@mewmew34 Why do you hate slings? Babywearing has been shown in many studies to be GOOD for babies, especially premies. It regulates heartbeat, breathing, circulation, just to name a few. Babies that are worn have much lower rates of colic as babies and obesity, hypertension, diabetes (types 1 and 2) and depression as adults. As for suffocating, as long as the baby's face is not covered (common sense), there is very low risk of that or any injury.

No matter how well you put on a sling your babies back and neck is not adequately protected against sudden movements like jumping, so holding their back and head when you do make sudden moves is a very good idea.
