I hated dragon age 2 with every fibre in my body, I completed DA:O on nightmare so DA:2 just felt so easy, there was only 1 remotely challenging fight which was the qunari leader, which I died twice on. I died three times over all in the entire game on it's hardest difficulty and I'm not even a hardcore gamer. The setting sucked, the storyline was non-existance. The only characters that I liked in the game where Merryl and Isabella, all in all DA:2 was just awful... Legacy was all right though.
Your thoughts on dragon age are the exact opposite of mine. I hated the "pretty" graphics of the second one. I hated the fact that I was stuck in a town that I despised so much I would have destroyed it myself if I had been given the option. I hated the fact that the most important decisions about my character were made for me. It didn't "make me care", it made me mad. And what I think I hated the most was going from an epic "save the world" story, to simple personal intrigue and politics.

I hated Dragon Age Origins too, but because it had terrible combat mechanics that made the game too easy; because it was badly written with a bunch of boring and unoriginal characters; because map design was very bad with no art direction and because the game color palette was made out of 16 shades of brown.
Dragon Age 2 was a complete atrocity and the only RPG ever I couldn't endure enough to complete, and I play RPGs since Crystals of Arborea.
I had no trouble with origins, I loved it and thought it was great, I played on Hard and had no problems. DA2 played on hard and I feel like I could close my eyes and press buttons and win, combat was fun and great but the story was too linear, every map was the same, I did like the companions(mostly fenris cuz he's BA) DA origin brought a better experience to the table and I would play that again over 2 any day of the week
Okay Dragon Age is AMAZING!! Both of them, and you probably died so much because you didn't spend your specialization points properly and set up you classes properly... But yeah both of them are amazing and i love them :3

Well the data was from VGchartz. Now when Mass Effect came out, I think it the numbers were for the PC version, VGchartz published numbers being really low. Bioware came out and say they were wrong and sales number are significantly higher.
They did not deny the numbers being post on their forums, in fact Gaider even said the reason for the sales numbers was because it was released in March and not the holiday season.
And I believe it's both EA and Bioware. Just look at the leaders/bosses at Bioware, they seem to want to make crappy dumb down games. One of them was even the guy that did the "press a button and something awesome happens" stupidity.
Though SW:TOR seems to be immune to that affect so far. Sure it is has been wowifed, but WoW copied other MMOs so meh, but it still seems to be true to what Bioware use to stand for. Story among other things.

SW:TOR has still very little info shown. This is an mmo and what they shown us is like what 1% of the full thing. Yet I can not have the feeling the reassion why ME2 and DA2 sucked was because of TOR. Just saying it seems like all their staff and money is in TOR.
Well I ME3 it seems is now even more shooter then RPG now which is unfortunate. But there are still some RPG elements and they even added some that they removed. But we shall see if it was more then RPG then ME2 was. Though I still thought ME2 was a great game.
I will only play DA3 if they go back to DA:O like gameplay and even UI. The UI is horrible in DA2.

You're wrong about DA:O. It happens: the first time I watched "Pulp Fiction" I hated it. You need to give it more of a chance, and if you come across situations you can't handle in the early game, avoid them and tackle them later, or take your own advice and change the difficulty.
I don't understand how you can think it's ugly though. It makes me doubt your judgement. The only thing that would make sense would be if you didn't play it for long enough to optimise your graphics settings.
Dragon Age: Origins is one of the worst games ever made (there I said it). The dialog, controls and battlesystem sucked so bad that i would punch myself with a hammer over and over again rather then playing that piece of crap game one more time.

I like Dragon Age 2, but it's NOT nearly as good as origins. DA2 is a great game, but DA:O is (to me) legendary. I like it more than mass effect by far (which I'm going to be flamed for). DA2 has a somewhat more casual-friendly game control, but for a deep, engaging story, DAO is definately the game for that.
i liked dragon age, the only reason i stopped playing it was because of the point and click system. I wanted a game where i can dynamically move and attack instead of clicking and waiting. Other than that dragon age had a really good story and memorable characters imo
DA:O has a replayability value (I checked all the posible origins for the character), and the game was full of options. Sure, it was hard, but intense. And i mean hard i was frustrated some times.
DA II, is boring as hell. And is not interesting at all to replay this game. The reutilization of the same enemies, and maps, over and over again, doesn't help a history that is impossible to care about.
I am the exact opposite. I have completed DA:O at least 3 times, problabyl more like 5 because I've had a few different Mage playthroughs. I haven't even completed DA2 because I found it to be boring.

You didn't even get out of the Kocari wilds....How can you judge Origins on just the first hour? I have done 6 playthroughs of Dragon age Origins and I realize that the Kocari wilds are a pain in the ass and not that much fun, but it's right before the story really gets going so you can't really judge the game before it really begins

The graphics were fucking Terrible compared to Origins or any other game. The fucking thing looked like it could easily run on a PS2 without pushing any of it's limits.

I hated Dragon Age Origins too, but because it had terrible combat mechanics that made the game too easy; because it was badly written with a bunch of boring and unoriginal characters; because map design was very bad with no art direction and because the game color palette was made out of 16 shades of brown.
Dragon Age 2 was a complete atrocity and the only RPG ever I couldn't endure enough to complete, and I play RPGs since Crystals of Arborea.

I had no trouble with origins, I loved it and thought it was great, I played on Hard and had no problems. DA2 played on hard and I feel like I could close my eyes and press buttons and win, combat was fun and great but the story was too linear, every map was the same, I did like the companions(mostly fenris cuz he's BA) DA origin brought a better experience to the table and I would play that again over 2 any day of the week

Vastly improved graphics? Uh no. The graphics are actually more detailed for pretty much every character in DA:O.
Not to mention the art style for the Dalish is horrible. Alistar now looks like he's 40 plus years old and fat ffs.
Combat is pure shit, animations are ironically just like JRPGs.
The same thing Bioware was laughing just what, 2 years ago?
Conclusion, DA2 is pure shit.

I remember the sale number topics being updated every week and how the only replies from people who worked at Bioware were defensive in nature. Not one denied the numbers, something I found funny.
I wish I had know the guy that was the lead designer of DA:O resigned over what they were doing to DA2 before I bought DA2. Then I would of know the demo was the full version of the game basically.

Their game quility has sadly been going done ever sence they joined up with EA. Is this EA fault or is BW just not giving a care about making good games anymore.

Well the data was from VGchartz. Now when Mass Effect came out, I think it the numbers were for the PC version, VGchartz published numbers being really low. Bioware came out and say they were wrong and sales number are significantly higher.
They did not deny the numbers being post on their forums, in fact Gaider even said the reason for the sales numbers was because it was released in March and not the holiday season.

And I believe it's both EA and Bioware. Just look at the leaders/bosses at Bioware, they seem to want to make crappy dumb down games. One of them was even the guy that did the "press a button and something awesome happens" stupidity.
Though SW:TOR seems to be immune to that affect so far. Sure it is has been wowifed, but WoW copied other MMOs so meh, but it still seems to be true to what Bioware use to stand for. Story among other things.

@mecher3k Yeah I do agrea their quility is still dropping. While I am not hold my breath for ME3 to be epic. I at less want to see how it ends. DA2 really made me not even want to play DA3. Not even if they gave it to me.
SW:TOR has still very little info shown. This is an mmo and what they shown us is like what 1% of the full thing. Yet I can not have the feeling the reassion why ME2 and DA2 sucked was because of TOR. Just saying it seems like all their staff and money is in TOR.

Well I ME3 it seems is now even more shooter then RPG now which is unfortunate. But there are still some RPG elements and they even added some that they removed. But we shall see if it was more then RPG then ME2 was. Though I still thought ME2 was a great game.
I will only play DA3 if they go back to DA:O like gameplay and even UI. The UI is horrible in DA2.
And I'm a beta tester for a SW:TOR. Can't say anything more then that unfortunately.

You're wrong about DA:O. It happens: the first time I watched "Pulp Fiction" I hated it. You need to give it more of a chance, and if you come across situations you can't handle in the early game, avoid them and tackle them later, or take your own advice and change the difficulty.
I don't understand how you can think it's ugly though. It makes me doubt your judgement. The only thing that would make sense would be if you didn't play it for long enough to optimise your graphics settings.

Dragon Age: Origins is one of the worst games ever made (there I said it). The dialog, controls and battlesystem sucked so bad that i would punch myself with a hammer over and over again rather then playing that piece of crap game one more time.

I like Dragon Age 2, but it's NOT nearly as good as origins. DA2 is a great game, but DA:O is (to me) legendary. I like it more than mass effect by far (which I'm going to be flamed for). DA2 has a somewhat more casual-friendly game control, but for a deep, engaging story, DAO is definately the game for that.

i liked dragon age, the only reason i stopped playing it was because of the point and click system. I wanted a game where i can dynamically move and attack instead of clicking and waiting. Other than that dragon age had a really good story and memorable characters imo

DA:O has a replayability value (I checked all the posible origins for the character), and the game was full of options. Sure, it was hard, but intense. And i mean hard i was frustrated some times.
DA II, is boring as hell. And is not interesting at all to replay this game. The reutilization of the same enemies, and maps, over and over again, doesn't help a history that is impossible to care about.
