Hey i just bought the same car from a guy its a very nice car with only 110k miles, and i got the same two keys like you should but the guy told me he only used the grey one and that the black was an extra but the look nothing alike. the black one will go into the ignition but will not turn over. the only thing it does is u nlock my driver door, and i see this one is different, what should i do?
omfg.... i can spot numerous areas in which your attention to detail is lacking... and i am not even halfway done with the video. check the cupholders for residue of spills and the center console always!! good god!! and the storage in the sides of the doors too!!

Seriously, people give them bad rep because they only see the riced out ones that people abuse (sadly) try to find one that was well taken care of, and it will be a fantastic car. They are fairly reliable, sporty, drive pretty nice, comfortable, and just overall good cars. Dont be afraid to get one. But if you can, and know how to drive one, you should seriously consider getting a manual transmission one.

I'm 6 foot 2 and I fit well in my eclipse. If you buy one of these check the paint very well. Mitsubishi paint sucks. Look by every seal and edge for any chipping or flaking. Other than cosmetics this car is great. I've owned a 2002 eclipse gt for a little over a year and love the savings in gas and insurance. Most insurance companys consider my car an economy car for some reason and I save tons!
@maabe884 I completely agree with that. My 03 RS paint has some stains on it.. they look like rain stains. I'd say that would be one of the only few problems ive had with the car. @troyed00 personally i hate how they designed the back seat its uncomfortable and the space is tiny, im 5'1 and i felt cramped up. my friend had one it was great driving around with the roof down but the back seat was truly uncomfortable, worse than a wooden bench but still a great car, im considering buying one
@troyed00 It's not exactly very comfortable in the back. But that might be since I am 5'11 I have about an inch or so spare of head room and knee room is ok too but what kills me is my feet if the seat is all the way back. If the seat is a little up then I can ride ok. It's good for short trips but I wouldnt take a very long trip in the back seat. I still love the car though. BTW someone shorter than maybe 5'8 should be able to ride comfortably

@datpimpinboy Well, ur gonna get high insurance rate either way since u are still a teen. Regardless of what car u may have. Are you putting your name on you parents insurance or your own? If it's on your own then yeah, be prepare to cash out 150-200 per month. Basically insurance company tend to charge first time drivers who have a manual/coupe/sporty like car.

@MrRexable if your talkin about the eclipse buddy you need to look at some reliable research a eclipse's hp depends on the model. most eclipse's have 210hp stock

these cars are definitely fun to drive, i own a 2002 mitsubishi eclipse gt, it drives great and never had a problem with it so far, and when you have them sounding good like mine (greddy exhaust), and looking good (aftermarket body kit) they are such a head turner car hehehe i love mine and wouldnt give it up for anything

@beHIndthecoDE Hey, idk if you already bought one, but just in case, I thought I'd give you my two cents on the topic, since I own an 01 eclipse gt myself. =) I bought it used, so I can't say every detail about it, and I only recently got it about two months ago, but from what I've seen, they're decently reliable. I do have problems with the engine temp. increasing frequently. Also, the turning is terrible in that car! But other than those things, I would recommend getting one!

Well I guess in Canada it's different cuz they're pretty cheap insurance-wise here in the US o.O But I would say go for the eclipse, my cousin says that he had a few guys in his car/racing team that had Tiburons and that they had a lot of problems with them. Then again, they were racing them so any car that's being pushed will show its limitations eventually! Hope this all helps out though, good luck with the car shopping!

@beHIndthecoDE i live in canada 2 i just checked out the insurance for 2001 mitsubishi with presidents choice insurance and it was 2786/yr which i dont think is THAT bad considering i did it under my dads name who's been driving for more than 20 yrs , u still could consider putting it on someone like your father/mother/cousing/grandparents who have a clean driving record you could get it pretty cheap. o damn. well to be honest with you learning standard is just like learning to drive a 2 wheeler. i tought myself how to drive standard. it just takes some practice and a big open space.
pretty easy to do... in a week of driving you have it down to where you dont even have to think about it anymore... just remember gas off clutch brake gear down for stopping/slowing down & gas off clutch gear gas for going, starting is the hardest part to learn though as you have to kinda rev it as you let off the clutch & i guess hills are a little challenging at first butlook up some videos, its pretty easy :)

@MrRexable if your talkin about the eclipse buddy you need to look at some reliable research a eclipse's hp depends on the model. most eclipse's have 210hp stock

my girlfriend has a 00 gs, its a nice little car but i would deff get the gt over the rs and gs, the 4 cylinder is doggish. other than that great little cars and they look good!

these cars are definitely fun to drive, i own a 2002 mitsubishi eclipse gt, it drives great and never had a problem with it so far, and when you have them sounding good like mine (greddy exhaust), and looking good (aftermarket body kit) they are such a head turner car hehehe i love mine and wouldnt give it up for anything

i like the vids, would you recommend this car? im actually looking into getting one, they're pretty cheap for this year. im in canada. are they fun to drive, reliable any problems etc.?

hey thanks for the quick reply. where im at this model eclipse goes for like 5 to 7 grand. for that money i can get the 03 corolla, 04 civic, or 03 sentra. now im a student, so like with gas and insurance, reliability and well the best car all around, what would you pick? you deffinitly know your cars, and im sure youve been in most of these. and another question: are there any better options?

@beHIndthecoDE Hey, idk if you already bought one, but just in case, I thought I'd give you my two cents on the topic, since I own an 01 eclipse gt myself. =) I bought it used, so I can't say every detail about it, and I only recently got it about two months ago, but from what I've seen, they're decently reliable. I do have problems with the engine temp. increasing frequently. Also, the turning is terrible in that car! But other than those things, I would recommend getting one!

Thanks man, i really appreciate your response. getting a good eclipse these days is looking pretty expensive, with insurance and everything. my options are being narrowed down to an 2002-2006 tiburon, but i think i would prefer the eclipse.

Well I guess in Canada it's different cuz they're pretty cheap insurance-wise here in the US o.O But I would say go for the eclipse, my cousin says that he had a few guys in his car/racing team that had Tiburons and that they had a lot of problems with them. Then again, they were racing them so any car that's being pushed will show its limitations eventually! Hope this all helps out though, good luck with the car shopping!

@beHIndthecoDE i live in canada 2 i just checked out the insurance for 2001 mitsubishi with presidents choice insurance and it was 2786/yr which i dont think is THAT bad considering i did it under my dads name who's been driving for more than 20 yrs , u still could consider putting it on someone like your father/mother/cousing/grandparents who have a clean driving record you could get it pretty cheap. Good luck

I would work my ass off for one of these if I had a job they have awesome interior the only thing is I want a gs not gt gs is good on gas and has 300hp to boast which is good for a 4 cyl

Cannot go to 300 HP? What shit are you smoking? I have a Ripp Mods Supercharger stage 3 with 19psi, well over 400WHP. These cars will run if you have the right upgrades. Just sucks it doesnt have AWD.

pretty easy to do... in a week of driving you have it down to where you dont even have to think about it anymore... just remember gas off clutch brake gear down for stopping/slowing down & gas off clutch gear gas for going, starting is the hardest part to learn though as you have to kinda rev it as you let off the clutch & i guess hills are a little challenging at first butlook up some videos, its pretty easy :)
