  • this version is much better than the original one

  • Does Chris Cornell remind anyone else of Lindsy from Angel?

  • Chris Cornell is a musical genius and warrants top praise for his career to date and all the crap he has dealt with.........dont really love american rock, but recognise a great talent.........but his roots are Irish, so that explains it!!!! lol

  • I liked Cornell better in Audioslave.

    His solo stuff is just.....mediocre.

This song is good though, I'll give him that.

  • Cool song and Daniel Craig is the best Bond of all time......!

  • hmmm the rock version sounds cool too, but if you sync the movie version & this version its even cooler! hehe

  • THIS is the song i'm lookin for. i hate the other you know my name videos

  • ..in my humble opinion, Moore made his best showing in his Live and Let Die debut but could have quit after Moonraker and should have quit after For Your Eyes Only...

  • didn't think moore was particularly good and should have quit after moonraker, but if people want you and keep throwing money at you;what can you do?

  • Oh come on, A View to a Kill is excellent!

  • since craig is the new james bond, it is no r´normal james bond movie, but a good action !! i liike it

  • I agree, no normal, GOOD James Bond, just very commercial action movie... And I don't like it...

  • god like

  • cornell can write lyrics, that's for sure.

  • I know. Probably my favorite line in the whole song: "I've seen angels fall from blinding heights/But you yourself are nothing so divine/just next in line..." wow!

  • Best Bond theme for years! Suits the thuggish new look.

  • The chase scene kicked major ass. :)

  • Craig has all the qualities of Connery's toughness, Moore's grace and Brosnan's sexiness.... Hottest Bond ever for sure!

  • Really? I found him the least elegant, but a great Bond either way :P

  • Hell no.

  • See I acually did not like Brosnan as James Bond. lol and come on people...what about Moore!?

  • i loved brosnan

  • fuck sean, Craig and Dalton are the best.

  • great song and much better than the pop crap in the last 3 brosnan films.

  • lol am i the only one that hasn't got the name of the song off james bond? xD

  • Bond...

    James Bond

  • With this song and Craig, James Bond is back on track. More powerfull as ever!

  • i like daniel craig better than the other bonds except sean connery and pierce brosnan

  • Craig makes Jame Bond look right down gritty, but in a good way.

  • This is the most fitting song for Bond ever!

  • This is the best intro song to a James Bond movie ever!

  • The vocals are different too... He sings harder

  • its the rock version because theres palm muting in the part where he starts singing and its not fake shit. its actualy a pretty obvious dif.

  • you deserve a medal for being most logic about the whole thing.. (:

  • this song is rock, but so deep..... I'm flying, ohhhhh!!!

  • O_O you're flying :D kewl

  • Daniel Craig in this is the best Bond ever....... very real..... n one of the best songs for a bond movie........

  • sean connery thats it!!! yeah hes a badass! lol

  • sean connery was a flødebolle....

  • whats the super famous bonds name? i cant remember hes really popular... fuck... he was in indiana jones and the .... aww fuck.. the one with the holy grail lol. and he was in the league of extraordinary gentlemen... from russia with love, i believe.. i never saw that one. i only played the game.

  • Have you heard of Google?

  • r u a Gay........ ?????

  • bond songs should be more like this one

    i love this song

  • What a great song. I want more songs like this.

  • This is the great type of stuff.

I gotta say it gets my head too big though, makes me want to walk up to someone and say "The name's Bond........James Bond."

  • awesome song and film:)

  • this song is epic

it would be a good song for a fire fight with like 100 dudes against one guy in slomotion...

  • Well, that is why its a Bond Theme, my good friend :)

  • like the matrix?

  • yeah, that's the word i'm lookin' for.

  • ive played a game like that once with me as the one guy, connorcanso. it was amazing

  • so, you are on ice right now? or having an orgasm...

  • lol

  • LYRICS ARE AWESOME

  • Tinha q ser brasileiro pra falar... O tal Diego, vc sabe inglês? Ok, então pense na letra... É a fórmula das coisas (sem emoções, como diz a letra...) e associe ao filme... Ok.

Guys, Diego do not know about it says... He's say "wrong..." about music. He do not know english LOL LOL LOL, or he's a patetic joker.

  • A fantastic Bond song, but now that I think about it, this wouldn't be too bad for Bourne

  • I agree :D

  • Amazing.

  • BEST. SONG. EVER.

  • agreed

  • fraco

mas se fizer um remix dessa música ia fikar legal

  • Does anyone know where to either purchase or download this version? I have the original version, and both versions rock.

I've seen some people in the comments say that this version is practically the same...I would have to disagree. This sounds like a completely different recording of Chris's voice, the instruments are mixed differently, some of the melodies are different, etc.

  • Nevermind my question, I just found that Cornell released this version as a single available on iTunes :)

  • He's married to a girl...

  • chris cornell = james bond

  • great sound! thanks for posting!

    great song!

  • First new song I've had to get out to add to my music collection in a long time. "Quantum" song really dissappointed me, though

  • Totally agree - this one rocked and the Quantum song was totally underwhelming.

  • Oh man can't agree more. Alicia keys blew, and Jack White doesn't have the raw energy to carry a Bond tune. Either way, terrible.

    Chris Cornell is a legend.

  • "Jack White doesn't have the raw energy to carry a Bond tune"

Bullshit. Jack White obviously didn't really get to do what he wanted with that song. It was half Alicia Keys, and their voices and sounds don't mesh. I personally like the song excluding the chorus (which sounds like donkey balls), but Jack White has a shit ton of energy dude.

  • Hmm, I listened to some Jack White stuff that showcases his voice better. I guess he has the energy, just sings off key 90% of the time...

He's no Chris Cornell, but I can definitely agree that White ALONE without Alicia would have been significantly better. Alicia is the "key" reason that song fails.

  • I agree wit"Sjpianodude" this realy is an awsome song!!!!!i love chris cornell aswell!!!!!and any of doz rap fans out there go cry in a corner, cuz rock was always the king!

  • Hellz Yeah!

  • amen for that "bro" :P

  • Truly, this is a really cool song...great energy, sound, lyrics...up there with the best of 'em!!

  • This is a great song for a great movie. Cornell has an amazing voice.Third only to "Live and Let Die" and "A View To A Kill".

  • I'm a huge McCartney fan, but as a rock song and a bond theme, this beats both "Live and Let Die" AND "A View to a Kill."

  • Great song! and great music video

  • it's my first time hearing this song

    it's a super sexy song!!!!!

  • Great song, great movie. nuff said.

  • O negão tomo um puta pé no peito! Caralho!!!

  • This song fits the new Bond so well. Unlike the jazzy "Another Way to Die", just go back to something like this in 2010.

  • but this movie is more "high energy" when the new one is more about james trying to find who he is and all that so a jazzy/ malodic style is more sutibal ... sorry for the bad spelling

  • one word... HOT hahaha

  • second best bond song behind Goldfinger, the film was great too

  • Totally agreed. In fact, many crappy Bond films left great songs behind. Thunderball has a pretty good song sung by Tom Jones. The World is not Enough's one was good too, as were You Only Live Twice, The Living Daylights and From Russia with Love (this one seems to be sung by Sinatra, although it's not him).

    Goldeneye's is also very good.

  • Ahem, Live and Let Die, anyone?

  • God, I forgot this one!

  • YES!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Great video,great song

  • the most anoying thing at video clips for movies is that the lead singer always has to "play" in the movie.... in a realy bad rip-off of the movie, (another example: Godsmack - I stand Alone) but man this song is realy great just like the movie!

  • Not me.

  • i love this song, and for some strange reason i think it's the best bond theme song in my opinion

  • it is...lol

  • Yeah definately one or the best Bond song ever

  • Greatest Bond song or greatest Bond song?

  • Greatest Bond song

  • Greatest Bond Song

  • awesome movie

    awesome song

  • hows that???

  • Given the crap CC has been doing lately, this may in fact be Cornell's last good song.

  • So wish i c'ld sing like this!

  • So what....The song is great...dont take credit for art

  • i didn't know tom played. He should have gotten credit like you said.

  • Tom Morello doesn't play guitar in this song.

  • the only difference in this version is that his voice is sort of lazy and he sings louder

  • rock version doesn't exist!

  • how does he do that scream at the end? YOU NO MY NAAAAME! brilliant!!!

  • awsum song :) love chris cornell

  • Do you guys know the song "Go All the Way" by the Raspberries? Both songs kick ass, but there is just something that seems very similar between these two songs.

  • FTWLMAO=DLOL

  • i LOVE this movies, and song ;)

  • i think the song is awesome but what would make this vid even cooler is putiting the proper title sequence

  • i want to eat i am hungry :D but i find this song cool i love peru you can't forget it oh right

  • why the fuck

  • rock veersion wtf this is the normal one but still good how many of you have seen quantom of solace

  • not me...yet. Was it good?

    compared to first...

  • ya it was friggen awesome

  • cool I'm totally gona see it!!!!!!

  • na this is the rock version, the other version has the orchestral instruments alot louder and prominent

  • rock versison LOL i'm guessing the original was ment to be pop!

  • Hehe, reggae version with steel drums.

  • YOU,,, know me name, mon

  • Lol. If ya come inside me breda, tings will not be irie.

  • have to agree with ruskibog935, compared with Paul McCartney, Axel rose does sound like a walrus gargling on plaster!

But apart from that...this is an awesome song, in my personal opinion one of the best revolutionary bond songs!

  • great song

  • Geiler Song !!!

    Echt klasse !

  • If you could actually confuse the voice of Paul McCartney, arguably the greatest vocalist in the history of rock music, with the voice of Axl Rose, a man who sounds like he gargles with plaster, then you are deaf. Even ignoring the timeline, the theme to "Live and Let Die" was clearly the (original) Wings version, not the GNR.

For the record, I love GNR, but come on.

  • No, YOU are a dickhead. What this guy is saying is exactly right.

  • Aight, he is a dickhead because he is telling the truth. o_O

  • Live And Let Die wasn't sung by Guns n Roses, the theme song was done by Paul McCartney and the Wings... The cover by Guns n Roses was made in 1991, the bond movie however was made in 1973

  • best bond theme song ever

  • its got alot more umph righ on !!!!!!!!!!

  • Sweet song Chris Cornell is awesome

  • this is certainly the best version. it rocks

  • I disagree. The film version suits Bond's Classy action packed style relating back to the original. The rock one is too modern loud, and disruptive.

  • no,

  • OMFG everyone already knows this is a bit different if you dont like it shutup, stop commenting and go find the other version!!

This song is awesome, thx for the upload, audioslavelatino!!1

  • It´s much better than the other version!!!

    I Love this Song!

  • Maybe it just sounds different through a cinema sound system, but the orchestral elements were a lot clearer when I saw the movie.

Not complaining though - it still sounds awesome like this. Chris Cornell is one of the best rock singers of the last 10-15 years.

  • this version is slightly different from the movie version. this one is more rock

  • I CANNOT stand this version of the song. The one from the Film is way better. The trumpets, and quickness make it. This version just doesn't have that "cool" flow to it.

  • I like them both, but the film's version is sort of edging out ahead of this one, just because of the more orchestral feel.

But they're both awesome. The film's version was more of a "general movie" theme, and this one's more of a "character theme", in that the film version suited the feel of the movie more, and this suits Bond more.

  • I've seen diamonds cut through harder men

    vs.

i've seen this diamond cut through harder men.

proof its different recording/mix vs. the video that is on the DVD (assuming you're tone deaf and can't hear the instrumental differences)

  • This IS a different version. Just compare to the one uploaded by Wid3Awak3, you can clearly hear brass chords (eg around 40 secs). The «rock» version was commercialised with the soundtrack, the other one is used with the video and the movie intro. Anyone you has hearing or anything should know this, dude!

  • fuck you man

  • yeah this isnt the rock version

you can make out all the different production noises like trumpets if you listen

  • The rock version had the trumpets, but they focus more on the guitar, drums, and bass. This is the rock version if I'm not mistaken.

  • idiots for thinking this is a different version its just better quality ive been listning to my copy of the track for ages years ever sinse it came out and its just a good copy thats all higher bit rate versions of the song are better u will hear more things u wouldnt in a lower one simple anyone who has itunes or anything should know this

  • has anyone ever considered making a dark knight music vid with this song? i would but i don't have the right software

  • This song would be perfect for the dark knight.

  • exactly.

  • Don't think so... this one is kinda sofisticated and classy while kicking ass, no one pulls that off like Bond, not even Batman.

  • I LOVE this song, the rock version is way better.

  • wayyy bestter then verison used in movie

  • definately

  • how is this the rock version?

  • It's the same song, just faster paced in the way it's performed. ;)

  • theres more guitar, and its not faster lol

  • I heard the song before I knew about the movie. (yeah I live in a cave) Anyways I told my friend it would make such a great song for a spy movie. Then I saw the video and everyone's comments about James Bond! My point was he did a great job of portraying the right sound.

  • I just can't see the difference between the "normal" version and the rock version ... weird

  • i think there is a classical version without cornell...jus the brass band etc...and this is the normal version jus called the "rock" version

  • The other one is more acoustic without electric guitars and mainly with an orchestra type thingy in the background.
