@jedihunter176 Yeah, his mouth was too small to eat a mouse, and he wouldn't eat a pinky, so I had a pet mouse for awhile too. But to be fair to the lizards, he would have to catch them first.
@Clubbyful I currently have anoles and nothing to eat them :)
I made it as fair as possible, I had a good sized tank and the lizards lived in there too. I thought it would only be fair that if he wanted to eat, he would have to hunt them down. But in the end, he died, and some lizards lived out their happy lizard life in this habitat. Also, I do the same for the crickets I feed my lizards; I will not break their legs, I set them loose in the tank, and the lizards have to hunt them.
@TMSreptiles Even though this is considered a hot snake, the venom is pretty mild. But like with all venom, the important factor is whether a person is allergic to it or not.
The snake is certainly legal. As for feeding it lizards, I just keep a community of various small lizards living in the habitat, and if the snake wants to eat, he will have to hunt them down, just like in the wild.
can ou please make me a small care sheet for the esentials because i cant find one any were. i have a 10 gal tnak would that hold a baby? how long would it hold it for?
heheheh this sound funny to me becouse, i got so many on my garden hehehe, i live in panama republic and this is a very common snake in my country...so you can get them for free..whenever you want hehehe, i got myself a green vine snake very docile...they are known to have a mild venom but she never strike on me so i feel really luky to have a docile one hehehe
cheers dude let me know if you want one, i got in my garden the BROWN and green ones let me know!!
I bought him from a local pet shop after my Jackson Chameleon died. He eats 3 small lizards a week. Most pet stores like Petco won't sell you lizards if they know that you are going to use them as feeders. I had to start raising my own anoles and geckos just to keep him fed. I have about 10 lizards living in the terrarium with the snake; he hunts them down whenever he wants a snack.
Man, it sucks that vine snakes can't be conditioned to eat mice. Lizards are awesome!

would you say that the rear fanged venom is very bad or does it simply make you itch and burn a little
