  • Anyone watching this video should be happy to know that Samsung finally came clean about this problem. They sent me an email the other day saying they would be reimbursing me for the repair charge. I am glad that I hung onto this long enough and kept making phone calls to them. We were about ready to put this thing out on the curb.

  • Just banged on the upper left corner and lines went away, I'll try thicker sponge pads at the "Tab Bond" locations.

  • Turned TV on this morning after yesterday's fix. After thirty minutes lines came back, I'll give it one more try.

  • Just googlee - forums.cnet.com/7723-13973_102-391250.html, it brought me right too the tab bond problem.

  • Sorry, I tried posting the complete URL but this comment section doesn't like it, I keeping getting an error message.

  • @darryl344, that link doesn't work. Can you try sending it again?

  • Had the same problem this is the fix that worked for mine, LCD Tab bond problem.

  • @darryl344 This is the fix, forums.cnet.com/7723-13973_102-391250.html

  • @darryl344 is that the right URL?

  • I have the excat same problem. I just posted a video response to your video.

  • still not repaired. I am just saving up to buy a new TV. Obviously not a Samsung. The guy basically said that we needed the most expensive part replaced.

  • Have you repaired the tv? Did he by chance describe what needed to be done to fix the tv? I took the back panel off last night and looked at the obvious stuff - capacitors, loose cables - and nothing.

  • Do you know what board? I will start saving money.

  • yep. it gets worse. now mine takes 30 - 45 min to get better

  • the same thing started to happen with my tv - same model. It has happened 5 times in the last week. It always seems to go away. Does yours do the same thing? 700 SOB that is not good!

  • Nothing yet. Samsung said because the warranty ran out that i would have to pay for it. I paid $85 for some guy to come to my house (event though i sent him this video) and he said the repair would be more than $700 dollars. So I am saving up to buy a new TV and I am never buying anything Samsung again.

I used to be a big fan of the company and had literally spent thousands with them, but never again.

You pay so much for something nice and it is defective. I am still mad about it.

  • I have the same problem. What did you do to fix it?
