This spot is called "devils playground" It is as high as you can go up the mountain.
Please make sure your group is well prepared. It can be sun, rain, or snow at any given moment at that altitude.
The sunrise is amazing at devils playground. You don't camp up there but can drive up in the morning or stop at some of the lower spots. For your first visit the playground is a good spot. I will be camping at the start line this year. Hit me up and lets have a beer.
Yes, they are completely the same. Vitara is used for the European market, Escudo for Asian (and maybe for the American, don't know for sure)...But that's the same car. NOT different, as roor20 said. :D
They used to be able to set the car for dirt only. Now the track requires a mix of both asphalt and dirt setups. If anything it slows them down or atleast makes set up and driving that much harder.
"It's based on an ordinary Suzuki XL7 -- the American version of the Grand Vitara. The 3.6 litre V6 engine has two turbochargers, giving it colossal power."
2006 was the grand vitara. this year its the XL7. if you want to keep calling it something its not you might as well call it the escudo you dumb shit.
Where are you watching from? I wanna go this year and I'm wonder where I should camp/watch...

The reason I call it a Grand Vitara is because thats what the announcer said it was..... Right or wrong, I'm not too concerned.
Notice the guy he almost runs over when he goes off course a bit.
