I agree with Boneaparte386. It's her life experiences that fuel her passion for music. While the lyrics may not be as "angry" her musical and stage performance are still the same "old" Tori. She's not some robotic entertainer that simply looks at a keyboard and sings into a mic. She addresses the crowd directly as if singing the song to each and every one of them personally. That's what defines a great entertainer. That's why I think she is brilliant.

I don't think her songs are plastic. She's in a different place in her life (she's married, happy, has a daughter) she's not in "pain and depressed" anymore. It's true for musicians that pain makes for great music but cmon give her a break... she's happy now and in love :] I saw her live this past Tuesday and she's beautiful and played even more beautifully. I love all her songs. Tori = love <3

Things of note:

1. With that chord sequence, you can't fail to make a likeable song. This song though is immense.

2. We all love Tori and sometimes it's all we focus on, but Matt Chamberlain is doing some great drumming there; excellent ride cymbal work etc.

3. Not my favourite bass player on Tori records, but Jon Evans does a sterling job.

The best part about Tori though is she is an accomplished composer, and probably wrote BoC to be purposefully pleasing.

This is a good live version I reckon, I'm glad they didn't mix out the bosendorfer like most late night shows try to.

Good stuff, though a little heavy on the drums; these talk shows never seem to get the sound right. It saddens me that this is the only way that a lot of people hear Tori.

Still an awesome performance; I'm glad the cameras focused on her piano-playing ability. And she must like that gray vest;  it's the same one she wore for the performance in the video contest :>)
