  • Hmmm, 7:04 - is that a Colin's eye view after a sip of that single malt? :D

Good stuff Col, I always forget how fun it is to go out with people until I actually do it!

  • @Smith28Adventure Haha yeah must of made me a bit wobbly Smith. It was a good malt though. Yeah I know what you mean, having others for company in the hills is always good fun.

  • Hi my funny friend.

That was probably one sip too many of whiskey? :o)

    You've unrolled so well.

Yes, but for an old ninja master like you, is not a problem. :-)

    Very nice tour, Colin.

Thank you for picking me up.

    Have a nice weekend.

    Greetings Tito

  • @Naturliebe Hi Tito, thank you very much my good friend. Yeah the whisky didn't help my balance. Haha Ninja master, I wish :-). I hope you have a great weekend my friend. Take care

  • My sister LOVES your accent. You've got another fan!

  • @57mota :-) Thanks my friend, hope you have a great weekend :-)

  • Always find it funny the lack of trees, the things are everywhere here in New Scotland. Thanks for the video

  • @dragonflyhiker Thanks my friend, yeah trees are quite sparse on the high ground in Scotland unfortunately

  • nice mate, i love walking:) been to Scotland a few times and they have some great fells :)

  • @freddiemjames Thanks man, yeah we are spoilt for choice up here.

  • nice to see you back out and about keep up the good work

  • @brindle2009 Thank you so much my good friend. I still need to find some of that sheep wool for the mic :-)

  • ya know ud be warmer if ya werent drunk it increases dehydration and reduces yer heat ctrl

  • @wepntech Wasn't drunk.

  • @ColinOutdoors juss sayin waters the best way to go to any one ive seen it too many times big 300 lbs muscle bound guys dropping like sacs of spuds because ther drunk or dehydrated (hung over) dont get me i like a beer or scotch once in a while too but i avoid it if im hiking or training and may have to carry the extra water pissing it out is a real bitch when ya gotta carry the extra to stay hydrated or wind up with dehydration symptoms usually just called a hang over.

  • @wepntech Well its only a little whisky, its called enjoying yourself. I also had 2.25l of water as well. I am aware of the implications of alcohol but a minimum amount is perfectly fine with me.

  • What beautiful scenery, you are a very priviledged man Colin, great vid as always. Top man.

  • @theboyfletch Thanks my friend, yeah I am very fortunate to leave quite close to the hills. Take care

  • Cheers Colin was that video taken on Tinto Hill?

  • @montyayr No this wasn't Tinto. Cheers for watching my friend.

  • I just love these videos, the landscape is so different to anything I'm used to here. And the huge cairn is just amazing, it gives a sense of human history to the scene. I'm drinking a whiskey now Colin and I'm raising my glass to you. Thanks for taking us along mate.

  • @AussieMark909 Hi Mark, thanks for the kind words my friend. I hope you whisky went down well :-) Take care

  • You forgot your crash helmet too! Was it the whiskey you drank my friend?;o)

All the best too you in the year to come.

    Rob

  • @Andersbork Hi Rob, haha yeah crash helmet next time. Yeah it was Singleton of Dufftown Whisky

  • that looked pretty cold, better put on some windproofs next time!

  • @Spooner1987 Yeah it was :-) I actually had 3 layers of windproofs on top. :-)

  • Another cracking hike!

  • @MrFermanaghman Thank you my friend :-)

  • Talk about a waste of the good stuff! :)

On a more serious note: You need windproof overtrousers.

  • @leighrate Haha, yeah I should of put my waterproof trousers on.

  • Wow, i think if i faced that wind, i wudda been back in my truck and back into bed.

  • @hempseedaddict Haha, yeah it was a cold wind. Good for blowing the cobwebs off.

  • Colin can you tell me why there is such a lack of trees in your land?

  • @dedred5 Hi my friend, I think its due to deforestation over the centuries I am afraid.

  • That's some ankle-breaking terrain, lol. When its cold and wet I like to have a couple "hot-hands" heat packs for my shoes and gloves - they're a great help for keeping your extremities warm and they're cheap. Glad the borrow wights didn't get ya'... Thanks for another great video journey, Colin!

  • @hazeywolf Yeah the ground was tough going on this day. Glad nobody twisted anything. Great idea about the 'hot hands' I have actually never tried them. I will do in the future I think :-) Thanks my friend, take care.

  • Great vid

  • @nycbike73 Thank you my friend.

  • Im glad you found your spare battery. I lost my camera full of footage while out on a trip a while ago. I put it on the roof of the car...we drove off and heard it clunk as it fell. Looked everywhere for it...no luck. Went back to the car to leave and found it inside the car on the back seat. It had fallen off the roof, through the open rear window and into the car....lucky for me. :-)

  • @RDPproject Hi Rob, yeah finding the battery was lucky. But by the sound of it not as lucky as you. Man that camera falling from the roof into the car is a great piece of luck. Glad you never lost your camera my friend :-)

  • Dang, you'd think you were making the final push for the summit of Everest! You've got more layers on than an onion has! Just glad you didn't break anything when you went for a spill. Great fun.

  • @sabr686 Hi Sabr, lol, yeah it was certainly a chilly day. I think if I were on Everest I would have about 10 layers on lol. I think the fall was due to the whisky lol. Really enjoyed the walk, thanks for the kind words my friend.

  • awesome hike. with the wind blowing,i didn't catch what type of anti- freeze you had in the flask

  • @llib90630 Thanks my friend. I believe it was Singleton of Dufftown. :-) It was very nice

  • Another great advenger

  • @motorbikesrule125 Thank you very much my friend.

  • Great hike Colin.

Although your fall was not graceful (we'll just blame the nip from the flask - no, it was the lack of hiking poles - let's go with that, shall we), it was, and I mean this with the utmost of respect, hilarious :). I should say however that your recovery was simply elegant.

Take care my friend and keep those videos coming.

  • @inquisitivewolf Thanks my friend, yeah it was a fun hike. Haha the fall was funny, I felt like a right idiot, must of been the whisky. Cheers for the kind words and support, take care.

  • That is some howling wind in this video. What was the temperature that day (with windchill)? As for freezing, you need a ventile or cotton canvas anorak to cut the wind as your outermost layer. Cutting the wind in your clothing system makes a huge difference.

Good to see you out an about making videos again. Hopefully your car repair won't be too expensive.

    Cheers

    Brian

  • @bwillan Aye the Gore-tex is one of the best windstoppers. Infact all three layers are designed to stop wind using gore-tex and pertex. It was a fun hike.

  • I chuckled at the tumble :) Looked like a good walk, standing water and wind aside, thanks for sharing.

  • @kardredren Cheers my friend, yeah the fall was funny, couldn't believe it lol, yeah great hike, very enjoyable.

  • Another great day out buddy! Bummer about your spring giving out, but cool that your friend found your battery... that was lucky! Take care man....

  • @intenseangler Hi John, yeah very pleased about the camera battery, very lucky too. Great hike, tired tonight lol.

  • Lotsa fun thanks for the vid

  • @snappydog357 Cheers my good friend, take care.
