Outside the White House

i was there in oct. 2008 and went up to the black fence but i took a while to get their because the president motercay had to go in but still cool

I was there in Feb 2008. I walked right up to the black fence. They probably had enhanced security because of a visting dignitary or other VIP. This isn't an issue of Bush, Democrat or Republican its simply security. They have their reasons for closing off the street.

Was just there a couple of days ago, and you could walk right up to the black fence on both sides of the White House. Hell, I even stuck my hand with the camera through the fence to get an unobstructed photo.

Yeah, I went up to the fence two years ago, and my cousin went up to the fence just this year in March. I picked grass when i went.
