@vinvic1001 You can change it to any text you desire by simply going to the normal screensaver settings for that screensaver and choosing to put in custom text instead of the time. Save it, then you can put your normal screensaver back on if you want, then follow the instructions in the video for the 3D text and you'll have whatever you put in the settings box as your background.

@GCHArlie72 Simply hit the Windows key on your keyboard and the taskbar will re-appear so you can start a program or switch programs. If you don't have any programs open, I'm pretty sure it automatically hides it. Just hit the Windows key and you're good to go.

Hey what if i just want a picture of a screensaver. Is there anyway i can take pictures(Frames) Out of a screensaver?

I suppose you could preview the screen saver in the normal window, then hit the Print Screen (PrtSc) button on your keyboard, open Paint, hit Ctrl+V, and save that image and use it.

You can't use this trick on XP, but I'm sure there are programs if you Google "Screensaver desktop XP" you should find one.

Is there a way to use a custom downloaded screen saver? It would be so awesome. It does not seem to work with custom ones when I used this method. Know any other method I could use for a downloaded screen saver?

Okay, first, make sure that your screensaver is in your C:/Windows/System32 folder. Figure out the name of your new screensaver (It will end in .scr)

Go into CMD and follow the exact same steps in the video, replacing bubbles.scr or whatever with *SCREENSAVERNAME*.scr (Replace *SCREENSAVERNAME* with the name of your screensaver.)

hey when i do this the screensaver comes up but it stuffs up my monitor, like evrything flickers and u cant do anything.

If you used a screensaver like "Bubbles.scr" then it will not look right. For the stuffing up the monitor, with flicker and etc., I have no clue. Do you use a CRT or an LCD monitor? CRT is very deep and usually makes noises when it turns on. LCD is a flat-panel which is silent when starting.

yeah i have a 19 inch lcd screen. by the way i've tried mystify, and ribbons, both have cause this problem. do you think its my vidoe card?? becasue i do have a crappy one. its the ati radeon 9250 128mb.

I've got an ATI Radeon and it works fine on mine. Mine is 256MB shared Vram though. I think it might be the OS. Does sstext3d.scr work? (3D Text)
