Chum, Cameron was merely citing an allusion to Nazi Germany's police state. No reference to Merkel's Germany.

    Calm down.

  • dont metion the war ... cameron u funny kunt

  • am i seriously the only one who actualy found it hilarious?

i mean cmon he's leader of the tories... a centre right party, he has to do something like this every now and then!!!

  • yEAH I AGREE, IT WAS FUNNY ^^

  • Exactly lol.

    Not a tory supporter but I lol'd.

  • what a w@nker

  • Urgh this man makes me queasy.

    What an absolute tit.

  • Maybe the police should brush up and learn all the Eastern European languages As there will be more on the way here soon. As fior LAB CON LIB they are all crap. Just shouting in Parliament at each other, trying to gain pathetic points off each other while fiddling their expenses

  • what a complete cunt,

to think people will vote for him.

  • BNP!

  • What a cock, I think he better go clean his moat. I bet his wife made him sleep on the duck island that night.

  • ahahaha XD

  • LOL - He's actually making a really good point... with humour :D

  • What exactly is 'the good point' he's making??

  • DC insults all, in parliment he has no views so insults all the time (lowest form of respect as in 0 respect for the man)

  • He is in trouble for this?! It's a slight poke at nazi germany 60 years ago, whats the problem?! I'm not sure if even the germans would find this rude!

  • You are right - the Germans are not in the least bothered by this silly joke. But you're not getting the point. Cameron is trying to pull the wool over the British voters' eyes, by making them believe that having ID cards will automatically create a totalitarian state (as if we didn't have one already ;-).Bringing the Germans into it makes it all the more frightening, also serving to perpetuate those ridiculous anti-German prejudices. Politicians are not stupid - there's method in their madness.

  • Umm, yeah, guys, if you're getting offended by this you're a pansy. I'm not even sure if most Germans would give a flying s*** about this.

  • It's not the Germans I'm worried about - people over here already know that having ID cards is not a big issue. This speech was intended to make the British think it would be not only a bad thing to have ID cards, but that it would create a frightening, Nazi-style scenario - and it seems to have worked, from what I can see. It's like when the priests tell you you'll go to hell if you don't attend church regularly. Fear-mongering.

(P.S. I rather like pansies - the ones with petals ;-)

  • I think you're reading into this far too much. >_> Cameron doesn't need to go about fear mongering, he's simply trying to appeal to what he percieves as the majority of the British public - the people who that joke resounded with will most likely have already made that connection.

  • down with the evil conservatives, camerons a ****

  • Wtf don't tell me that the world is going so politically correct that they call this insulting.

  • I honestly can't see a problem with this. It's just a joke.

  • Labour is obviously, in my view, trying to undermine independence of the press. I look at Iran and its president and ask myself what is the difference between him and Gordon Brown. Gordon seems to have such an ego and is so power crazy that he might need to cripple democratic rights of the populous of Britain to exercise his ideology of a fair society. Vote CONSERVATIVE!!!

  • thats a bit of an overreaction i thought he did something terrible

  • yeah, I was there when he said that, in the front row. It was so funny, everyone laughed and thought 'yep, dead on'. This is just another example of our supposed 'unbiast' media trying to make something out of nothing, and in the current British culture and its media, its pathetic really.

  • Making a joke in a German accent could be considered a racist joke & under the new communist Labour party thought crime laws he can be arrested and imprisoned for 7 years.

  • sound's more austrian to me..

  • I'm as anti-Tory as anyone, but I don't see anything wrong here.

  • i couldnt care less for politics but i dont see anything wrong here either, and its not like hes the first person impersonate a german

  • So basicaly he's just compared ID cards to Nazism?

  • well its true, having ID cards is exactly like nazi-germany its wrong and a waste of time and money, its just another story to sway the publics thoughts away fromm the real crisis in britain now, the same as the swine flu, its a load of rubbish

  • fuk the tories

    snobby cunts

  • joker

  • I thought that was funny? Anyone that actually takes that seriously is just trying to ignore the fact that it used to be said. And besides, what harm has it done?

  • thats so funny! politicians should have some humour they are too dull and d.cameron is a breath of fresh air!

  • Douche Bag.

  • what a fuckin idiot.

  • its not "vare are your papers" we have to worry about its, "ve hav vays of making you talk".

  • Good stuff. ID cards = fascism. Socialists hate freedom.

  • your a moron

  • That's an intelligent response.

  • thank you

  • Hahahahaha! Veeer aree youur papers!

  • I'm not a fan of david but that was a bit funny

  • ID card or not we're still fucked, they're going to be putting the FINGERPRINTS into the passports and in certain highschools like my little bro's they're introducing fingerprints instead of using dinner cards to be used when paying for food and i'm guessing they'll be keeping a record with those prints aswell which the government'll most likely get ahold of seeing how the council are pushing it.

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, ID cards suck balls and the British don't need or want them. Down with Labour! Cameron for PM!

  • 5* for Cameron!!!

  • haha, he's got my vote

  • Too small of a quip to be truly offensive to more than a minority of Germs.

David Cameron is now a complete legend!

'dont think he'll be sent to the "COOOLER!" for this

  • no, hes a complete prick.

  • No, you are! :)

  • Heil Cameron!

  • The funny thing is in germany you do have ID cards, Personalausweiss, and by law you have to have it on you at all times, You can get taken back to the station so that the police can verify your identity. I still havnt heard of anyone getting arrested for not carrying one, and I live there. You have to be involved in an accident or crime as either a witness or suspect before they want to check your details. Its the most normal thing in Germany, why is Britain making such a fuss?

  • I'm a German living in London for many years and I agree....why on earth is it such a big deal with the IDs here??

People are very quick here to mention lack of privacy -but the ID is not being stuck to your forehead! :)

  • surely it's he idea that any governmental agent, police officer etc. can access very private and unique information on a person whenever they want.

This power could easily be abused - it is a fairly fascist idea, with the people of the country feeling that they are under threat of permanent, immidiate personal scrutiny at any time.

btw, Cameron is a fucking prick.

  • How is this idea fascist?? Theyre designed to aid police work, make your life easier, place tighter controls on immigration and can be used to do so much good, Yes the information can be abused, but not more than that which we publish on facebook, on the census, drivers licence, at our place of employment, the DVLA. The info is already on the passport database which is available EU wide.... Should we get rid of those databases? The parties should offer choice to voters.

  • It's interesting that you have got negative feedback for putting forward a perfectly sensible argument in polite English. Whereas people who write incoherent bits of misspelt, prejudiced rubbish get the thumbs up. And I thought society was supposed to have become more civilized.

  • David Cameron is the man

I'll vote for him I don't want an ID card first it will be you can have an ID card, after that it will be you must carry an ID card and then finally it will be an ID card will be put inside you

check RFID chip and If you not sure check your British passport they have one

  • fair enough

  • David Cameron is now a legend

  • I found it pretty funny and I'm no conservative! This country is so sensitive about everything its pathetic.

  • Well said, I agree.

  • OH NO LETS ALL OVERREACT!!

  • Anagram Of David Cameron - Random Advice.

Definition Of David Cameron -Random Advice :L

  • is it just me,or does he look like an older michael shumacher?

  • I hate David Cameron but on some things he's a lot more real than more left wing politicians. This being one of them!

  • so what! jesus

what is the issue?? anything people say that is slightly conterversual is magnified

  • Meh, it's an over reaction yeah, but it's a jip out of Nazi Germany and i can imagine Germans getting slightly offended about that, and as a person in a responsible postion this kind of joke shouldn't be heard of... Personally i thought it was funny and should be taken light heartedly but, i'm a) not German b) some one who doesn't give two shi*ts :)

  • To me it's not about offending the Germans at all (haven't heard a word about it in the press here so far) but about misleading the British into believing that all countries where people have ID cards are totalitarian states, and adding the 'worrying' German element, in case that hasn't already frightened people enough.

I'm not a political person, but I'm shocked at how many people still harbour such stupid prejudices, and at a respected politician for adding fuel to the fire.

  • I can imagine the day when that happens

  • I'm certainly not Conservative, but this was merely used in good humour.

  • DONT MAKE FUN OF THE JERMANS!

  • cameron is a clone of asshole warmonger tony blair.

  • What a load of shite, you can't do anything anymore without it being "offensive"

gawd my grandma will have a good old rant about that haha

  • That's actually his real accent

  • hehe!

  • Aha, the old political correctness monster rears it's ugly head again. I don't vote Tory but what was wrong with that? Cameron's right on this one.

  • i hate the Conservative party but hes completely legit for useing that accent, its a joke

  • I agree!

  • Worth looking at the sign behind his head on 0:23.

  • Well-spotted!

  • What's wrong with 'having a problem' with something? It's actually called an opinion. In certain circles having and being able to articulately express an opinion without being disrespectful and insulting to others is still considered a virtue - obviously not on YouTube ;-)

  • your mother!!

  • Self-righteous arrogant british people, try getting upset over something worth getting upset about!!!!! HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOUR. By the way I am British, currently travelling the world, and reralising we Brits are all too uptight. GROW UP!! Keeping in touch with the world and its happenings is hard enough when people are dying, lets noty make a big deal of THIS!!!!!!!!!!

  • well said ol' chap

  • People who have a problem with this should just wise up.

The sooner we scrap this id rubbish, the better!

  • I think the comments on this video truly seperate out those people with a sense of humour from those who have an overly-developed sense of pitiful self-righteousness. My advice to the latter is to get a life and chill the f**k out.

  • Working class people have already been f**ked over by Labour. I'd rather have him than liars like Tony Blair and Gordon Brown who've brought our country to it's knees.

  • If he gets in, us working class people are f**ked

  • Funny it may be, but this is politics and not Monty Python. I'm not suggesting that anyone might actually be offended by this, but it is using false imagery to promote political arguments. And why bring the Germans into it? I would just like to know where he gets his example from - certainly not from modern day Germany.

  • VOTE BNP!

  • NAZI!

  • wtf.....

  • VOTE BNP!

  • haha

  • "Very expensive when we're virtually broke" he still supports the trident missile though, which is costing £20 Billion

  • fuck the bnp.

  • This is bollocks, the government aren't bringing in ID cards. Camerons just a pretty face for a party thats primary role is to look after their own. If you don't fit into the conservative middle class toff lifestyle then your screwed with these cunts.

  • I really do prefer conservative to any other party, and honestly wtf is this ID card thing, i will actually deny haveing on ebecause i disagree so much. It is communism to do than and the government can manipulate the country into doing things if we get them

  • Cameron is right on this issue. However he's wrong on every other issue. Plus his german accent is rubbish.

Vote Liberal Democrats, at least their expenses were cleaner then the tories and labour. Plus if Cameron can talk the talk why hasn't he sacked any of his expense cheating shadow goverment. Alan Duncan. Micheal Gove. George Osbourne???? At least Gordon has got rid of a lot of his. C'mon corrupt Cameron.

  • On every occasion the top of heaven makes contact with the bottom to deliver all from all evil and all want evil death.

Because you all believe in death its about time you all stopped and got on with this to be evil death no more.

  • Does his Allo Allo German accent beat Max Mosley's?

When they know who the baddies are they can't stop them and let them out of prison so what are they going to do with even more data on people that represent no threat?

MPs are fed up their data got sold to Telegraph? Well the govt. has gone to High St. and Big Business with pricing model for accessing ID Card database. If they want to make money from our data and personal lives they can't gripe when people make money from theirs.

  • what a load of shit, as if the goverment would ever even create or llaw to make u carry an id card around at all times

  • In much of continental Europe they have, and they're more socially liberal than the UK.

  • What are you talking about. Labour WANTS to do this.

  • I am in no way a Tory, but gotten himmel ,can we not even have a little levity now.

I cannot stand false outrage used for political point scoring(from any side).

  • Levity, of course - I'm all for it. Jokes about the Germans?? Yes, why not? But politicians are not daft, you know - there's method in their madness. Does everyone understand that the story of the man out walking his dog was a joke?? I doubt it - some will think it could really happen, and in fact that it is even like that in Germany today. Not everyone is well-travelled, open-minded and clever, you know.

  • I agree with your comment! People like looking for scapegoats and enjoy blaming others where ever they can...

I hope you don't mind me saying.....it's 'Gott im Himmel' ;)

  • Cheers .

And no , I don't mind . I pretty much knew it was wrong when I typed it , but thought I would give it a bash .

  • Lol cameron is actually right for once.

    Fuck ID cards.

  • Good on you Dave. I agree with him 100%

  • aww man, heroic

  • Good for David Cameron, the conservative party understands the state serves us not the other way round. As much as I'd love to let Browns' centralist control freaks leave my DNA on a train whilst they spunk public money up the wall to try and get votes in a time of economic turmoil it would seem more prudent to take note of The Conservative policy on this vital issue. We are a free country, let's stay a free country - If you believe ID cards are neccessary for our society to progress u r a fool.

  • lmao! and did you get the "spunk money up the wall" comment from the apprentice :>

  • why the apprentice reference? unable to think of an anakgy of your own. i think the whole concept of conservitive is ridiculous. people forget how badly conservatives messed this nation up before they were voted out. remember the education system? the health system? for supposdly one of the most advanced countries in the world they were terrible. except of course the torys private schools and healthcare. they looked after the rich 5% of the country good and proper.

  • i think you mean analogy not anakgy

  • typo my bad

  • What a plonker you are, David Cameron!!!!!!!

I would gladly carry an I.D card. I have nothing to hide, and am law-abiding. Why should I (we) worry???? Maybe it would get all these illegal immigrants and criminals off our streets!!!!!!!!!!!

  • its a matter of principle, your pirvacy is your pricavy, if you dont care about it then fine, but 95% of people do care about it.

  • Well, he's going to be the next Prime Minister anyway.

  • pmsl o thats great, Gotta of been a German that Complained..Now do it in a Paki accent lol

  • You have missed the point entirely.

  • Which is??

  • how would you possibly find out who i am, then?

  • Reminiscent of a good comedian's act. What's to be offended about here? It's a serious possibility that he pointed out in a witty manner.

  • That says it all. He's just a bloody comedian, not a serious statesman at all.

  • I thought this was pretty funny, and anyone who is offended by this needs a fucking slap.

  • He should have done it in a Stalinist accent, as the commies aka the Labour Party have more in common with the Soviet Stalinists who killed 20 million of their own people for not being 'pc' enough. Because being 'pc' in Britain is all about towing the socialist line, that why there are now thought crimes, why they are to set up spy networks to watch everyone's political views, it's why they want ID cards, and want your DNA. The mass murders will come for all, it's just early days yet.

  • a little confused, mr 'Fox news' maybe you should read '1984' before you quote it

  • Hmm you think I'm quoting what I haven't read, that's logical.

I dont need to read 1984 tho as the UK left are acting it out. Orwel was making an astute obsevation about the communists when he wrote the book, it isn't a work of fantasy its an accurate prophesy.

  • Sheesh, you can't say fuck all now days without someone getting offended...

People are such over dramatic assholes, probably why I dislike 99.9% of them.
