Runway 8/26 if fairly long and for sure can handle a 747 or A380, however the gates probably can't support anything more than 767. We had an AA 767 land here due to an emergency and we could handle it..
Of course it can, and does all the time. When I fly into ABQ I park my plane at Cutter Aviation and the FAA has a 747 parked on the ramp there (I think they use it for research). ABQ is a very large airport. It serves airlines, GA, and the military base. A lot of guys like to fly into Double Eagle instead but I find that the cheaper rental cars at ABQ makes up for the higher overnight fee. The gas is high but I'll usually stop in Utah for fuel so I don't need much at ABQ. I think I paid $8/gal.
I think you guys think that KABQ is a little airport. Its not. Runway 8/26 is almost 14,000 feet long. Long enough for a 767, long enough for a 747, long enough for the space shuttle. Most space shuttle emergency alternate fields are only around 11,000 feet.
@iloveunitedairliness Albuquerque has very long runways, considering that we share with a military base. So yes, we could land an Airbus A380, 747 you name it.

@iloveunitedairliness KABQ runway 26-8 is one of the longest in the country. It can handle anything you throw at it, C-17, 747, A380, the works.
