  • Hello, I just downloaded the TCPMP for my Tungsten T3 and it plays my AVI files great except it won't fill the entire screen in landscape mode. For some reason I can't hide the grafitti area. I noticed yours is fully filling the screen with the grafitti area hidden. Mine isn't even highlighted as an option to hide it. Any suggestions? Thanks!

  • @ashleybumgardner1 Hi, yes, if you look at the row of icons below the graffiti area. There is one, resembling a sort of scribble pattern, that will toggle your graffiti area on and off.

  • Hey, I have a T3 using TCPMP software. But the video is real choppy. Any suggestions?

  • Hi there, I saw your T3 video. Unfortunately there is little you can do with TCPMP, as there are no caching settings. The only thing I can suggest is that you convert your the videos you want to watch on your desktop to something the T3 can handle. FWIW, my T3 could handle XVid without any choppyness.

  • Hey David, thx for the response. Actually, I founf a free software that converts my MPEG-4 video to 3GP. Now I can watch the movie and it looks great. thx for your help.

BTW, the free software is called "DVD Video Soft"

  • how do i put dvd movies into my T3? i went on that website and it had a whole bunch of stuff about dvd to ipod iphone and psp im not sure what to do plz help thnx

  • I'm sure there is a better way than this... but, I just put my movies on a memory card.

  • wow tht was fast as hell

  • wat type of ipod

  • any1 know how to use the dialer on this?

  • Which dialer do you mean? The Bluetooth one? Afraid I don't know of an audio DTMF dialer, although that would be great :)

  • I've used this program on each and every one of my Palm OS 5 handhelds and on my two Casioppeia handhelds (PPC). Its the coolest program to use when your flying, taking a long car ride, or if you just want to watch cool stuff on your palm. I've watched all kinds of stuff using it such as ripped DVDs and videos from YouTube.

  • How do you get on with battery usage when watching stuff? I find I can get little more than say, 100 minutes, from it before the battery is exhausted.

  • when i used my palm zire 72, i replaced the li-ion with a li-poly, the cassioppeias had multiple user-replaceable batterys, and my tungsten t5 has a 1100 (mah?) battery, so it can handle a huge charge. i also keep the screen brightness below 40% while watching movies. and if u realy liked tcpmp, u should check out ljp(little john program), its a nes, snes, genesis and gb emulator. i was playing supermario rpg and super mario world just the other day on it.

  • Thanks :)

  • i can't get fullscreen video! how did you do it? wich version of tcpmp? i'm using .72rc1

  • I still have version 0.71 as was used in this video.

  • all formats are opened in fullscreen? do you use a specific configuration into the player?

  • No, when I open a file I'm in GUI mode, I have to tap the "full" button to make it go full screen. If you go the video section of the preferences, you can set how it goes to full screen.

  • there is a patch, it allows to use full screen, not only tcpmp!

  • you can remove the white border atleasd it worked with my t3

  • whats programs is it ?

  • "TCPMP"

  • cool thanks for the advice, oh and i noticed that the t3 has a sliding feature which makes the screen a lot larger than the zire 72 cuz thats what i have now

  • is the t3 battery life short when you watch videos ?

  • It does seriously reduce battery life, but you can still watch more than a full length film on a single charge.

  • oh.. but is the video clear and frame rate good cuz im planing to get either a t3 or a tx rather than an ipod video:)

  • Yes, the frame rate is is fine, and the 480x320 screen size is surprisingly good.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend using a Palm OS devices as a media viewer. Although - I wouldn't recommend using it away from home. Like I said, you can watch a whole film on a full charge, but you won't have a lot of power left if you are going to be doing other things, especially if you're using the Bluetooth or WiFi radio too.
