La sonorità cristallina e vitrea, in questa incisione della leggendaria pianista russa, non interferisce con il timbro generale di questa composizione, miscelando pure, nel corso del fraseggio, echi e aloni levigati, che armonizzano con il tono della Toccata di Bach. Confesso che questa Toccata non è tra le mi preferite, ma l'interpretazione di Maria Grinberg, l'ha fatta apparire splendida e coinvolgente !!!!

This wonderful pianist causes me to hear this work as if for the first time. Her articulation and shaping of the second section brings out the wit and brio of the movement. I had always considered this a minor work of Bach's youth, but she showed me possibilities of this work that were lying hidden in plain view.
