lol woww i dont blame the traffic i blame the firefighters or the dispatcher for giving them the most horrible heavy traffic routes like come on they have up to date navigation systems that shows heavy up ahead traffic i wouldnt have even bothered going from there at all! like people are so arrogant too when we ask them to hurry and move like it it were for them they would have want us to have courtesy for them or their emergency situation they have to act as all situation matters!

When traffic is jammed, which happens everywhere, cars don't have much room to pull over, they can try their best, but there isn't much you can do. The responsibility relies mostly on the truck driver, who is suppose to find a route with as little traffic as possible... Now mind you traffic could've been more co-operative, but you try pulling out of the way of a ladder, when you have 2 feet ahead of you, and about 4 feet on each side of you.. Not an easy task

I am sorry but that is not how it works. Taking picture is not going to get me a ticket because ticket is issued to the driver and not car the car. So unless a police officer seems me blocking emergency vehicle, nothing can be done to me. A lot of people would love not to park in the Time Square lots or the side streets. My dad would park on 9th or 10th Avenue to avoid the midnight rush hour during the daytime and nightime because dealing with the traffic flow on Broadway is always a nightmare between 45th and 42nd.

1. different levels of alarms are used for different fire situations so it could have been the only engine called to the scene.

2. As a person in traffic you have to assume that he is going to a fire since not many people know that firemen are called to EMS runs and drills.
