  • No problems with her accent (lol, my Dutch accent probably is pretty bad as well), but I was just wondering if I would need seem allowance for the waistband too?

  • I think this was the first TB video I ever watched...4 years ago! :)

  • The website doesn't exist :/

  • Hi, could you also do a video of how to do alterations /decrease the size of an already made skirt. Perhaps from a size 12 - 10. I am new to sewing and I have just purchased a Singer 1507. If you would like a video of the type of skirts, please let me know. They are more like pencil skirts and styles are from Next clothe retailer in the UK. Please help. Or if there's one already made, please forward info to me. I have already seen pants to skirts. Thanking you in advance.

  • I belive that my accent is funny too so I shouldn't say anything about her accent.

but I don't think I'll wear a skirt like that xD

  • so?

  • For all of those that are unsure of her accent, she is from Argentina, it says so in her bio in the website of her shop.

  • She said chau, not ciao.

  • dont be an idiot.. the clothing features work that as already been printed on the item. its not like theyre advertising it as their own or even calling the images their own...

  • Actually, I was refering to the "artists's" website. I fyou check it out, they sell t-shirts that feature copyrighted images and sell them as their own. (i.e., one copies the "The Dog" line. Not parodies, not alters- copies.)

  • omg i have that book too haha

  • she's adorable.

    awesome dreads!

  • i have that book!

  • What awesome spirit! I really enjoyed this video.

  • "together..."

  • aww she was nervous.

  • She is creative but it is hard to understand her and she did not even put the skirt on.

  • i cant understand her

  • love her accent but her hair is...(im not gonna be rude)interesting

  • she said she took the insperation from that book...she means that she basically copied it...

  • mongostylin i dont think she copied,,everybody even famous designer take inspiration from others, magazines,tv, ect....

its all about make it your own so that it wont look like you copied,,:)

  • You have a wonderful spirit girl and thanks for the video, I am going to make my grand daughters one from their old shirts and they are learning to sew too so this will be something they can do too. TY

  • she has such a cute accent.

  • If you use the widest zig-zag stitch for the waistband the stitches won't snap...

  • i dont mean to be harsh but i dont understand!! :( helP!!

  • She has an awesome accent! She sound like she's very attached to her work, her designs are amazing!

  • First of all great vid, Threadbangers...this comment doesnt go exactly to you guys though...

WHY THE HELL ARE ALL OF YOU VIEWERS THUMBING DOWN THE COMMENTS IN SPANISH.

Screw you. You're just being ignorant and probably racist and thumbing it down because you cant understand it, and that makes you feel stupid.

  • Did you see Halloweeny Wednesdays?

  • Damn I wish people were this nice nice when I used to live in S.F..... Oh well.

  • es argentina la chica?? is that an argentinian girl??

  • I'd say so. She has a Spanish accent, and said chau at the end.

  • hey!! thanx for the reply,, merry xmas!!^_*

  • chau is french for hot not spanish

  • Er...not exactly. You're thinking of "chaud".

The woman said ciao, meaning bye.

  • Actually, the proper spelling for "ciao" in French is "tchao". Although, you're correct if you meant "ciao" in Italian. :]

  • Ciao is spanish.

  • actually in spanish we write it chao,

    ciao would be italian spelling

  • Sorry, but Ciao is Italian, to say Hello or bye.

  • Sorry, but my Colombian friend says they say Ciao in Colombia to mean Hello or Goodbye.

  • In México we also use that word, but that doesn't mean that is a "new mexican or spanish word", it's still a italian word, sorry.

  • si! soy argentina! de santa fe, vos tambien?

Saludos y felicitacion esta genial la idea, lastima que no la puedo poner en practica XD.

  • You should make a video on how to make a tutu, that would be really cool!

  • it does have attachment after i pay for it, then im attached :D

  • I have already stated my newfound love for Threadbanger and this T-shirt skirt video just reinforces my love!

I posted a video response of the T-shirt quilt that I made using a 30 year T-shirt collection - I LOVE recycling and making something new and useful out of a box full of almost-out-the-door shirts!

  • your quilt is amazing! wonderful! and the whole concept just blow my mind! thanks for sharing...

  • T-skirts?? lovely! I have loads of unused Ts in my wardrobe and thank you Threadbanger for featuring Vanina in this vid! Her idea simply wants me to make my own t-skirt!! XD Love your show!

  • question: did she make a different skirt for the show that was too small, so that we didnt know her pants size?

  • Ok, how do you make a t-shirt, pretty simple, but I can never get the sizes right, please help.

  • i tried making this skirt from the book Generation T before.

This is an excellent explanation, because the book is sometimes hard to follow. Thanks so much for this!

  • rob! corinne! I NEED YOUR HELP!

you see, spinning yarn is pretty cheap and easy if you use silk hankies and a drop spindle... for most people. could you somehow learn how to spin yarn at the speed of light and give a tute?

btw, those are kick arse wings, corinne.

  • spanish, or italian, from the ciao at the end...

  • anyway, what i wanted to say was that the past few episodes havn't been very gender neutral...

  • I feel ya adrien, working on getting some more male/ gender neutral interviews and tuts up. Check out Fashion Enemy with Andrew Hanson on Mondays. Hes got some pretty rad gender neutral stuff.

  • youtube is being gay!!!! i can't comment your videos!!

  • oh, there we go...sorry

  • Cute video and ideas. Love the accents, but who can understand what is being said?? =)

  • She said three panels right? But it looks like she only cut out two panels from one shirt...

  • three panels.

you can actually have as many panels as you want. just take your waist measurement and divide it by the number of panels you want. so if you want 6 panels divide your waist measurement by 6. in this case she did three. make sure to and an inch to each panel for seam allowance.

    xoxo

    corinne

  • she should never take em off... corinne looks amazing :p

  • My one dissapointment: I never got to see anyone modelling the skirt! How should I know to make it if I don't know how it'll sit on me? But otherwise, I love it!

  • there are no limits to design and free style

... good stuff keep it up

  • she sounds russian...

  • It sounds Hispanic...

  • can't wait for the mummy costume!
