Pardon me for being so confused, but what war is this supposed to be? I know France has troops in Afghanistan, but they wear green camoflage and use FAMAS rifles (Not m-16s! Unless the director is being apathetic when it comes to accurate equipment).
@TheWaluigiman1 And you can't speak English. I prefer not being able to fight instead of not knowing my languages... Might come out more handy;) Peace, Yah man.
Lille ( Ryssel in Flemish ) is one of the greatest town of Flanders and Lille are in France , me i have Flemish origin , if you are saving go and buy a brain ..
Me i'm French with Flemish origin and i'm proud of that . What do you think of the problems between the Flemish and the Wallons in Belgium ? Are you for the separation ?
@jeffkodiac well if u see it practically its bettter for flanders to be separated from wallon.. cause we pay tons of mony to wallons and now bruxelles has asked for another i think it was 300.000.000 euros from flanders and we are totaly different people; other language, its like a diferent country already so i wouldnt mind if it separated But for the wallons it would be really bad :p
I understand that the Flemish want to separate .For Wallons can also be a good thing if they belong to France , but let the French and Wallons agree . Is that Flanders will be attached to Netherlands ?
@jeffkodiac well I HOPE NOT i'd rather be just a belgian then dutch most flemish people really dont like dutch guys well dont like: they (we, a lot of flemish people)
we think they're rediculous and have a f*** up accent :s :))
Sorry ii'm wrong , i thought the Flemish were more closer to the Dutch . I think that you personally love that Belgium continue to exist but i may be wrong . I have also heard that the French were not very well accpeted in Flanders , but i wonder if the Flemish do not confuse the French with the Waloons .
Because lately i've been to Ghent ( a marvelous ctiy ) and i do not speak Flemish , i requested information from the Flemish in French and they answered me in French with great kindess . I were surprised
@jeffkodiac yea well me personaly i dont really like wallons not all of them just generaly :) but im okay with the french :p well i would love keeping Belgium "allive" but without us flemish people paying taxes to wallons XP
Well but you know in France there are also rich regions paying a little for the poorer regions , it is called solidarity . I think the big problem in Belgium is the cultural differences between Flemishs and Waloons . i believe this problem is insoluble.
i think that long ago the people called Lille the capital of the Flanders . You know that there are still people who speak Flemish in the North of France and in this area there is also a Flemish legacy .
@jeffkodiac Really ? I am french from flemish roots too and I can't find anything left of the flemish culture in the country (compared to bretons which have many schools in their language) Only family names seem to have remained. But if you noticed some reminiscence of it then you see me glad.
@kirillVDA : jup, a lot. i live on the border of france (poperinge), when you cross the border they still understand flemish and can even speak in our 'flat' accent
It's not really about the french itself. It's basically about the fact that we(Flemish) have mandatory lessons of french in school while the walloons don't have mandatory dutch lessons. The reason being that many walloons think or at least used to, that French is a big language and Dutch not so much, disregarding the fact that Flemish are the majority in Belgium which to us came of as quiet arrogant. So it's more about politeness and respect for the Flemish than the french language.
I heard that the Flemish had suffered greatly from lack of recognition of their culture in Belgium. I do not know much about this culture that is nevertheless one of my ancestors, but from what I could see, this culture is incredibly rich.

it is hard to do the film justice in a trailer as the real rewards come from staying with the whole film - which is great in my opinion :)
