I really wish I could dress up like that. I want to put on some nice heels, a pretty dress just to do the shopping or go out with friends but I always just end up in a hoodie and scruffy jeans that i wear all the time. I've tried it but got the same look 'o.O' I went to a play with my family in London and I wore a beautiful short (not too short) dress, small heels, and black leather gloves) and everyone was just like 'wth?!' You know...I don't care, I'm going out tomorrow dressed like her :D!

i love the way she talks, she's a more real and down to earth person than lady gaga. when lady gaga gives interviews, i feel as though she tries to much and gives out a fake representation of who she really is...lady gaga started dressing that way when she became famous. Dita has been dressing with her style since forever, that's her. thats who she's always been :)

I love what she says in response to the last question. It's a feeling I have always had. I'm not saying I have the wardrobe to dress up all the time, because I don't. I'm working on it. I agree wholeheartedly, though, if you want to dress, and feel fabulous, for any occasion or no occasion, then why not? If you have a dress that makes you feel beautiful, then why not where it whenever you can? I do think there are evening gowns or cocktail gowns for evening, but being a bit fancy for day is fun.

I completely feel her on this! I dress up everyday and people ask me like "why are you so dressed up? "Where are you going?" Its like why cant people dress up without having other people think its considered weird. Funny she mentions Lady Gaga being "different" when she was married to the unique shock rocker Marilyn Manson. They were perfect together, but it's sad he had to go out and party instead of settling down. He's not a rebellious teenager and you have to grow out of that stage sometime.

I agree with her 100% about not being able to dress up for no reason today! I too would love to live in an era where you can step out of your house wearing a feather hat and a fancy dress just to talk a stroll in the park without people thinking you came out of the circus, it's sad really :/

@MarquiseOfHearts I agree with you completely! I always dress up for no reason and have for years. People still give me funny looks, but eventually I realized not to give a damn. It makes me feel beautiful and confident and shows that I care about how I look. So if you want to wear a feather hat and fancy dress...I say absolutely! Thumbs up to you from me. :)

Just because she wears classy clothes from a classic era, ties her hair up in a classy way, and is absolutely beautiful doesn't mean she's a truly classy woman. Appearances can be deceiving. Porn is never classy, no matter how "high-end" it is. Now, she IS beautiful & has a great, nostalgic fashion sense that I admire, but i was just saying how I found it sad that women like her do porn when theres so much more out there for them.

Many people don't think stripping is "classy", many people don't think presenting oneself as sexually appealing is classy, and entire cultures don't even think that a woman can display her natural beauty without being a trashy slut. As for there being "so much more" out there than porn, Dita never did porn out of necessity; she did it because it was her desire.

The fact that she chose to do it, when there were so many other options for a beautiful, creative woman like her, made me feel uncomfortable and a little sad. If Dita never did porn she would still be stripping and therefore profiting from her body and sex appeal, and if she were acting instead, it would be a given that her beauty and sex appeal influenced her ability to get roles. Hell, if she were a cleaning lady she would still be "selling herself", because nobody works without exploiting some asset or ability of theirs. That's not "sad", it's reality.

@zhemii And Chanel hated corsets and restrictive undergarments so much that, when they returned in force in the 1950s, Chanel came out of retirement to present clothes that were more comfortable than what she called "50s monstrosities." I think Dita actually likes the restrictive clothes that Chanel hated, though I can definitely see Dita in a 1950s Chanel suit. I always think of Dita as pre-Mary Quant in her tastes.

I love her style! I wish I could dress like that everyday lol but people would think I am mad going like that to college or even to a date... I love elegance and classics.
