Really depends, this race sucked because the Acura CL had to have been a 2.2 or a 2.3. I have smoked several Maxima's with my 3.0 and would guarantee the victory over this car.
Maxima had unfair head start. The MAXIMA owner should not be proud of this race. If you look closely 25 sec. into the video when the MAXIMA is already punching it the acura wheel is barely starting.
Yes I agree but even so, the Maxima totally left the Acura behind with more weight. It wasn't inches ahead but rather several feet at least 30! I think Maxima is definitly faster.

That was a 3.0CL. I could recognize the sound of that engine anywhere. I had the same engine in my 2002 Accord V6 (see my profile for a video/sound clip).
An automatic VQ30DE Maxima could beat a 3.0CL, so I'm not surprised that the manual Max won even with 4 people on board.
If that was a cl-type-s it would rip that 3.5 a new one,, i know for a fact,, i got the cl-s and my dad had the 3.5 max,, it was a nice race but i did take it fairly easy,,, so he sold it and got a souped up 350z,, thats fun

nothing special its a 4th gen auto maxima vs a older cl..could be 2.2 or 3.0..either way again nothing special
if it was a 3.5 maxima it would have ripped that cl a new one.

no man maxima is 3.0 it's got less horsepower a little more torque and it's manual.

No. The Maxima is a 3.0. They didn't start putting the 3.5 in the Maxima's until they changed the body style.
But regardless it's going to smoke the CL.
