  • Tom?

  • What I love is the response from the Marine when Colonel Jessup tells him they're surrendering. Just a simple "yes sir" like it's any other order. lol GOLD

  • ...2:49..."Santiago stays where he is...Where gunna train the lad...", I love Jack! Excellent scene! Thanks for posting! ;-)

  • The problem on today's Military system is that whenever you request for transfer due to stressed, you will be denied. The fact that he wrote letters to everyone was just a helping hand to prove that he wasn't joking. Life is not 100% Marine, humanity is 100%.

  • Went through in the mid '80's. A lot of this went on. No one died but they were better for the "training". If we don't train like we fight and fight like we train then God help us all. Hope all you bleeding hearts love rice.

  • tom is always ready tom, finally, don't call the president

  • Col Jessup is a typical officer with his hands in his pockets even when your not suppose too.

  • Who the fuck is William T Santiago? LMAO.

  • Wholly god is this over acted- no stuttering, no umm, no ya know's. I know it's a script and a movie but who the fuck talks like this in real life.

  • $:14 This ape has such a fixation with the USMC's job of "saving lives" and he orders a MURDER (oF a young soldier), causes another death by SUICIDE of anothe officer (Lt Clnl Matthew Mar,kinson) he knew since the Academy, and puts TWO more young boys at risk (death penalty) FRAMING them for the murder carried out upon his order. This is an allucinating way of being a field officer. And someone here justifies this character just B/C he's a USMC colonel...

  • @Gheorgyi He's a legend in his own mind fighting an imaginary war LMAO. I was a Marine for 21 years and aside from the missle crisis back in the 60's ( which was basically Kruschev using Castro) and has long been over , The tiny 700 mile island of Cuba is and was about as worrisome to the USA as a cloudy day. The reason for all the Castro hype was because he hurt America in the wallet , when he took over and ceased all our property and assets. The trade ebmargo was punishment for that.

  • @Taz0161 I - Well, Mister, THAT is exactly the problem: it’s all in his own imagination, the war he’s fighting, the exalted image he has of himself and his role in that war. If really there are guys like this in the USMC, then the USMC ought to have psychiatrists scattered around in their ranks to perceive the presence of such individuals, even at this high rank, in their midst and get rid of them in time: they are dangerous NUTS..

  • I still have 2 little scars on my chest LOLThe Soviet Army Dedovshchina was the worlds most brutal hazing , and cadets were left with broken noses , knocked out teeth , broken ribs , ruptured testicles and in some instaces death occoured days later from unrealized internal injuries. I was told the reason a blind eye was turned to this was because in the minds of superiors , soldiers were being taught physical endurance IE if the enemy ever got hold of you "POW" you'd get a hell of a lot worse.

  • @Taz0161 I - II – 21 years in there? I served in the Navy, not in ground forces. What I’d like to know is, is it really necessary to have such an abusive, stultifying way of training these young men (as shown, e.g., in Kubrick’s “Full Metal Jacket”) in the Marines of the USA – to the point of adopting physical punishment up to death? “Code Red”, indeed. Is that proper of HUMAN beings? We are supposed to have reasoning power, aren’t we?

  • @Gheorgyi Well traditionally every branch of armed services had it's Citadel hazings . Even in the Navy , when a sailor crossed the equator for the first time , I believe the ritual was called Shell Backing , I pulled quite a bit of sea duty so I worked in close proximity with sailors. Just like when we got our warfare pins , getting them put on your chest without the pin backings and then getting them punched into your chest. No one ever complained because in their minds it was tradition.

  • I went through training in 1979 and yes back then it was a Full Metal Jacket boot camp. We had an overweight recruit in our platoon die. It was on a speed march , he said sir this recruit's chest hurts , the DI kicked him and said now your ass hurts , about a half mile later he collapsed. The doctors said his heart burst. Believe it or not even the silent drill team in DC had a brutal hazing , a new jack ended up with chemical burns on his penis from getting heal & sole dressing poured on him

  • Between 1979 & 2000 I witnessed phenomenal change in the armed services to the point where I believe it's gone too far in the other direction. Most of these hazing traditions have gone by the wayside from what I hear. I'm not saying that we have to beat recruits to death , but let's not forget that we are training for war and the effectiveness of a soldiers preformance is based on what he can physically endure in combat. You can't wave a stress card at the enemy ROFLMAO

  • Markinson wants to break his foot off in Jessups ass,,,,,,,,who can blame him...a classic clip.......JN is the best ever................

  • When Jessep calls for Tom, how does he respond so quickly? He'd have to be standing right outside the door!

  • @lurch321

    Thats holywood for you!

  • 0:06 " Who the fuck is Pfc. William T, Santiago?! " LOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • A Few Good Freaks....with Nicholson leading!

  • 4 people couldn't run from point A to point B without collapsing from heat exhaustion.

  • What I don't understand is this: If Santiago was such a poor example of a marine, then how in the hell did he pass the exam to begin with? This would be like asking the mail room clerk to setup the fiscal budget for the upcoming year.

  • @ejr23

It's a bit like the dubious premise of "Full Metal Jacket" ; Pvt. Pyle would never have gotten through the initial medical screening even during the draft at the height of the Vietnam war.

  • @ejr23 Santiago wasn't a 'poor' example, the basic training and SOI portions of Marine life are relatively simple to go through, any eighteen year old kid can muster through it through sheer youth. It's after you get through those portions and start branching out into actual Marine units that you're really tested, and it was there that Santiago's heart condition and general physical fitness failed him.

  • @h445 Yes, "relatively simple". If one has to believe what is shown in "Full Metal Jacket", it's just the annihilation of any individuality and thinking power , of any humanity, IF those boys do have ANY when start off at training camp.

  • He looks like he just smelled some shit at 0:06.

  • they should have sent PFC Santiago to Med Quarters them get transfered so he wouldnt be in danger from getting a code red while he would be assesed medically.

  • And I am sure that on some level Jessup thinks he is doing the correct and proper thing, and I think on another level he is getting a thrill from abusing his authority.

  • @65danrk 2-nd one correct. First one: EVERY psychotic thinks what he's doing is the correct thing, and to hell if it inconveniences or abuses others. Laws are good only if they accommodate him, otherwise... they don't exist.

  • @65danrk

This is a fictitious movie. Don't take it so seriously

  • @hofifut Yet, for a fictitious movie, it does bring up some important things to think about

  • @65danrk have you ever served in a Rifle Company? From your comment.....I DOUBT IT.

  • "But Dan, aren't you sending mixed messages by using this movie to make a point about the spying scandal?"

No. I am coming right out and saying "This is about the spying scandal."

  • Uh oh....I just recalled that I referred to the Marine Corps hymn in class a couple of times. I guess that means I was manipulationg people and deserve the loss of my basic rights.

  • Seriously, as the officer in charge Jessep has prerogatives that entitle him to take extraordinary measures to ensure the welfare of the larger community. Santiago was obviously taking advantage of his situation for personal gain; as commanding officer, Jessep should not have felt bound to act within the law. Instead of shouting "You can't handle the truth!" during the trial, Jessep should have shouted "It's one ruined life! What difference does it make?"

  • I think Jessup was acting like a long-time, highly respected professional going beyond the law to handle what he perceives to be a situation that can't be addressed using legitimate methods. Everyone agrees, right? (eye roll)

  • All those complaining about Jessup putting his hands in his pockets, think about this:

If you were in the Marine Corps, can you honestly tell me there wasn't a time when you were among your peers of the same rank and you haven't put your hands in your cammie pockets? Jessup probably doesn't do this in public or with his subordinates but in a conversation with fellow officers, he's in his office and it's informal. Marines aren't robots

  • @wvmcc82 Well put.

  • If Santiago doesn't make 4.6/4.6 on his next Pro/Con, Jack Nicholson will kill Kiefer Sutherland

  • What do you think of Kendrick?

I don't think my opinion of Kendrick has any...

I think he's pretty much a weasel myself!

    LOL

  • 2:00 "we are surrendering our position in Cuba" ... one of the best sarcasm ever

  • This scene is so awesome. I love the dialogue in this movie.

  • 4 people should be transferred off the base immediately !

  • 4 people need to surrender their position...

  • "We're in the business of saving lives Mathew" wisdom for Obama.

  • -"get me president on the phone.......we're surrendering our position in cuba"

    -"yes,sir"

-"wait a minute tom ..don't get the president just yet..may be we should consider this for a second..dismissed"

    -"yes,sir"

no sign of surprise on tom's face ??....lol

  • @vaibhav3114

    Thats part of the gag.

    Enjoy.

  • Comment removed

  • that's jack bauer he's talking to...

  • I love it when Nicholson tells "Tom" to get the president on the phone because they're surrendering their position in Cuba ... and "Tom" says "yes sir" and goes to call the president without even hesitating. He doesn't say "Sir???" or anything. I just thought it was funny.

  • @SilenceIKissYou

Yeah I think it's to show that Jessup runs his base so effeciently and by the book that no one ever questions any order by an officer no matter how absurd it sounds.

  • This is a great scene. Still there are a couple of nitpicks. One is that an officer would not walk around with his hands in his pockets. Another is that he would never refer to anyone under his command by their first name. In the military, your last name pretty much is your first name whenever you are on duty.

  • @TheStapleGunKid ..you are wrong. I worked in a headquarters co. and all the officers refered to themselves by their first names among themselves...but not infront of enlisted men

  • @WiseGuy5674

That's interesting. I've been in the active duty military for 4 years and reserves for another 4 and I never heard any officer use first names before. But I'm enlisted, so if what you said is true, I guess it explains it.

  • @TheStapleGunKid ..at one time, back in the mid '80's, I was Major Gen Doctor's driver...he was the first black General to lead the 2nd Infantry Division...All the top brass, including him, refer to themselves by their first names..like they would at a regular job...but never infront of the enlisted (besides me, ofcoarse) Officers have a tendency to stick together, and become very close.

  • A Marine being badass as usual SEMPER FI

  • "Jon, you're in charge. Santiago doesnt make 4646 on his next proficiency and conduct report, I'm going to blame you. Then, I'm going to kill you." I think this line is hilarious for the fact that we might never know if Nicholson is joking or not

  • You're right Toolshed, 2 Officers who've known each other that long I believe would interact that way and I served for 4 years and have some experience.

  • Who are the nincompoops giving "dislikes" to this video, and what the heck is their basis??? It's a gosh darn movie, men (and women)!!! Must you bring one of the greatest movies in U.S. and A. cinema down like that? This is one of the foundations for this movie! It is a great scene! If anything, don't vote at all. Vote on kids' videos, cats falling, etc., etc. Not this.

  • Is Tom, like, always right at the door, waiting for Jessup to call him?

  • @kblargh He works at a desk right outside Jessup's office, because he is Jessup's Yeoman.

  • @zcm007attack Well, yeah. What i mean is, it took him like 1/10th of a second to open that door right after Jessup called his name. Even if you're supposed to present yourself promptly after you're called, considering he'd normally be at his desk doing his job at the time, then stop what he's doing, get up, head for the door and open it, unless he was right at the door at that specific moment (eavesdropping?), that's some serious response time they have at GITMO.

  • @kblargh That's right. He already was at the door, listening with his ear against the keyhole, so he could later SELL his mates what the officers had been saying among themselves. PFC Santiago might have heard it, gotten scared s**t-less, deserted, joined those 4,000 Cubans with Russian-made AK.47 assault rtifles, and led them into the base to bump Jessup off. Then, Castro would have given him the biggest and choicest cigar as a prize, and Santiago would have avoided being killed.

  • I never cared for this scene. It's unlikely that Jessup would undermine his XO in front of an inferior officer, especially after the two served in the academy and elsewhere together. And it also takes 20+ years for Jessup and Markinson to show their differences for one another. And I've never seen a Colonel or other higher ranked officer bounce around and stick his hands in his pockets like Jessup does. Personally I would have reworked this scene.

  • Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but if they're both colonels why is Jessep higher than Markinson?

  • @heatbucspies55 Jessup is a full Colonel. Markinson is a Luitenant Colonel, one rank below Jessup.

  • @heatbucspies55 Another question, from another quarter, please, Do Marine officers come out of West Point, or there is a separate academy for them? or, they first graduate from West Point, get commissioned and then have some further training to go to? Thanks.

  • @Gheorgyi The Marines are a part of the Navy Department, and as such most of their officers come from the U.S. Naval Academy.

  • @logancody05 OK, thanks. But then, how does Jessup dare to call the navy's summer uniform "faggoty"? That's his parent branch. And talking "blow-job" in front of a woman officer, and very pretty at that... NO, colonel, that ain't kosher. And you are a loud, dirty-mouthed boor. But I guess all those guys are of thatr type: their by-word is "abuse".

  • @Gheorgyi Domanda eccellente! Marines consider the Navy as soft and not exposed to the same battle conditions they are during times of war. Traditionally, there has always been a rivalry between the Marines and Navy, even though the officers graduate from the same academy. Besides Jessup, I also dislike the way Lt. Caffey was portrayed, no officer walks into headquarters with an apple stuck in his mouth, ridiculous! I hope that answers your questions. Rimanga bene.

  • @logancody05 Navy "soft", huh? If I'm not mistaken, it's the navy's ship that have to carry them close to the shore enough so they can land there. And those ships are the targets (or at least they used to be) of coastal gun and missiles batteries, and they have to rely on the sailors to get close them close enough safely. There's only salt water all around, and down deep...

  • @Gheorgyi Yes I know, I was in the Navy. You may remember the scene where Caffey asks Kendrick if he can call him by his first name. Kendrick replies, "You may not," Caffey asks, "Have I done something to offend you?" He answers, "No, I like all you navy guys. Whenever we go to fight a battle, you give us a ride." Now that's been the Marine Corps attitude for as long as I can remember. They forget that if a ship is blown up, the sailors are just as dead as the Marines lying on the beach.

  • this is the worst movie. jessep is an asshole.

  • This kind of condescending officer is a determent to the core. The 1st rule you are taught as an officer is that you take care of your men. Still …old Jack just has a way to tell you that your eating cake when you know its shit and it seems ok.

  • @HuasoPodrido- That's, "The Corps". But otherwise I'd say you've got a point.

  • I'm only gonna ask this once: Who the FUCK, disliked this video?

  • @ajones1113 Apparently 4 no-names.....

  • @ajones1113 Who else but Col. Jessup? lol

  • @ajones1113 railfan705 that asshole

  • @ajones1113 anti-war leftists, lol

  • haha Tom must be a moron

  • When Jessup said "then I'm going to kill you" did he mean it for real, or literally? It sounded like Kendrick actually agreed with him.

  • @zcm007attack He didn't agree with him.. he said "Yes sir" as in "I understand."

  • @piratebri I wouldn't be so sure. He then said he'd be delighted to hear any suggestions Jessup would have.

  • You can see that the colonel is an a-hole and not a true Marine. A Marine would never put his hands in his pockets, that's against tradition and if a commanding officer sees you put your hands in your pockets, he would shit talk you so hard your pants fall off.

  • His sarcastic voice is remarkable :D

  • Woah! I just realized that Tom is Will Bailey from the West Wing! Oh, what a tangled web we weave...

  • yeah right he is the greatest!in every role

  • "Santiago doesn't make 46.46 on his next proficiency and conduct report, then I'm going to blame you, then I'm going to kill you."

    "Yes, sir."

You don't fuck wit Jack Nicholson.

  • believe it or not, but my name is William T. Santiago, and i was planning on joining the marines, that was b4 i saw this movie..........lmao

  • @typefastordie Having the same name isn't really a good reason to not join.

  • @bow1master - dude, that was 9 months ago, and never said thats why i might not join

  • @typefastordie sorry I figured thats what you meant not trying to be a dick or anything

  • He should have been transfered. End of story

  • @Vietboy1st and it starts.

  • @Vietboy1st If its "gay" then why open the internet? open youtube, type it in, and watch it!

  • @Vietboy1st how is this gay?

  • No one, ABSOLUTELY NO ONE can touch Jack , he is so amazing at what he does that Hollywood today has thrived into what it is because of him. He draws people by his presence alone, not to mention his movies, from all over the world, if anyone disagrees with that statement of his celebrity thats ok however think about this for a second, this man has WON - 3 Oscars & 8 Academy award(nominated 12 Xs)...,,,This guys an icon..PERIOD.

  • you're appalled....

  • What does 4 6 4 6 mean?

  • Did Jessep mean it literally when he said that if Santiago does not pass the exam, then "I am going to kill you" to Kiefer Sutherland?

  • plz show me the vedio

  • RIP J. T. Walsh (LTC Markinson)

    September 28, 1943 February 27, 1998

  • Lol wow is that jack bauer?

  • Jack Nicholson here and Michael Ironside in Top Gun look very similar.

  • I like how that kid walks in the room and was seriously going to following the order Jessep gave him to "call the president and tell him were surrendering our position" Shows you the discipline Jack has in his unit.

  • @coryboy345 Hahahaha, right?! 'Hey, tell the President we're finished here in Gitmo. Let 'em know we're packin' up, shippin' out and will be home in time for supper,' and the kid is like, 'Yes sir, the President will be on the line in ten seconds, fuck 'em, we're outta here,'. If Jessup was my superior CO, I'd do the same damn thing in the blink of an eye.

  • Santiago didn't follow the chain of command. His squad leader, squad leader's superior etc you know the drill. He tried to take the easy way out and go over everyone's heads. I wonder why his stamina problems didn't show up in recruit training like during the last course where all of them have to go through mock combat with little sleep food and water.

Marines have a hundred times the balls that I do that's for sure.

  • @Nivicoman He might've developed the heart conditon they talk about later in the trial scenes.

  • 1:52 :D

  • As it always should be

  • I love this scene. Jack Nicholson as a Marine is genius!

  • "Duuhhhhhhhhhhhh...I'm appalled, sir!"

    "You're appalled...."

  • Who else thinks Jack Nicholson is one of the top ten greatest actors of all time?

  • I think he is the greatest!!!

  • @rstryker27 Absolutely true.

There's so many epic scenes in this vid. The look in Jack's eyes after slamming down the paper, "Who the FUCK is ....." LOL. "You're appalled." "Then I'm going to kill you." "If that's a source of tension for you, I don't give a shit."

  • @cr500rebuild Add to that "Santiago stays where he is", "Sit down, Matthew".

  • LOL Was Tom really gonna get the President on the phone?

    "Yessir!"

  • @RushLimborg You follow orders to the letter in Jessup's outfit, damn the consequences

  • "Cause he's written letters to everbody but santa clause asking for a transfer"

    lol

  • "And now he´s telling tales about a fenceline shooting "

  • "if thats a source of tension or embarrassement for you, I DONT GIVE A SHIT"

Jack Nicholsen is so bad ass....

    lol

  • That line is fucking great!

  • "Who the fuck is PFC William T. Santiago?"

LMFAO. I laughed so hard at this, not because it's bad, just because the delivery was so Nicholson-esque. That whole deep-voiced, authoritative, tough, "you're-wasting-my-time-with-this-shit" attitude. It was great!

  • I agree completely.

  • lol

    :)

  • Col. Jessup was in the right here. He had no idea that the Doctor had led about Santiago's health. He was trying to train the boy.

  • WiseGuy5674 is right.. this WHOLE damn case should be blamed to that stupid doctor who thinks of nothing but protecting his reputation.. both sides have their rights and wrongs. But that dilated ass doctor only has wrongs.. LOL

  • Comment removed

  • Yes, I love it. This is what America should be like. F*** this liberal, soft crap. Rush Limbaugh is my distant cousin. I only wish he would decide to run for Prez in 2012. All of you Liberals would be scared as shit. And that goes for you Moderate Conservatives too. We don't want you in the Republican Party. Hardcore Conservatives need to take this Country back. God Bless Jack Nicholson and God bless my Cousin Rush.

  • hehehe how about some communism "bad-ass" ? than guys like you would first shit their pants and ask for some change ..probably democracy and liberals would be fine than ; )

  • Hell yeah! Train 'em all like they do in Fort Hood, I say.

  • @ciccone39 How is that only his fight. The terrorists flew planes into our nations twin tower world trade centers. And all you have to say is that it is not our fight as in Americans? Pathetic and dispicable on your part. Bush is over the age limit to even go, and the military is vonlunteer so quit whining.

  • @assault82nd What the hell are you talking about? The military was not just volunteer during Vietnam. Remember the draft? Bush was well of age to be drafted and dodged Vietnam by having his daddy pull some strings to get into the TX Air Nat. Guard to be safe. I never mentioned anything about terrorists and planes. I simply stated that W & Cheney were too afraid to go, 35 years later they pull a BS war that they won't fight in or send their own kids to. Bush & Cheney are chickenhawks.

  • @ciccone39 Hold on buddy, it doesn't matter he served his time in the Texas Air National Guard. He didn't dodge then did he? Look at Bill Clinton he dodged then came back and was elected President that is your chickenhawk. It is their kids choice to go, and if I am correct they all have pristine daughters who won't make that choice.

  • @assault82nd Yes Bush did dodge the draft by joining the guard just like how many dodged the draft by joining the Navy or Air Force to avoid the risk of going into the Army or Marines. They still dodged to save their asses. Yes Clinton was chicken but not a chickenhawk. A chickenhawk is someone who was chicken to serve in a war when they were of age, however they advocate waging war i.e war hawk. Hence chickenhawk. Hence, it's real easy to be brave when you don't have to fight your own battles.

  • @assault82nd Also you may have heard, women serve too.

  • @ciccone39 Yes, I am aware of the female service members. No it is not, a dodging attempt to avoid the Army or Marines, the Marines did not have the draft then. The Army did though. Bush done what he done at the time, and if he were drafted into the Army he would have went to Vietnam proudly. Don't discredit their service because they did not join the Army or the Marines.

  • @assault82nd Bush used his families political ties through his dad to avoid the draft by getting into the Air Guard as admitted to by people who swore under oath they helped make it happen. None of the Guard was going to Vietnam as confirmed by both Johnson & Nixon. There was a huge waiting list to get into the Guard because so. Bush was given special treatment to get in as stated before because he was too afraid to get drafted and wasn't brave enough to serve if called to.

  • @assault82nd People were drafted into ALL branches of the service during Vietnam. My friend was drafted into the Marines during Vietnam. And yes people did DODGE the draft by joining the Navy and Air Force. They didn't want to serve by joining for the sake of their country first. They joined first hand to dodge being drafted into the Army so they wouldn't have to be in the infantry and get shot at. It's safer on a ship helping to launch aircraft. Also safer staying in the US in the Guard.

  • @assault82nd Do enough research and you'll come across real stories how a bunch of new recruits would arrive at Navy boot camp in the late 60's. An officer/instructor would then look at all recruits and tell a few of them to step out of line. The rest would be ordered to continue through processing. The few who were called out would then be screamed at by the officer as being draft dodgers because the officer's could tell who was there for real and who was just there to "dodge" the draft.

  • @ciccone39 Man I am going to take my hat off to you, for the research. I will say this though to say joining another branch of the armed services to avoid a draft is absurd. Youa re in a military branch that means you served just because you didn't serve in the two branches the Us Army or Marine Corps does not constitute a draft dodge.

  • @ciccone39 I have a petty officer who served in the Navy and he was on an LST and was shot at during Vietnam so to say that the Navy didn't recieve cross fire and or tracers is proposterous. Men in the Navy were shot and killed abroad the Vietnamese shoreline. Also to break this down, it didn't matter as long as you served then who cares if Bush went into the Air Guard, he served.

  • @assault82nd Yes regardless if people joined to dodge the draft they are still veterans and yes you could still get shot at in branches such as the Navy. However the risk of taking gunfire was less in the Navy. My point is in the end certain draft dodges included joining lower risk branches by some who did it to avoid going into the infantry where if not all, most of the hardcore action was. Serving was not their first obligation that's just a fact. Bush is an example of this as are many others.

  • @ciccone39 Well regardless of his decision, today''s military is strictly volunteer so if you go infantry as I have, then it is voluntary and a conscious sober decision.

  • @assault82nd I never was trying to have an argument just a good conversation. In the end it's the government that's the scum of the earth by lying to and deceiving the people and military of this country. Peace and God bless.

  • @ciccone39 I am not arguing I am discussing. I understand yor position. Hopefully things will look up in Washington.

  • @ciccone39 I wasn't talking of the Vietna era I am talking about Afghanistan and Iraq era. So as of now the Military is volunteer.

  • @ciccone39 Also at the time of Vietnam it didn't matter which branch you belonged to as lon as you served. How do you know he didn't just go out and join the Air National Guard?

  • "What the fuck is going on in Bravo Company, mathew?" Jack is great!

  • Comment removed

  • see the best 2:30

  • he deserve oscar for this scene !!

  • Aha, 1:52.

  • Jack Nicholson acting like a charm !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Jack is awesome in this movie...the dialogues are so impactful....bravo!!

  • "John, you're in charge. Santiago doesn't make 46.46 on his next proficiency and conduct report, I'm going to blame you, then I'm going to kill you."

    "Yes, sir."

    lol

  • J.T. Walsh was one of the best character actors I've ever seen. R.I.P.

  • Great great performances. Nicholson has that amazing delivery where he never yells, but is so calm that it's more frightening than anything.

Yelling can be bad and nerve wracking, but that constant calmness when you know someone is furious is terrifying beyond belief.

  • So bottom line is you can't get a transfer when you're in the Marines. I think I read that somewhere once

  • That was a joke right????

  • Lol. yes.

  • "Who the FUCK is PFC William Santiago"

One of my favorite lines other than "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!"
