Did you read the description? Maurice White has this song on his cd, Interpretations: Celebrating the Music of Earth, Wind, and Fire. Kirk didn't "mess with EWF" he got permission from the musical HEAD of EWF. Listen to the message of the song. There's is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Great song in imix up on my next iTunes on site. Amazing! If you know Maurice, tell him he was MAJOR in my story before I was pronounced dead and God brought me up to heaven. In a circle, we all prayed backstage in Dallas, and he had just gotten that first bible off the press. I came to the hotel after invited (no none of that), and he helped me some not knowing I had become an atheist. And Kirk, it was in Texas. Fathead, my cousin played in Ft Worth a lot at Bass's place. I think Christ looks at today's church and shakes his head. We are so interested in what man thinks is best instead of trying to reach out to others. Isn't it funny how the ridicule that Christ received never came from the "World"...it was always "church folk". It's clear that you guys dont understand what is being said. Smooth and funky music is fine, its not the style that i'm speaking against. Taking actual copywritten music that is produced by individuals that are antichrist( against Jesus) and offering it to Jesus is what i'm speaking against. Kirk franklin could've just as easly used his God given talent to put those words to original music. Gospel artists are the only people that get 5 thumbs up for being copy cats. What's that?!

Sounds like there's a group of people that never want to hear the truth when it hurts. Jesus overturned the tables in the synagogue and was furious with the priests because because of what they were doing. Positive or negative? That says to me that we need to tell the truth in love even when it's uncomfortable. Being a living sacrifice doesn't always feel positive.

Anyone who knows the history and music of EWF knows that whatever they are singing, their music has never been that far from spiritual. It's always been positive and uplifting, even when it does not specifically mention spirituality. Check out the FIRST seven (7) albums. Maurice (and Philip)have also recorded with the Hawkins family on several occasions. Find me one song of EWF that can be considered totally "worldly". I DARE YA!

Truthfully we shouldn't mix secular with gospel. Be in the world and not of the world. There has to be a line drawn, and i think it needs to start with our music. After all, lucifer's strongest weapon is music, hopefully you know his history in heaven. David cast a demon out of King Saul through music alone, so if we can cast them out through music, we can definitely usher them in through music. Stop taking secular music and regergetating it to God. We don't need to copy the world, they copy us!

Did you know that the book of Psalms is one giant song?Music exists in every form to either inspire, or lift the spirits of people who appreciate it. Just imagine how many people will hear the message of God and find other Christian videos because they did a search for an Earth Wind & Fire song and found this version of the song. Do you even know the words to EWF's "September"? It might as well have been gospel. MOST of their songs were/are about getting in touch with you, knowing there is a higher being protecting you, and knowing that unity will make us all better. That's a little over the top. But I would say that it's not a very good adaptation to September. I don't like ANY ONE messing around with Earth Wind & Fire's music. Leace IT the way it is. That's a group and a sound that CAN NEVER be duplicated. So people shouldnt even try. They should just listen to it and appreciate the shear genius of it. There will never be another EWF!

Did you read the description? Maurice White has this song on his cd, Interpretations: Celebrating the Music of Earth, Wind, and Fire. Kirk didn't "mess with EWF" he got permission from the musical HEAD of EWF. Listen to the message of the song. There's is absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Great song in imix up on my next iTunes on site. Amazing! If you know Maurice, tell him he was MAJOR in my story before I was pronounced dead and God brought me up to heaven. In a circle, we all prayed backstage in Dallas, and he had just gotten that first bible off the press. I came to the hotel after invited (no none of that), and he helped me some not knowing I had become an atheist. And Kirk, it was in Texas. Fathead, my cousin played in Ft Worth a lot at Bass's place. Well, the version by Kirk Franklin is fairly new, but, yes, EWF's original is a classic.
P.S. EWF is an inspiration to all music makers and lovers, and by creating this album, the artists have spread good music to a newer generation, like me. Oh yeah, and I think it was time for someone to make a gospel remake of SOMETHING.
