  • how long did it take

  • @jjizabeast1

I had a week or two into her:):)

  • AWESOME!!!! nice job.

  • I know you did this a while ago, but I just bought one nearly exactly like this today. The only difference is the one I bought has a tub while yours has a shower. It's going to need redone also, but the guy I bought it from told me it was an 80's model. It's nice to know the true age! Before I can remodel mine tho, I need to finish the gut and remodel of my house. This camper is to keep the kids warm while I'm working in my ice-box of a house. It's great that others still have one of these too!

  • nice job. good work.

  • I have a 1979 Fleetwood wilderness that i bought out North Carolina the guy had replaced the roof but it wasnt fastened too good and it ripped off on the interstate so now i got to find some sheeting to go back on it and put a new septic tank in

  • Great job.have fun with it .

  • hay billy d good vid now all u have to do is put some rc jet engines some wings and hay presto an rc camper

  • Good job! Been thinking about taking on a project like this some day. Kinda afraid it'll turn into a money pit and a big headache, although you seem to have done well.

  • automatic thumbs up for the steelers rug

  • Yup. Been there, done that. Amazing how, with just a bit of effort, these things can be brought back to life. Nice job.

  • Awesome work! You inspire me to restore my little RV!

  • Great job, thanks for doing the video of your work and sharing.

  • That camper looks like a Holiday Vacationer, late 70s model.

  • Great rebuild, nice vid clip to watch. Thank's

  • Thanx for the lesson ,one question did you poly before you put up your paneling? nice job!

  • I learned from experience that Silicon doesn't last long for sealing leaks on the roof.

You can buy something at RV supply centers called pro bond that works well.

  • Great job!!

  • I have a reailer thats about 3 feet longer and i had to take all tin off of mine on both sides and the front and rebuild al the framing 1/3rd the way in from the front

my trailer is a 79 holiday

  • Looks great. Have fun on your camping trips.

  • Airplane Hanger?? Nice!

  • Nice work gonna get one some day.

  • Thanks for the peak, I recently bought a 73 Mobile Rambler, it needs some work but I will be doing mostly patch jobs and hillbilly fixes since I don't have your knowhow and attention to detail. But your video is inspiring and has given me some ideas, thanks.

  • nice work buddy!!!

  • Great work buddy, Here you can check mine out, It is a 1979 Class C with a 440 big block, I'm rebuilding it from the ground up. go to RV. net forum Look for oldtrucker63.......Total rebuild of a 1979 dodge RV

  • sir i just wanted to thank you for taking the time to show us what you can do i mean you took something that looked like shit and made a million dollar ride 1 thing i wanted to ask what did you use to patch the holes in the front of the camper under the sub floor you took out

  • nice work! A buddy of mine had this -exact camper and we spent alotta good times up on the lake with it.. lol Enjoy bud!

  • Great job and great video.

On the floor, was the frame part in the corners hard to replace?

Also I'd like to know what you used on the roof aswell

    Thanks

  • How much did it cost to redo that. I have a camper that looks exactly like that (like I think it is the same one). Cheers, Lucius

  • whats the stuff you put on the roof

  • great job. Wish I had OCD. Your attention to detail is impeccable.

  • @Livinggreen100

Trust me you don't want to have OCD!!!!! "LOL" Thank you for the comment...

  • Well Sir, you did an excellent job on your restoration. I have a 1952 Spartan in desperate need of a restoration. Wish I had some good help !

  • @JanetinTenn Thank you!! We have camped in it 3 times so fare this year! Put a window A\C in it and it stays 70 in there when it is 95 out there!!! I put a now POOP tank on here so the bathroom works now!!! It was worth the time and money i put into her!!!!

  • Nice ladder is it s 4wd Ladder or 2w:D

  • i need to put my fridge on electrick before switch it on propane and it work fine when its cold already

  • Although not something I'd want to do myself, if it can be fixed up and restored, I'd say go for it! It looks good on the outside thus far.

  • Hey there, i have a 1975 Prowler 17' that we are working on. Please tell me what you painted the stove with and tell me what I need to hook up the water in the bathroom. All I have is a copper pipe sticking up from behind the toilet. Our campers could be twins...very similar!

  • Jeff and Deb might want it back now! Great work

  • very good job on making video and work you could of nailed or screwed the floor into place also one solution to stop leaks you get galvanized sheet metal pre drill holes around ends sheets come usually 4 by 8 ft and a roll of puddy tape cover entire roof overlaping ends around the sides apply puddy tape under edges and holes and screw down on roof and sides you will never have a leak again!

  • Nice work Billy. I'm trying to get one ready in time for the NEAT Fair 2011.

  • Awesome job!

  • this is great man!!!! Thanks and awesome job!

  • I like the explanation of the work the best. When I rebuilt my 78 Shasta, every project took on a hole new direction. I loved the work and still enjoying her today 4 years later. Oh Crap, I should probably register this thing :)

Enjoyed the video. You are gonna love using it.

  • Nice. . . . . lets see another one Billy have you finished it off yet

  • hey if it hasnt already happened i reccomend not traveling with the stove grates not because it will talk the paint off

  • LOL ! I have OCD

  • Great job! Before you said the model year (at the end of the video), I sooooo knew it was from the 70s. It was the avocado countertop that gave it away. Took me right back to my childhood. Remember avocado-color fridges back in the day? I really like the design of the kitchen area in your trailer. Again, good job! You should be proud of yourself.

  • I just got a trailer roughly in the same shape as yours was. This video should help. Thanks.

  • Cool vid and nice job :-)

  • Heck Nice job......I need one......So I can sleep in it...my couch is getting old....Lol

  • looks really good man!!

  • Hey great work. I've been wanting to restore one myself. There are tons of them for free on Craigslist. But what I really want to know is the cost to do it.

  • @hlbatesjr

I put $400.00 in mine without tires!!

  • @billyd44444

How long did it take you? I've been looking at some 1984-1990 RV's for a longgggggg road trip, like 6 months to a year, Canada to all over South America. I just wanted something small, but inexpensive since we'll most likely just leave it down there/sell it.

  • @hlbatesjr Great minds think alike, unfortunately your thinks like mine. ;>)

  • Nice work Billy....It would be nice if you turned it into a rolling work shop and carry your planes to events...I know someone who did that with a panel-van...

  • Looking good. I would not have given it to you if i knew you would put some UGLY ste.... steel.... i cant even say it. That stinking football team rug in it. Hope you can get the wife to sleep in it after she sees the video.

    GO BROWNS

  • Great job!

  • nice job on the refurb. You did a great job.

  • heeey you could fit a few modded Wlldhawks in there! ! i silver tarred a expando roof that'd never leaked before, but it was all rusty, so i silver tarred it, first rain the ceiling filled with 2 gallons of water - hung down like one of them mammary clouds - i poked a hole in it and it drained into buckets --the avocado colored kitchen was cutting edge for a few years in the early /mid 70s-

  • Wow Nice Job!!

  • Hey no problem dude. Looks like a gr8 hunting camper .

  • man your good youve done a really good job with it, nice really like it well done

  • Great job!

  • Do your self a favor put lenoleum ,if thats how you spell it, heheh it will keep the moisture down in the camper. Eventually carpet will smell . Because in the winter the hot and cold will cause the floors and walls to get moist. It is also easier to sweep. Just use a throw mat .Hey great transformation. Looks very campable heheh

  • @lewandlo

Thank you and your right on the linoleum floor!!!!

  • I will camp in that for sure lol

  • awesome , campin weather is now!!!

  • awesome

  • Welcome to the RV world!

    And of course, Nice work...

Gonna mount a big ol ducted fan for a toilet vent?

  • Well done Billy. Keep up the good work.

  • Love stuff like this. Now you need to get a micro to take with you on family camping trips. Micro Mike

  • Good job on the portable beer garden!!! One question.... all that focus on the fridge, but where's the kegerator???

  • Talk about a score! Nice work on the paneling and framing! I bet it doesn't smell like an old trailer any more! :-)

  • Great job.....are you a real human....
