James I know you were jealous, but you were cool about the whole thing. Julia, I could not imagine how exciting that must have been, to have gotten to dance that dance with Patrick Swayze! I still cry when I watch his latest things from shortly before he died, he was amazing, and such an amazing dancer. Would that I could have had an experience like yours! But I'm really glad that you got to have that experience :)

I have to say that would have been a dream come true. Considering Dirty Dancing is my ultimate favorite movie. Patrick Swayze looked just as good doing that move as he did in Dirty Dancing. @ LordKensei - you do know that is the exact move he does when he is getting ready to do the lift with her.

I didn't speak of him as IF he were already dead.. re-read it. I said he WILL BE missed WHEN he dies.... :/ Cancer is a terrible thing.. my grandmother has it 4 spots and doesn't have much longer to live.. I am sensitive to this subject, so trust me, I meant no disrespect to Patrick.

cancer is a terrible disease! I think boerin01 just meant that you should think of Patrick like you thought of him before you knew he had cancer. It´s always tragic when someones sick and i hope your grandmother is well, i am very close to my grandmother and can imagine how you feel. take care

She actually died last Tuesday....but thanks for your comment. I was with her when she passed, first time I watched someone die, and so many emotions went through me, but one main one was anger.. anger at Cancer.. such a terrible disease; and my Grandmother had a lot of life left in her :(.

that makes me so sad to hear. I work as a nurse so i´ve watched quite a few people die but i never get used to it. it´s such a powerful thing to watch and i always think about the life this person´s had. I´m sure your grandmother knew how much you loved her and she´ll always be greatful you were there when she passed. i´m sure she´s in a good place whereever that is. think about the good times you had with her. take care of yourself and stay strong!

thank you, the Hospice Nurses were sooo amazing, angel's really. But we were all around my G-ma when she passed.. the cancer was so bad, the tumor in her stomach made her look pregnant; it was horrible. her "death' face will always haunt me, but I was so glad she finally found peace... she fought so hard!!!! thanks again for your thoughts.
