Maybe my opinion can give a little more 'point' to the video for you

It's about the human race and about killing each-other.

It's about some things we do wrong to come out better ourselves

I also think they mean,

that from most we do, we don't know the consequence.

And that we don't know where things go in the universe. And what's out there.

And because the sun is the source off all life,

and at the end of the video the sun is destroyed,

So I think they mean that we are killing ourselves

I think theyre singing about humanity.

And the ball represents humanity flying too close to the sun. Our inquisitive nature is a great asset, and theres no changing it, but we could be screwed because of it.
