I say this isn't cheap in this case because Olimar has an easy counter: drop pikmin with F-smash. It's the Olimar's own fault for not thinking things through.

but as if it fucking matters if its banned or not all u have to do is sit and be patient and wait on the person planking to get impatient OR wait for the right moment and come down on him with a bair and stage spike the bastard :/ it works if u know just when to come in with it and if there planking trust me thell get the timing

i have a cheap yoshi tactic 4 u: I was playing the original N64 SSB game, and, you know how Yoshi can turn people into eggs when he eats them? have yoshi stand at the edge of the stage facing the center, and when the opponent comes near, eat them, and he will crap them out off the edge of the stage, and they won't be able to get back up! (sometimes, you will have to push them off, too.) Metal mario lasted about five seconds against me with this tactic. it's cheap but it's funny as hell.

Too bad that if the person who get eated mashes on the controler fast he will break the egg and sruvive. What i didn't know was that this was possible on people in Metal... then it's an Insta kill so it may be very usefull then :)

Hardly a cheap tactic. For starters people can move while in the air as an egg. After Yoshi turns them into an egg they are popped in air for a brief moment. They can control themselves to land back on the stage. Second the person can just button mash and move all over the place to break out of the egg in less than a second. Hardly enough time for even somebody as metal to be killed.

Worked for me... especially on the metal mario stage cause he dropped like a rock. Maybe it's cause I'm playing the computer and not an acutal person.

Here's another one that actually works (doesn't always one-hit-kill, but seriously damages): Ness has a baseball bat in his backpack... use it...

Yeah, it's because you're using it against the computer. The doesn't work against humans, and the AI as well as physics has changed so much between games that it won't work at all unless you're playing a dumb AI. I already know about the bat. That's his forward smash and has been that since N64. Next you'll be telling me that you had just discovered it could reflect projectiles...
