I did the install myself, and I am no mechanic. Somehow though I messed up my O2 sensors. The bike would run "funny" once it warmed up and even stall out. V&H was great to assist in the troubleshooting over the phone and email. In the end, I replaced my O2 sensors with ones I found on ebay for cheap. After that it has been running like a dream. I bought mine from eastern performance. They have a store AND an ebay store - its cheaper on their ebay store than their main site.
I'm considering adding big shot duals to my '11 Road King. Did you do the installation yourself, including the air cleaner kit and fuelpak? What air cleaner kit did you use? Was it a complicated installation? How long did it take you? Where did you buy everything? I'm thinking of buying from J&P.
@jdrilley2 did you have to re-tune the bike after you installed all those? i was told by Harley i had to tune mine since i have an 11 fatboy also and it was going to cost around 1700 for the full install and i just dont see the justification on spending almost 2k to change the sound but if you can install it without tuning i might just do that
@basplya04 The FuelPak by V&H takes care of the tuning. In a previous post I listed what I paid for all items. My total instal cost was under $1k. I'm not a mechanic, not even close. But I can look at most things and figure out how to replace them. If you get V&H exhaust, you have to get the FuelPak. Hardest part of installing that is getting it to sit just right under the seat. V&H has outstanding tech support should you run into any issues.
@jdrilley2 i did see your previous post and i think I'm going to do the same setup except i'd like to get the big radius 2 into 2 but thanks for the info you probably saved me a lot of money now that i don't have to get it tuned.
The pipes are loud, much more so than stock. A friend of mine has the VH true duals and they have a higher pitched pop sound at high RPM. I like the Big Shots because the sound is deeper.
Compare the volume of these pipes with the other video I posted "LnJR". That is a non-harley with custom exhaust. It sounds deep but is quiet.

Do the pipes have the quiet baffles in them? or just the regular ones?

@sjpones3
I did not add quiet baffles, they are as they arrived from V&H.
