this song, and this episode helped me to remember car accidente i had when i was child ,wich changed my whole life and lost memories becourse of head enjurings... hours and hours of therapy didn't help me to remember ....and then i watched this episode and heard this song, and it all came to me in my sleep, and now I'm calm becourse it herasted me for years but now remembered that it wasn't my fault..thank you <3

@dyyveke Actually I think the 8 year old girl is a representation of Meredith when she was that age. Considering she lived in the hospital she was used to being alone. She was around the medical field, her mom was basically training her to be a doctor. Just a theory

Keep in mind that water is freezing cold, hypothermia was starting to set in. Which the body will basically stop circulating blood to the limbs that way it can keep the major organs functioning. My pet peeve in this episode is that area is huge, the likely hood that someone could just dive down and find a person without any equipment is slim to none. But this is a fictional story

Even though removing it is a minor procedure and everyone KNOWS this, you're still going to be worried and anxious because this isn't happening to just anyone, it's happening to your child. So while others have brain tumors and cancers, which is a major thing, you're still going to be worried about a "minor" issue and there's nothing wrong with that. I just wanted to explain :)
