thanks man, I was so close to getting the 8 series but went for the 9.. next upgrade avr pioneer sc-lx81 should have in 2 months.

cannot wait to upgrade the avr to play the latest codecs on bluray.

lx81 is a good amp but is a little bit underpowered for speakers of that size. But nonetheless its a fantastic avr, great features and lots of options and codecs. Upgraded to an lx90 but I still use the lx81 as a stereo amp.

mate, would die for the lx90 but out of the price range.. hooked up the sc-lx81 very happy with it ,scored the chord company cables today and it's blows me away I can only imagine the lx90. next upgrade b&w speakers.. maybe in year or so time.. but can't help to upgrade the graphics card to the hd 5870 on the pc they look awsome. what speakers your running??

I am currently running a pair of TDL RTL 4's for my main fron speakers, a paradigm Seismic 12 Subwoofer, My rears and side surrounds are PMC TB2I's and my display is a pioneer 50" series 9 plasma display. For stereo listening I use a pair of Paradigm Mini Monitor's. My surround speakers are all Transmission Line speakers.

how do it work with air channels and when using other devise like sat dish or directv and dvd not blue ray for example how is the picture thanks

thanks for asking, my satellite box(foxtel) has all the free to air channel sure it's not high def but when their is free to air show I want to watch i just turn on the normal tv and listening to the receiver through optical ouput which gives me the dolby digital. also the satellite does give me a good picture but the tv makes anything good even divx movies look like high quality .. would not swap the tv for anything..
