i got the same laptop and i love it but wont the tape mess up the cover and if you want to take it off wont it leave glue behind

Does the tape come off easily? And does it leave a residue?

Yeah when i saw the leopard and zebra print duct tape...i was like "O-M-freakin-G !" lol i love it ! my laptop looks so jazzy now ! lol you should definitely try it ! They have a few other printed duct tapes as well...you can find them at Michael's, Jo-Anne Craft and Fabrics and I believe some Walmart's have them.
