Loved this song when I was younger and first heard it. But now, now since"the years have turned our hair to silver" and so many of our child hood friends "love" didn't last, I realize how "amazing" it is that we still love each other so. You still call me "gorgeous, I still look at you at times and have to remind myself,..girl, breathe! I knew it when I was writing, "Mrs. Cook, on my notebooks when I was 14! I know it now. Told you so! Thanks for the love, baby. Thanks Dells for the song!
A song can evoke so many different memories ..when I listen to this, I always think of a promise my sister and I made when we were 10 and 12 - that we would always be together..even when we get old that was over 40 years ago..I miss her so ....
It isn't a big deal that Elvis is featured. This song is one of my parents' favorites. And my sister requested it at her wedding. This song, along with "Together" by the Intruders, "Hey Love" by the Delfonics and "You Are Everything" by the Stylistics are just a few songs that transcends race, creed, or color. In the words of the Timmy Thomas hit "Why Can't We Live Together": "No matter what colour, you are still my brother".
elvis is awesome, so i really dont know what y'all are complaining about, and the pics are showing him and his wife hence the title of the song "always together"
"Oh, What A Night" it was when the Dells first excited the world. "There Is" no other group like them. Feels like "I Can Sing A Rainbow", but alas, found myself wanting. And thus my "Love Is Blue" as I discover "My Pretending Days Are Over". However, "The Love We Had Stays on My Mind". Here's to the sound that will keep music lovers "Always Together". Thanks Marvin Junior, Johnny Carter, Mickey McGill, Verne Allison, and Chuck Barksdale.
I didn't figure everyione would like the Elvis connection here...When your hair has turned to silver? Whos' Pricilla's Elvis was dead by then--if it's even silver now. Great song though. One of the Dells' best!
Great Tune. I'm surprised at the video though. The song is entitled "Always Together". What made you decide to use a couple that was only married for 6 years?
LauraViolet this song brings back lots of memories ,all those basement parties and slow dancing.that,s what Chitown was about if i could turn back the hands of time I would.

BTW, though I'm not a big Elvis fan, he performed three songs I enjoy: "Suspicious Minds", "Kentucky Rain", and "In The Ghetto".

oldschoolen1,
By far, my favorite track by one of my best R & B groups of all time. Marvin Junior has some serious game.
Thanks for posting,
