Wii Hacking 101 - Installing The HomebrewChannel on Your Wii

So i want to unlock everything on Mario kart wii, or just have unlimted stars and beat everything. and I don't have a CLUE about hacking lol. do i need internet to download homebrew?

I got the Homebrew channel, currently running the USB Loader GX to play back up games therw an external harddrive. Games such as Resident Evil 4 etc. is running great. But currently new games can't be played. What do I need to upgrade? Or what do I need to do to be able to play newer games? If anybody can help me out, thatll be great. thanks in advance.

look up bannerbomb, but make sure you have the sd card menu first

the hack file wont copy to Wii, saying it's already there (wich is a real save file), if i delete that and try again, it says "it might not have been copied". i think i should downgrade but how ?

When you copy it to wii just choose E,U or J.

Simple.

Note: Backup your files on the SD if u have any.

i already did the homebrew..n then i upgrade wii 4.0..but i downgrade it back to 3.3u..after all i delete homebrew to make a new one..using your guide but when it start to download it saya my ios 12,it need ios 16 to run...please help me

Alright I need help! I have the homebrew channel i can get to it on the main menu, but when i go to the homebrew channel all i see are the gecco and the globe at the lower right corner and the bubbles. It says networking not initialized. What should i do?

when my codes read on the black screen, i dont get a valid .dol or .elf image dectected and just reads exception 300 occurred and it just freezes! How do you get it to say valid .elf image?

the ROOT of your SD card is the first folderin your sd card. I.E. The first window that opens up when u click ur CD card (the ROOT), or source.

sorry, im very technical and cant seem to explain it better that that. Being technical is one of my best/worst flaws :P

try formatting your SD card. then re-dl the boot.elf and try it

it could brick your wii, but i dont think it has bricked anyones wii yet!

i mean its like getting a brick by downloading a game from wii shop channel. its possible, but it just doesnt happen.

this now works with 3.3 system menu, and yes, the wii plays nentendo gamecube games. i got Twin Snakes(GC) just for my Wii cuz there no Wii version :P

Do you still need the zelda tp disc after you have installed the hombrew channel because I was planning on renting this again I was on the sky temple I just havent got around to buying it yet.

nope! you dont need the disc or the save file after the Homebrew CHannel is installed. just reload your old zelda save :D

great guide man. i tried doing it the ISO way for my wiikey... but every time i popped the disc in it gave me an error. so i did it twilight hack way and its worked great. ;D
