im wondering how to recover my deleted songs i dont have the file nor is it on my iPod, Is There Any Way I Could Like Restore My iPod To Where It Also Restores My Old Songs?
I don't think it would work with my iPod touch 4g. But I backup my iTunes library to my external hard drive so that I don't have to worry about this in the first place.

Not really, but try to search on google. I remeber I got a program that helped me, but it could only restore 20 tracks and after you would have to pay for that program, so I didn't. I just tried to restore as much as I remember.

Thanks so much for this very simple method of retrieving my library from my ipod! The only thing I did differently at the end was to disconnect my ipod from my computer before adding the copied ipod control file to the library. Now everything is still on the ipod and back in the library! For anyone having a problem with none of the files being located (exclamation points next to songs) to play their songs, they could delete the library and use your technique after that. Thanks for the tutorial, but I have one problem. I removed iTunes from my computer so that my iPod wouldn't sync, but I still get the message on my iPod is syncing. I pulled the cord out of it before it did. When this happens is it actually syncing, or are my songs safe?

My library was lost, and itunes only showed my music and videos greyed out, and i could'nt click on nothing. My files were still on my ipod and i thought id have to some how delete everything off my ipod and start over again.
Im so happy i got my itunes back.....DUDE I FUCKING LOVE YOU = )

this works for a nano, but i cant get it to work for my iTouch. when i go to My Computer, it says its an Apple iPod camera. do u know how to do it for iTouches or do u know a reliable website or something?? please help

I have a problem, i got up to the bit in " my computer" it found " removable disk (F:) , so i clicked on it, and it said "please insert a disk into removable disk (F:)"

@tomharman2000 you could try inserting your ipod into a different usb port or if that does not work you can put it in "disk mode" and try again

@smokscren I did this and it worked however some songs came out like "OYKU" and "YXIL" that was the song titles what do I do? and also I can't edit the info of any of my songs after doing this

i disconnected my ipod without ejecting it today and it says i have no music or video....its blank, however it still says i have 40GB left of memory....when i connect it back to the computer it picks it up but have no access to my music. it says i have to restore it back to normal. my main question is why does it still display my left over memory. is there still a way on how i can get all my music back into it??....plz help.. thanks!!

I accidently exported my music off my uncles iPod and i had just downloaded iTunes , Im not using the user that he got the music from and i want to see if i can fix it really soon, without causing him the haslle becausehe's got over 2000 songs . if ANYONE knows how to help me or knows how to could you please reply or message me thankyou:).

i have an iphone and when i go to my computer, select my iphone all it sais is internal storage and then after i click that all there is is pics from my phone, there is no ipod control option or anything music, and i really need to fix this because instead of syncing my phone ive been bookmarking music videos on youtube and listening to those, lol please help?
