that nbc peacock had 10 feathers at the time and i know its really true because i counted them.

That's right. That middle feather made it 11. It is the one that holds that tiny spray of feathers above the peacock's head.

oh god this nbc peacock is cool in the 1980s but i seen the oldest peacock in nbc and i seen almost every peacock in nbc

The nostalgia of seeing this very evocative logo (I was about 7 at the time) actually brought tears to my eyes. I love the music for this campaign as well. Thanks for sharing.

This'll definitely be under my Favorites. The '60's logo was great in its own way, but I (for one) stand in the opinion that this is the best of all the NBC logos. Props to whoever found this uncut version.

I also wish that this logo hadn't ended in 1986, only to have a 6-feathered peacock go on for close to 23 years and counting.

the real reason for nbc to switch to 6 feathers is that NBC had reorganised itself (under legendary head Bob Wright )

into 6 groups-Network operations ,Entertainment programming ,News Sports,O(wned ) And O(perated) Stations, and NBC Productions (now NBCU Television)
