I agree that sleeping in your makeup is bad but I do know what she means. I use to not take off my black eyeliner and black eye shadow before I went to sleep or take a nap and when I would wake up, it would be smudged in a really nice way that made it looked smoked out. I know not everyone gets that result, but I did.

Like she said in the interview she sleeps with her makeup. I don't think she advocates that, but she does it for the look she like when she wakes up and is all smudgy and you can add an eyeshadow to blend it again just so you can run out the door and look done up.

Another person who I've heard has done something like that is Beyonce, she slept in her makeup the night before her album 4 photoshoot and she liked the edgy look and all they had to do was add a little shadow or more mascara, liner.

Nails Inc is FANTASTIC! Sleeping in your makeup? NOT fantastic. I understand if you happen to fall asleep without removing your makeup occasionally, but to recommend others to sleep in their makeup is awful.

When I was MUCH younger I probably agreed with her about sleeping in my makeup but only my eye makeup because I would pass out drunk as soon as I rolled in at like 4am then sleep for like 2 1/2hrs and wake up, wash my face around my eye makeup, brush my teeth and hair and rush to get to work for 7am. I obviously would NEVER do that now as an esthetician, but hey I was like 17 or 18.. I didn't know any better. It's really not that serious people. We were all young and stupid once... Live & Learn!

@MaMaisoon I think she was serious! I don't think she meant for every single day but I have noticed that my foundation looks much more natural the next morning if I have been lazy and slept in it. I guess it's a poor girl's way of getting a "dewy finish" without having to buy luminizers and highlighters and stuff hahahah.
