The german bundeswehr (u could translate it with national defense, it's the german army) still uses this command to start targeting practices. And it truely means "Raise weapons" or "ready weapons" or "the weapons sets in". it depends on how you translate it.

Hope i don't have to remind you wiki is written by the public, and is often wrong. And secondly, WHY would Red Alert have German in it? at all? If it were Russia i could understand, but putting that into a song where the main story is about the soviet (Russia) v the allies. Just doesn't make sense. Also, just google "We want war, wake up" you'll come up with a lot more than just wiki.

In the first Red Alert the Allies were Lead by a non-fascist Germany due to Einsteins time travel manipulations. Red alert 2 follows the Allied ending of RA1, and RA3 follows the allies winning RA2 but with the soviets going back in time removing Einstein but after he removed Hitler. Throughout much of RA1 you play throughout Germany, Poland and finally make your way to the USSR. Hope this helps.
