I'm 20 and have been riding for 12 years, due to money problems and moving out I had to sell my 2 horses. When I try to explain to my boyfriend how its a passion of mine and not being in the horse project doesn't feel right, he says things like "Its just an animal. nothing more" or "its not a sport" or when i talk about the connection my horses and I had he says "its an animal, they're stupid, there is no connection". I love him but it hurts. If only he could watch this without laughing at me.

@CalienteKarma I have a friend or two that do the same thing. Once, one of them said "Equestrianism is not a sport. All you do is get on a horse, kick it and say 'go.'" and another friend said "Oh come on, the horse does all the work!" so take this from me, consider your connection with horses a gift--like a sixth sense. Not everyone can understand it or feel compassion for it, and that's what makes it unique. That's what makes those of us who do it special. It's embedded in our identities :)

You know, a while ago, I almost quit riding. I just didn't have that much fun anymore. But then, one day, I went to YT and started watching equestrian videos - also the ones from you - and then I realized, what a great thing it is to ride a horse.. - Eventually, I didn't quit riding, and now I'm having fun about it again :) (and about to by my own horse !)

Thank you, and yes, I could have put "lose", though loose means freeing or letting go something aswell so I simply thought of loose instead of lose, I thought in the poetic kind of way. I'm not positive on this, because Im not like a grammar genius or anything, but I think you should have put a verb in front of loose in order for it to mean letting go of something. For example, let loose, cut loose...Not sure though. Don't quote me on that ahha :)
