Jeez -- a lot of haters and guitar purists (read: ZEALOTS) here who don't understand that there is more than one approach to the guitar, and that effects can be treated as instruments unto themselves. Ask Edge or Tom Morello -- it doesn't HAVE to be fingers>guitar>amp. There is a lot to be said for the sonic creations that can be found by manipulating the guitar signal with fx or simply using fx alone to create sounds. Get over yourselves people.
@guitarrhythymfool ah i see lol, yeah i mean if you use all of it regularly go for it lol, But i have one digital board and my 5 analog pedals, BOSS mega dist., Delta lad Tube, XLR Chorus, JHS Boost, and my crybaby. :) But then again the board holds up to 900 effects mixes so...Maybe im just as bad lol
Analog vs. digital isn't the problem though. I have no problem using a digital flanger, chorus, or delay. Just when it comes to distortion or OD is when I really get picky about analog vs. digital.
@guitarrhythymfool AGREED! Analog for dist. and overdrive for me. Its not too bad on my digital board if i go into a vox tube and mic it into the system though.
u see the problem with this is, u gotta do a long jump to get the pedals on the second row, i dont wanna have to lung every time i wanna engage a pedal. do u REALLY need ALL of them???
It looks impressive. It has a lot of pedals. It's very big. And the best thing you could come up with as a demo for it is that awful piece of music playing over the video. Which somehow makes me feel a whole lot less impressed than I was at first!
If you cant find a good tone with your fingers, put down the guitar. Pedals are icing on the cake, but you have a cake made of icing. Very pleasing to immature people, but everyone else knows it has no substance.
Yea cause like icing can get to sweet and make you wanna throw-up and then you end up getting barf on your icing cake and stuff the you cant do nothin........(sarcasm)
If you have roadies and play stages big enough.....................als o if you play in a band that has to cover soooooo many different effected guitar sounds...........
Small clubs are pretty much out, with a rig like that.
It is a very nicely laid out board. Good luck to him. I hope he's playing large enough venues, that support a big rig, and fill up his wallet too.
That's friggin hooge. I literally hope that the guitarist's skill lives up the board itself. Otherwise, I think it's a bit overcompensation to have a board that much bigger than your guitar case. Think about it.
always the rich kids who have way too much stuff for no apparent reason......do you actually schlep that thing out of the house for gigs.....or is your bedroom your stage????
Absolutely ridiculous! This thing is way to big, but I guess when you got that many pedals it must be a little more convient. The size is totally laughable , until you see whats inside. Nice work
man oh man, such a nice pedal board and so many ugly tattoos, ..if you are fed up with a pedal you sell it, right? , what if you are fed up with your digusting tattoos???
I'm not even sure how this is supposed to make sense. A refugee huh, so I rest my case how do we get rid of douche bags (d-bags) such as yourself, BEAR HAIR?
Key word there might be "rack" and to be sure Edge is trying to deal with signal degrading. I am sure he is looping chains all over the place to keep the pass through down. High dollar patch bays and controller units. I love effects but one gets into a signal loss, enhance, signal loss, enhance daisy chain. You cannot change physics, long runs and connections have cap resistance accumulation. Plug one pedal into the amp and hear the difference.
Even if all those pedals were true bypass, that's a lot of tone to suck out of your guitar. Also you're stuck with them in a set order unless you re-patch the entire thing which looks like a giant pain in the ass.
You like electro harmonix i see. One of my favorite brands, but man a lot of interest of pedals is how many brands really are out there. Go look up proguitarshop and look at boutique pedals (try catalinbread-they're good). You will be pleased with the results. ;)

not really we went though lots and lots of different "prototypes" before settling with this design for the final. works well and the stair step design made it much more compact and allowed room for hiding every wire to keep the visible area as clean and neat as possible
