  • dude, couldn't you put that in 3 sentences? -.-

  • oh come on, you can't sit still for 6 minutes <.<?

  • there is no problem in service pack 3 if your pc performance is high like: Intel pentium IV, intel core duo, intel quadrocore, intel xeon up; 3ghz up, 512mb ram up, 512 video card up, 150gb hardrive free space up... and etc... i tell you...

  • there's no problem with it now, i made this a while ago

  • Wow, i got a windows media center -.-''

anyway thankes for your warning, was about to dowload it too.

  • windows xp sp3 is fine now. this was made a LONG time ago as you can tell by the date :P

  • I've got media center on my computer with vista, If I install the update will it f*ck up??

  • vista rocks u just need a good system for it or it will suck

  • hey the last few days have been strange on the computer. i think it is a virus. like if i go to a search site like yahoo or google and type something, links come up as normal but the link it wrong and instead of taking me to the site it is supposed to go to, it takes me to some strange search site never heard of.

  • if you're using internet explorer for a browser then stop immediately. try using a different browser, like firefox or chrome. in any case, try emptying all cookies.

  • Amen to that brother...

  • Windows XP SP3 also didn't work on AMD processors... wouldn't boot. They probably fixed this, but I'm not mentally ready to go through that trauma again.

  • I'm scared to download it because of the threat of bugs

  • What happened to me:

Media Center TV: It just goes all weird and says all this stuff and closes.

Media Center Radio: It says I don't have any radio hardware, WTF!

Windows Movie Maker: Every time I start it it says "The file for video effects and transitions is missing" good thing I only use it to record.

But my computer is still running fine, overall.

  • MCE browser gives me an error. I have service pack 3 and it doesn't let me install it. Link to the MCE download you used?

  • it works perfectly

  • yep. they now have updated the software for xbox 360 media center extender :D

  • i did it and it worked fine

  • yep. they now have updated the software for xbox 360 media center extender :D

  • ok i just installed it! No bug for me!

  • yep. they now have updated the software for xbox 360 media center extender :D

  • thank god, i have media center version 2002 so i was just installing windows xp sp3, and i stopped when i saw this video PHEW

  • thats why i use a mac

  • well, Macs can run windows so that argument doesn't really work anymore, lol, but yeah, i use macs too, but some things i really need windows for so i use that too

  • I use XP Pro SP3 and it works fine. I don't have a 360 but I have a modded original I use as my media center which is networked with all my other PCs and I stream media to it fine.

  • i have an original xbox!

    long live the original.

  • you're such a child. you can't watch a video for 5 minutes? what are you 3 years old? grow up. take your Ritalin and Flintstones chewable vitamins and quit bitching! << thank you.

  • Hy excuse me you speak to much and i was bored tot the point if we dont use xbox its Xp Sp3 and problem or no and when yeah than say why please send me an mesage

  • ok, all i got out of that was that i talk too much and you were bored by it. i don't care if you were bored, seriously, you act like this is a problem i should fix. it's not! if you don't like a video, watch something else! that's called logic and common sense in case you've never heard of the two. please do us all a favor and don't bitch about things that don't need to be bitched about. thank you very much.

  • I can't watch this video on my laptop since I just updated it to sp3. Is it at all possible to rollback to sp2 so that my computer can stop sucking. And wtf is with Microsoft and that bitch Bill Gates, they've disappointing me lately. So much so that those Mac commercials are tempting me to switch.

  • yes, it is possible to rollback. if you go to control panel and then to add/remove programs, you should be able to uninstall SP3 in there. Microsoft has been a clusterfuck of a company from the beginning. (the anti-trust suite). they haven't changed much it seems.

  • it depends. SP3 works fine on my Windows XP Home Edition, but makes the ones with Media Center all funny.

  • Most of the time i'm like "dude, get to the point already". We dont care about what all computers and laptops you have, or your xbox. Post the video and get to the point!!

  • oh for fuck's sake <<. that's something i'd expect out of some snot nosed smartass 9 year old. grow up and quit whining and bitching about something so stupid and insignificant. the video SPECIFICALLY had to do with using the XBOX 360 as a MEDIA CENTER EXTENDER with windows xp MEDIA CENTER EDITION! so the xbox actually was relavent you arrogant snot! maybe if you actually took the time to listen to me you would've noticed that! take your "chill the fuck out, kid" pills, grow up, and get a life.

  • AMEN!!!

  • SP3 is known to have installation issues and, if installed, some programs has problem. My PC would never install IE7, nor WMP11.

  • Oh well too late. I already installed it on my MCE 2005 and so far so good.

  • Good to know

  • No I don't use zone alarm just windows firewall. But if anyone wants to install SP3 I would highly recommend that you don't use windows update or install the standalone update. Just slipstream it and install windows, it's really the only safe way to go. I install the standalone and couldn't boot my PC. Then I started getting it through windows update which deleted my internet settings and couldn't re setup it because it wouldn't accept my settings.

  • It killed my internet settings and every time I tried to set it up again it said my settings were invalid. The trick is to slipstream XP SP2 with SP3 and then install it. Then you won't have most of these problems. Don't install it as a standalone, it probably won't work, hence the reason my PC wouldn't boot up when I did it.

  • hmm, sounds like Service Pack 3 doesn't like certain hardware/computers then :/. that might be fixed later on, ya never know. i'd keep using windows update, just not download service pack 3. that's what i'm doing with my MCE PC now, and it's runnin just fine :P

  • I didn't get that bug sorry, but I installed it via disk so...

  • you mean you installed Windows XP MCE from a newer disc with Service Pack 3 included?

  • No I have home edition.

  • well then this video has nothing to do with your edition of windows :P. you got nothin to worry about. i've got home edition on my laptop and sp3 works great on it too

  • So far I've been in the green zone with Sp3, I mainly use my pc for gaming and also doing studies about pc's. but I'll surely keep in mind about that extender issue until Microsoft releases a support package for Sp3.

    Thanks for the Info!
