I'm an American and I honestly wish we had an NDP, or at least an equivalent of the NDP. But our elite-favoring, disgustinly biased system won't allow a new party to develop, and it'll just help the Republicans.
ummm i am a federal NDP supporter but suggesting that stephen harper is like hitler i think is a little too drastic! And I hate Stephen Harper! I am sad to see that ppl from NDP have sunk this low. remember: if you wanna beat them, you don't join them. One main reason I am NDP is because I agree with their moral values. This is not NDP moral values.
@mikefastener Mikey, it's not 75% against the NDP. It's 65% against the NDP, although this is inaccurate because part of that percentage comes from the left-wing vote, so it's really 54%. I'll admit that I pulled a number out of my hat, but at least I have the guts to admit I was wrong and come up with a more accurate figure. You do the math yourself and you'll see that I'm right.
@gricer1326 grocer.....the winger (left winger of course) supporters get sillier and sillier!
When they want to conduct a calculation like yours, they throw in all lie-beral support and make some moral claim about how many voted against the right wing. When they are trying to conduct some differentiation, they then claim (as do the lie-berals) that the lie-beral party is central on the political spectrum. (I am confident you made this claim about the central lie-berals some time ago!)
@mikefastener No, the liberals are definitely left, although not to the extent that the NDP are. This has nothing to do with the legitimacy of the government itself but rather the legitimacy of your statements, while you claim the current government has "overwhelming support" I can easily disprove that by pointing out that the CONs won their majority by a mere four percentage points.
@gricer1326 Bottom line--Mr. Harper won in our political system. (I note that Jack Laydown is not giving up any of his MP's although very few of them won over 50% in any of their ridings!!!)
Amazing how throwing the same logic back to you about your party immediately stops the argument?
I would say my reputation of debating excellence is still there!
@mikefastener Six to eight years worth of assfuck, eh? No point in expecting anything better - doesn't sound very optimistic eh mikey! If we do complain, it's about how irresponsible the previous government was and what we now have to do to fix the resulting problem.
@mikefastener How about YOU get over the fact that I disagree with you. If you want to be living in Oceania from 1984 i guess life will get better for you. Me, I don't particularly enjoy oppression, or abuse of democracy, censorship of truth, lies, deceit, multi-billion dollar deficits, etc. I highly doubt Ontarians will elect a CONservative premier after all the harm Mikey boy Harris did us.
@mikefastener How about the giant fucking CONservative corruption mess that is growing in size as we speak? Think about it - How would YOU like a $multiple-hundreds-of-billions deficit? How would you like the Canadian economy to collapse because of deregulated banks? How would you like the gun crime rate to be jacked through the roof because the registry was scrapped?
@mikefastener You act like he won by a landslide or something. Get over yourself. He won a majority by five percentage points (5% = 5/100, in case you didn't know). Hardly a landslide.
@mikefastener I don't see what that post has to do with anything. I was under the impression that we were having a political discussion (not really, since i'm the only one here with a point), not having a childish diss-off.
@mikefastener If you disagree with me about Harper and respond with name-calling and insults but don't actually rebut my points, then you'll have to understand that I and all those reading these comments will take that as a concession on your part, and that you are resorting to such immaturity because you know I'm right and you just won't admit it to yourself.
@mikefastener So if your response is name-calling and insults rather that a direct counter-argument to each of my points, then we'll just assume it's because you have no counter-argument.
@gricer1326 You know grocer....I am sorry; but, I am going to drop this line of postings!
Mr. Ford has won. Mr. Harper has won. And, I have little doubt that the province will go with Mr. Hudak in November. The country/province/city is going Conservative.
You say things that are strange and don't seem to come from someone that is "all there".
Take care of yourself. (Note: If you want to say you have, "won" in this debate...that is okay with me.)
@mikefastener You know what they say: fools and fanatics are always so sure of themselves.
Let me tell you about a little child named Mikey (not you). Mikey used to be the premier of Ontario, but he wasted billions of dollars, cancelled critical public infrastructure projects, fired doctors, teachers and other public servants, generally making a mess of things. The one day he resigned because the people hated his guts and wanted him OUT. His successor was handily defeated by the Liberals.
@mikefastener Harper reminds me a bit of G.W. Bush, except with a higher IQ. He won so I suppose you're glad. Hopefully you(Canada) won't end up like the U.S.
@mikefastener How would you like it to be extremely hard for civil services to fulfill their purposes due to the census being scrapped? How would you like an extreme deterioration in the quality of services due to mass privatization? How about the idiot police chief of Toronto whining about not being in absolute control, getting his way and then being praised for it by those who hold public office (including Mr. Harper)!?. This is what the CONs have to offer.
@mikefastener "Facts". Oh sure, you have "facts". So-called "facts". Well, what are the rest of us gonna do then? I guess our facts (real facts that can be looked up for oneself) must not be facts, but only the right-wing propaganda that has henceforth been dubbed "facts" are now the only "facts"! You and your "facts" are hilarious.
@mikefastener I happen to know that Stephen Harper, whenever he is asked a tough question, runs away and hides. I also happen to know that he refused to release documents on alleged war crimes even though it was mandated by a judge, proroguing parliament shortly after, and prorogued again less than a year later to hide from a perfectly legit and legal vote which would have thrown him out of office.
So why DO right-wingers always want to hide things?
@gricer1326 Are you talking about left-winger politicians like Massage Parlour Jack? How about 5 times proroguing Chretien? How about Shawiningate Chretien? How about publicly subsidized housing Jack? How about re-flagging the CSL ships to avoid Cdn taxes Martin? How about going to a private clinic Jack?
My goodness--the shame of the left-wingers cannot be even contained in one posting!
@mikefastener It all depends on whether parliament was prorogued for a good reason or not. For instance in Harper's case, both times he prorogued was because he was a selfish coward clinging desperately to political power. A word about how subsidized housing works - the housing association sets aside specific units for rent at market rates, the rent from which subsidizes units occupied by the less fortunate.
@mikefastener If you think you can actually use that argument against the liberals in this election, you're delusional and you're a hypocrite. The sponsorship scandal is ancient history by now, and criticizing the liberals for doing something that you are doing now and ignoring your own actions is hypocrisy at its purest.
@mikefastener Please learn how subsidized housing works. The housing association has units set aside for higher-income families, who pay enough rent to subsidize the costs of the less fortunate occupants of the project. Jack and Olivia had been planning to move for years previously. Which means your argument is meaningless.
@gricer1326 Oh well, Jack and Olivia getting to the head of the line, living in subsidized housing while the homeless were dying on the streets of Toronto, moving out immediately after their little scheme was discovered by the media.
@mikefastener Please learn how subsidized housing works. The housing association has units set aside for higher-income families, who pay enough rent to subsidize the costs of the less fortunate occupants of the project. Jack and Olivia had been planning to move for years previously. Which means your argument is meaningless.
@mikefastener I don't base my opinion of a political party on the reputation of a past leader. When Stevie is angrily thrown out of office (which he will be) and forced to leave politics forever, the CONservatives will be a different party. He won't affect my opinion of the CONs themselves even though I disagree with their philosophies.
That accusation has been proven to be false. 70% of the units in the housing co-op were being paid for at market prices. A y March, 1990 they voluntarily began paying additional funds to offset their portion of the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation subsidy to the co-op—the only members of the co-op who did so. The guy who originally came up with the lie later admitted it was total BS after the co-op got on his case for it, and the couple were later cleared of any wrongdoing.
@mikefastener Cleared of wrongdoing for something that happened nearly 20 years ago Mikey! If you think you can actually use this to hurt the NDP you either don't know what you're talking about and are too lazy to check the facts, allowing your disagreement with the NDP's platform to influence your opinion of Layton's personal life or you're a dishonourable SOB from the lies and propaganda school of politics.
@gricer1326 Are you comparing naked Jack (not a pretty sight BTW) with Mr. Harper's steady leadership? How many underage women did Jack Laydown laydown for?
The leader of the Nude Democratic Party....something to be proud of?
@mikefastener Steady leadership eh? Of course, lies, deceit and contempt are all hallmarks of steady leadership. How about attempting to steal a ballot box? How about removing fundamental rights and freedoms so Harper and his buddies could lounge by the famous "fake lake" and watch soccer. Oh, and did I mention Harper's binge spending, the result of which is a $56 billion and rising deficit? I was under the impression that you right-wingers wanted to "stop the gravy train!"
@mikefastener Most Canadians are far more concerned with issues like the ones i've highlighted rather that an event in the personal life of the leader of a political party 15 years ago THAT NEVER HAPPENED.
@mikefastener Canadians WILL decide what they are concerned about, and they have decided that Stephen Harper has lost the right to govern this country. It's funny how you're basing your argument on an event that never happened.
Sixteen years ago, my husband went for a massage at a massage clinic that is registered with the City of Toronto. He exercises regularly; he was and remains in great shape; and he needed a massage. I knew about this appointment, as I always do. No one was more surprised than my husband when the police informed him of allegations of potential wrong doing at this establishment. He told me about the incident after it happened.
@gricer1326 Here is what Olivia was really saying:
I know I'll never get another job like I have with big money like this MP position--I'm not qualified for much else. I'll say anything about Jack to keep my job
@mikefastener Any insinuation of wrongdoing on the part of my husband is completely and utterly false, which is why after 16 years and 8 election campaigns that my husband has campaigned in, this has never been an issue. In the last hours of this election, this is nothing more than a smear campaign in an attempt to question my husband's character. This is another reason why politics in this country need to change and on Monday, Canadians will have their chance to do just that.
@gricer1326 I don't know about everyone else but this Jack fooling around in a bawdy house makes me (and many of my friends) physically sick!!! Do you know there were underage women there as Jack was naked!!
I can not longer vote NDP but must place my vote with an individual with strong family values and ethics---Mr. Harper you now have my vote! (Sorry if any of us ever doubted you.)
Mr. Harper, let us all work to a better Canada with you!
@mikefastener I don't know about you but Stephen Harper's brutal assault and arrest of 1100 people, the overwhelming majority being innocent bystanders, none of them anarchists, attempting to steal a ballot box, proroguing parliament for no reason other than to save his own ass, repeatedly LYING to an entire country, ignoring Omar Khadr and going on a massive spending binge* makes most of Canada physically sick, not something that never happened 15 years ago.
@gricer1326 Actually left-winger Dalton McLier and Miller-boy were responsible for your mentioned assaults and arrests. Left-winger Chretien yes did indeed prorogued parliament 5 times--thanks for asking. I'm glad you keep mentioning 15 years ago (showing you believe there is an expiry date on ethics and morality); otherwise, why would you keep mentioning the 15 years ago?
@mikefastener Actually Stevie was responsible for the public works "protection" act, which created the whole police state fiasco. If the conference was held at Downsview AFB, for instance, what happened would not have happened. Everyone knows that you cannot hold a summit in the core of Canada's largest city, erect fortifications and expect everyone to stay far away and quiet. It simply will not happen
@gricer1326 So, you are apologizing about accusing Mr. Harper about the arrests and now attributing them, rightly, to left-wingers, Dalton McLier and Miller-boy?
@mikefastener Well, considering the fact that any major summit in the core of a major city will fail miserably, it's pretty easy to see who's at fault here. Stevie says "i want to host the G20 summit in the core of Canada's largest city". Dalton and David, both horrified at the prospect, say "Oh no, that will never work! Chaos will ensue! We don't want it at the convention centre, host it at Downsview AFB or another similar location".
@mikefastener Stevie says "we'll I don't care because i'm selfish and inconsiderate and i will force you to hold the G20 at the convention centre whether you want it or not." Which is what happened. Even the most incompetent individuals know that a G20 cannot possibly be held in the core of a major city without major problems, INCLUDING Harper. Why he would do it anyway is beyond me, but there is not doubt in the minds of Canadians that HE is responsible for the events of G20 weekend.
@gricer1326 Amazing that cities around the world can hold these conferences without incident. While Toronto with left-wing McLiar and socialist Miller-boy in charge can't do a competent job.
@mikefastener I know, right? It's amazing that the leader of Canada, arguably one of the most peaceable countries in the world, would give an order to assault and arrest peaceful protesters while doing nothing when action was most needed! VERY interesting!
@mikefastener Alternatively you could quote that sentence in that entirety and clearly see I was referring to Stealin' Harper. You're right, Mr. Fascist Crime minister Stealin' Harper has a LOT to be ashamed of.
@mikefastener Toronto gravy train: nonexistent. CONservative gravy train: rampant.
Let me think....billions for mega-prisons we don't need, billions for fighter jets we don't need that don't work, billions for G20 police state, hundreds of millions for unneeded and useless G8 upgrades in Muskoka (which cost way more than they should have), plus the BIGGEST DEFICIT IN CANADIAN HISTORY, WHICH CAN ONLY BE CREATED BY A SPENDING BINGE. $56 billion and counting, to be precise.
@gricer1326 Screaming by left-wingers like Iffy, Jack Laydown and that separatist guy forced Mr. Harper to make compromises to avoid an election Canadians did not want.
Now your turn....best performance in the G8 by Canada under Mr. Harper.
@mikefastener Does that rule out the fact that Stealin' Harper turned a $12 billion surplus (which you can thank the liberals for) into a $56 billion deficit? Also, the reason we are the "best in the G8" is because our banks are regulated.....which you can thank the liberals for.
@mikefastener Mr. Harper, kindly fuck off so we can all work toward a better, freer Canada. No, I'm not saying it with an ounce more of courtesy, because frankly, Steve, you don't deserve it.
@mikefastener A freer Canada where if you have an inkling to express your opinion, you are brutally assaulted. A freer Canada where the government creeps people on facebook to find out if they have been the slightest bit involved in a different party than the CONs. A freer Canada where democracy is swept under the bus in favour of greed. That's what you get with a CONservative government, folks.
@gricer1326 Canadian are enjoying so much more freedom under Mr. Harper--tax freedom, rights freedoms and happiness that was not there under the left-wing lie-beral government.
How much freedom did those underage girls have in Jack's favourite bawdy house?
@mikefastener Apparently we don't have the right to a responsible, accountable government, or democracy for that matter. If you think Stealin' Harper has given us more rights and freedoms, just take a look at the public works "protection" act.
@gricer1326 I look at the happiness of Cdn's, freed from left-wing corruption (the lie-beral corruption scandal) and happy about Mr. Harper's handling of the economy.
@mikefastener Canadians are VERY displeased with Mr. Harper, his approval rating and poll numbers reflect this perfectly. I see a country full of angry citizens who are sick and tired of Stealin' Harper stealin' their rights, money, and democracy. Who could POSSIBLY argue?
@mikefastener Mikey, you are too stupid to keep up an argument with. But I will answer your question anyway.
Left-wingers always adhere to the highest standards of morality and ethics. The massage parlour incident (which never happened) took place 15 years ago and has nothing to do with politics. Therefore it is irrelevant to the election. Understood?
@gricer1326 I am glad you have finally come clean grocer.
So you keep mentioning 15 years as the expiry date for left-wingers on ethics, morality and decency? (Otherwise, why even mention how long ago it was?)
I'm dropping this stream. You are so far out there in strangeness, that I believe you need professional help.
Think of the underage women and Jack nakedness who shown. How sickening!!!
Please no more responses, I find your views repulsive!
@mikefastener If it happened yesterday, it might have a sliver of a chance of being relevant, but since it allegedly happened 15 years ago, it's completely irrelevant to anything. READ MY FUCKING POSTS FOR ONCE.
@mikefastener Anyway, congrats to the CONs, and a warning to Canadians, you're getting EXACTLY what you voted for, and if you think it's all wine and roses, you're WRONG.
@mikefastener " grocer---you have run away after Canadians overwhelmingly voted for Mr. Harper to give him a majority."
Canadians did not overwhelmingly vote for the Conservatives. Only ~40% of votes were to them. The other 60% were towards non-conservative members of parliament, namely the Liberals and New Democrats. Just know that, if votes were layered, the Liberals would vote for the New Democrats on the second polling. So please, quit your pathetic arrogance and slandering.
@unifieddynasty I (and everyone else) are laughing are you! The left-winger boys have been shown the door!
Let us make it simple for you. NDP (Nude Democratic Party) as per Jack Laydown + Lie-berals = less than Mr. Harper's MAJORITY!!! Love it than some sense has come into Canadian politics and that Canadians are roaring their approval.
@mikefastener Its bullshit that the conservatives got a majority though, first past the post is so undemocratic. Harper only had 40% of the popular vote. So if it were true democracy he would not have a majority
@roryfitzpatric No PM since Mulroney has received 50% of the popular vote so your argument is pointless. (Chretien only received 40% btw). I am hearing so many Canadians cheering Mr. Harper and roaring his name in excitement and happiness for his incredible success.
"He does recall being advised by the police at the time that he did nothing wrong, but that the location was questionable, and to be stayed away from. Mr. Layton gave the officer his name and address, and nothing further happened".
-Brian Iler
I did find the CTV and CBC articles, but both reference a Sun article and contain enough contrary information to prove the "naked jack" allegations false. If the police though he was doing anything wrong they would have done him in.
I would like to know with all the Jack promises how would he pay for everything, or would he just do a obama. Print money and borrow a 100 billion. O I know the people that work will pay for the ones that don't . The money in your pocket isn't your money it's Jacks money. He knows how to spend your money better than you do. He will give to homeless, welfare, the needle programs, unemployement. You know the obama idea. And if you bankrupt the country O well.
@gsdyork I know that it was a school project, I have READ the info. The problem is I see comments there saying NDP is bad because of that vid. Most people DONT realise it. If you really want the NDP to have votes, you should remove this vid because it doesn't help.
you know what screw ndp and liberal bringing in billions of dollars a year for this country by legalizing and taxing pot. and saving the environment through using hemp for wood and paper saving deforestation and using it for fuel saving us from losing our natural resources. ill vote for harper to give out cooperate tax cuts and spend millions of tax dollars on the unwinnable drug war aggainst cannabis, instead of putting it to better cause. yeah right out with the conservatives!!!!
the ndp will fuck up the counrty like bob rae...im hoping liberals or conserv..blow the ndp away

What has Harper done for me?
1. Given me a TFSA
2. Loer taxes including the GST cut
3. Expanded on the RESP program so my kids can go to university.
4. Universal Child Care Benefit to help with my day care costs.
The list goes on. Needless to say these all cost the taxpayer very little. All Jack's plans have huge price tags that I will have to pay for.
NO THANKS JACK

@mikefastener Yes, so why are you acting like this one was?
gricer1326 10 months ago
@mikefastener If you disagree with me about Harper and respond with name-calling and insults but don't actually rebut my points, then you'll have to understand that I and all those reading these comments will take that as a concession on your part, and that you are resorting to such immaturity because you know I'm right and you just won't admit it to yourself.
gricer1326 10 months ago
@gricer1326 Are you now sober?

Best wishes.

His successor was handily defeated by the Liberals.
gricer1326 10 months ago
@mikefastener Harper reminds me a bit of G.W. Bush, except with a higher IQ. He won so I suppose you're glad. Hopefully you(Canada) won't end up like the U.S.

@gricer1326 This site wants the truth told--just like Sun News.
(Left-wingers hate that! Why do they always want to hide things?)
Just an observation!
mikefastener 10 months ago
@mikefastener I happen to know that Stephen Harper, whenever he is asked a tough question, runs away and hides. I also happen to know that he refused to release documents on alleged war crimes even though it was mandated by a judge, proroguing parliament shortly after, and prorogued again less than a year later to hide from a perfectly legit and legal vote which would have thrown him out of office.
So why DO right-wingers always want to hide things?
gricer1326 10 months ago
@gricer1326 Are you talking about left-winger politicians like Massage Parlour Jack? How about 5 times proroguing Chretien? How about Shawiningate Chretien? How about publicly subsidized housing Jack? How about re-flagging the CSL ships to avoid Cdn taxes Martin? How about going to a private clinic Jack?
My goodness--the shame of the left-wingers cannot be even contained in one posting!
How does that make you feel?
mikefastener 10 months ago
@mikefastener It all depends on whether parliament was prorogued for a good reason or not. For instance in Harper's case, both times he prorogued was because he was a selfish coward clinging desperately to political power. A word about how subsidized housing works - the housing association sets aside specific units for rent at market rates, the rent from which subsidizes units occupied by the less fortunate.
gricer1326 10 months ago
@gricer1326 Chretien prorogued to avoid fallout from the lie-beral corruption scandal. Apology?
Jack and Olivia pushed themselves to the front of the list--you keep conveniently forgetting. Apology?
Jack and Olivia moved out immediately due to the public uproar went this little nugget was discovered. Apology?
Three strikes, you're out...grocer!
mikefastener 10 months ago
@mikefastener If you think you can actually use that argument against the liberals in this election, you're delusional and you're a hypocrite. The sponsorship scandal is ancient history by now, and criticizing the liberals for doing something that you are doing now and ignoring your own actions is hypocrisy at its purest.
gricer1326 10 months ago
@mikefastener Please learn how subsidized housing works. The housing association has units set aside for higher-income families, who pay enough rent to subsidize the costs of the less fortunate occupants of the project. Jack and Olivia had been planning to move for years previously. Which means your argument is meaningless.
gricer1326 10 months ago

@mikefastener I don't base my opinion of a political party on the reputation of a past leader. When Stevie is angrily thrown out of office (which he will be) and forced to leave politics forever, the CONservatives will be a different party. He won't affect my opinion of the CONs themselves even though I disagree with their philosophies.

mikefastener 10 months ago
That accusation has been proven to be false. 70% of the units in the housing co-op were being paid for at market prices. A y March, 1990 they voluntarily began paying additional funds to offset their portion of the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation subsidy to the co-op—the only members of the co-op who did so. The guy who originally came up with the lie later admitted it was total BS after the co-op got on his case for it, and the couple were later cleared of any wrongdoing.

(Wow---it doesn't get better than this!)
Agreed?
mikefastener 10 months ago
@mikefastener Steady leadership eh? Of course, lies, deceit and contempt are all hallmarks of steady leadership. How about attempting to steal a ballot box? How about removing fundamental rights and freedoms so Harper and his buddies could lounge by the famous "fake lake" and watch soccer. Oh, and did I mention Harper's binge spending, the result of which is a $56 billion and rising deficit? I was under the impression that you right-wingers wanted to "stop the gravy train!"

mikefastener 10 months ago
@mikefastener Canadians WILL decide what they are concerned about, and they have decided that Stephen Harper has lost the right to govern this country. It's funny how you're basing your argument on an event that never happened.
gricer1326 10 months ago
@gricer1326 "never happened"....funny how the media are reporting Jack Laydown and his naked body in a bawdy house.
Even you got to admit, this is sooooo funny!

mikefastener 10 months ago
@mikefastener Aha, here's a statement from Olivia:
He told me about the incident after it happened.
gricer1326 10 months ago
@gricer1326 Here is what Olivia was really saying:
I know I'll never get another job like I have with big money like this MP position--I'm not qualified for much else. I'll say anything about Jack to keep my job
Hope I helped you in translation.
mikefastener 10 months ago
@mikefastener Any insinuation of wrongdoing on the part of my husband is completely and utterly false, which is why after 16 years and 8 election campaigns that my husband has campaigned in, this has never been an issue. In the last hours of this election, this is nothing more than a smear campaign in an attempt to question my husband's character. This is another reason why politics in this country need to change and on Monday, Canadians will have their chance to do just that.
gricer1326 10 months ago
@gricer1326 Please, please, my hypocrisy is well known--I'm an NDP MP overall---I'll say another to keep my lifestyle as a Champaign Socialist!

mikefastener 10 months ago
@gricer1326 I don't know about everyone else but this Jack fooling around in a bawdy house makes me (and many of my friends) physically sick!!! Do you know there were underage women there as Jack was naked!!
I can not longer vote NDP but must place my vote with an individual with strong family values and ethics---Mr. Harper you now have my vote! (Sorry if any of us ever doubted you.)
Mr. Harper, let us all work to a better Canada with you!
mikefastener 10 months ago
@mikefastener I don't know about you but Stephen Harper's brutal assault and arrest of 1100 people, the overwhelming majority being innocent bystanders, none of them anarchists, attempting to steal a ballot box, proroguing parliament for no reason other than to save his own ass, repeatedly LYING to an entire country, ignoring Omar Khadr and going on a massive spending binge* makes most of Canada physically sick, not something that never happened 15 years ago.
gricer1326 10 months ago
@gricer1326 Actually left-winger Dalton McLier and Miller-boy were responsible for your mentioned assaults and arrests. Left-winger Chretien yes did indeed prorogued parliament 5 times--thanks for asking. I'm glad you keep mentioning 15 years ago (showing you believe there is an expiry date on ethics and morality); otherwise, why would you keep mentioning the 15 years ago?
Looks like you fell into my deliciously set trap!
mikefastener 10 months ago
@mikefastener Actually Stevie was responsible for the public works "protection" act, which created the whole police state fiasco. If the conference was held at Downsview AFB, for instance, what happened would not have happened. Everyone knows that you cannot hold a summit in the core of Canada's largest city, erect fortifications and expect everyone to stay far away and quiet. It simply will not happen
gricer1326 10 months ago
@gricer1326 So, you are apologizing about accusing Mr. Harper about the arrests and now attributing them, rightly, to left-wingers, Dalton McLier and Miller-boy?
Thank you--we are indeed getting somewhere.
Looks like I am, indeed, educating you!
mikefastener 10 months ago
@mikefastener Well, considering the fact that any major summit in the core of a major city will fail miserably, it's pretty easy to see who's at fault here. Stevie says "i want to host the G20 summit in the core of Canada's largest city". Dalton and David, both horrified at the prospect, say "Oh no, that will never work! Chaos will ensue! We don't want it at the convention centre, host it at Downsview AFB or another similar location".
gricer1326 10 months ago
@gricer1326 "Dalton McLiar and David Miller-boy saying, that will never work!"
Obviously, because McLiar and Miller-boy have never worked themselves!
Easy question, easy answer.
mikefastener 10 months ago
@mikefastener Stevie says "we'll I don't care because i'm selfish and inconsiderate and i will force you to hold the G20 at the convention centre whether you want it or not." Which is what happened. Even the most incompetent individuals know that a G20 cannot possibly be held in the core of a major city without major problems, INCLUDING Harper. Why he would do it anyway is beyond me, but there is not doubt in the minds of Canadians that HE is responsible for the events of G20 weekend.
gricer1326 10 months ago
@gricer1326 Amazing that cities around the world can hold these conferences without incident. While Toronto with left-wing McLiar and socialist Miller-boy in charge can't do a competent job.
See a pattern here?
mikefastener 10 months ago
@mikefastener I know, right? It's amazing that the leader of Canada, arguably one of the most peaceable countries in the world, would give an order to assault and arrest peaceful protesters while doing nothing when action was most needed! VERY interesting!
gricer1326 10 months ago
@gricer1326 "give an order to assault and arrest" I completely agree! (One of the few things we agree upon.)
Left winger Dalton McLier and socialist Miller-boy have a lot to be ashamed of!
Wow! Took you a long time to agree to this!

mikefastener 10 months ago
@mikefastener Toronto gravy train: nonexistent. CONservative gravy train: rampant.
Let me think....billions for mega-prisons we don't need, billions for fighter jets we don't need that don't work, billions for G20 police state, hundreds of millions for unneeded and useless G8 upgrades in Muskoka (which cost way more than they should have), plus the BIGGEST DEFICIT IN CANADIAN HISTORY, WHICH CAN ONLY BE CREATED BY A SPENDING BINGE. $56 billion and counting, to be precise.
gricer1326 10 months ago

@mikefastener Does that rule out the fact that Stealin' Harper turned a $12 billion surplus (which you can thank the liberals for) into a $56 billion deficit? Also, the reason we are the "best in the G8" is because our banks are regulated.....which you can thank the liberals for.
Not so hot now, eh Mikey!
gricer1326 10 months ago

@mikefastener A freer Canada where if you have an inkling to express your opinion, you are brutally assaulted. A freer Canada where the government creeps people on facebook to find out if they have been the slightest bit involved in a different party than the CONs. A freer Canada where democracy is swept under the bus in favour of greed. That's what you get with a CONservative government, folks.
gricer1326 10 months ago
@gricer1326 Canadian are enjoying so much more freedom under Mr. Harper--tax freedom, rights freedoms and happiness that was not there under the left-wing lie-beral government.
How much freedom did those underage girls have in Jack's favourite bawdy house?
Just wondering....
Your thoughts about those poor girls?
mikefastener 10 months ago
@mikefastener Apparently we don't have the right to a responsible, accountable government, or democracy for that matter. If you think Stealin' Harper has given us more rights and freedoms, just take a look at the public works "protection" act.

Understood?
gricer1326 10 months ago

@mikefastener " grocer---you have run away after Canadians overwhelmingly voted for Mr. Harper to give him a majority."
Canadians did not overwhelmingly vote for the Conservatives. Only ~40% of votes were to them. The other 60% were towards non-conservative members of parliament, namely the Liberals and New Democrats. Just know that, if votes were layered, the Liberals would vote for the New Democrats on the second polling. So please, quit your pathetic arrogance and slandering.

@mikefastener Its bullshit that the conservatives got a majority though, first past the post is so undemocratic. Harper only had 40% of the popular vote. So if it were true democracy he would not have a majority
roryfitzpatric 10 months ago
@roryfitzpatric No PM since Mulroney has received 50% of the popular vote so your argument is pointless. (Chretien only received 40% btw). I am hearing so many Canadians cheering Mr. Harper and roaring his name in excitement and happiness for his incredible success.
Is that your experience?

@mikefastener And more:
