I would have made this a 6 pump and ariel appliance if I had been the first on scene. It's suprising how a small fire can get out of control. I an interested what the first 'informative' said. However, well done to the guys on scene.
I used to work at the Station Restaurant, I was working that day - all the smoke drifted inside, 2 of my collegues lived in one of the flats that got burnt down. all they got back was a broken camera and a set of car keys.
i'm just glad the Taj Mahal didn't set on fire to, the best thing they have in that town.
Yes John, i have seen the lot and although you are a professional photographer, there are good ones and bad ones, you are one of the good ones, very good ones.
Hi Ian thank you for you kind comment and I am pleased you did enjoy the rest of the clips, I think it will be a very long time before all the 16th century building are all rebuilt they are all listed buildings and it could take years.
Ths has to be the best fire video ever, as a retired retained fireman from Hampshire i can appreciate the way you have captured the interaction between crews and officers, team working etc.
But what makes this video special is the supurb filming of a large fire with the devastation it caused to beautiful buildings and the poignant aftermath filmed in such a very thoughful way.

Pugh, Pugh, Barney and his mates should've pointed their sprinklers towards the source of the fire rather than the smoke.

@ClintKumquat What a dumb comment. What they should have done is got more help, sooner, but then it is not apparent when they did call for more crews.
