I wonder if ten years from now will there be a CryEngine 7 with 1222 Light Sources, and with different geometrical shadows along with graphical combinations.Responde to my comment and I will responde to yours.
@AlienTheFallen2 IN seven years (if mankind doesn't blow itself up first) we'll probably have FULL realtime global illumination and ambiant occlusion. You know, like they have in nonrealtime 3D apps like 3DS and Maya and Lightwave... and Vue)
It's just the engine for a game. It will be used by Crytek, which funnily enough are also the programmers of the engine, to make the game Crysis 2. Crysis 2 will come to PC, XBox 360 and PS3.
Yes I do understand the point of the video using Deferred lighting and etc but I noticed there is no real time shadow. I wondered what it will be like if shadows were enabled
More slow. This is just a good case scenario. With shadows they will max the lights to 16 or less, without shadows they can use up to 400 lights per scene.
Yeah, of course it will be slow, I don't think you understand what I meant. I wondered what it would look like with shadows on. It would be crazy with 400 light sources. =o
awesome !
