  • I didn't know that poets could laugh, much less at themselves. Cohen is a very interesting man. He was only middle-aged then. He is elderly now and better than ever.

  • looks like Graduate's hoffman....

  • So beautiful and funny at the same time.

  • So funny ^^

  • not to be morose but,I PREDICT THAT DUSTIN HOFFMAN WILL PLAY LEO IN A MOVIE. post mortem of course. i think it would work like a charm but hope that leonard cohen outlives everyone and a movie never gets made.

  • @IExposeMormonism "what left him tongue tied is a phrase no Jew wants to hear" "as brutal as anything... Muslims dished out"

If u r even 1/10 as moronic about the LDS church as u clearly r about Jews & Muslims, i doubt there's anything remotely accurate (or decent) in yr "exposure" of Mormonism.

But folks, i hope nobody gets this comment (or any like it) banned; it's important 4 people 2 know what ignorance is still out there in the world.

Can't be dealt w/ if we try 2 pretend it's not there.

  • I just bought my DVD of Bird on a wire, but this clip is not on it... Is it only included in the original movie?

  • @rekske1 Yes it is not in the re-edited version.

  • This is brilliant!! A true musician!!!! Beautiful performance!

  • just want to cuddle him....

  • This is really cute. I love Leonard Cohen, he's such a legend!

  • Looks like " Please don't pass me by " written and sung by Maestro Cohen himself. The chords are the same at last. Aren't they. ? Thanks for posting. Malleck.

  • ok, thats nice- buildind all kind of theories about jews, jesus ect...

suzzane is one of his loved songs here in israel, just like in any other place.

    forget all this jews-jesus crap...

maybe you live in the 14 century, but we are talking here about the 70's of the 20 century.

  • Sorry, maybe I'm being defensive in these Trying times... Not to be unreasonable, His name is not very popular over there, esp c. 1966-74. You gotta be careful what you say over there. You preach it in public and you could be a dead man. And what is going on in the world right now makes 1400bc or 1400ad seem tame...Sorry I'm a little testy, I discovered Mormonism and it's all the OT in spades. "Old World Religion" they call it! From 1830-1900 it was as brutal as anything the Muslims dished out.

  • @IExposeMormonism talking has rules, specially when you talk about holy books for some people, you gotta show some respect, not love, but respect, we Muslims don't dish anything out

  • @3rby i could rephrase that because 911 was not done by Muslim cave dwellers running amuk on airplanes. i think LC was having a difficult time because of the lyrics: "Jesus was a sailor when he walked upon the water and he spent a long time watching from a lonely wooden tower...when he knew for certain only drowning men could see him...but he himself was broken long before the sky would open forsaken almost human he sank beneath your wisdom like a stone. but maybe i'm getting old, too much Freud

  • @IExposeMormonism yeah? watch my video: the fitna of fitna

Hitler was a protestant, does this mean all protestants are as bloody as he is?

  • @3rby Hitler was a practicing occultist. He brought satan's throne from Turkey in Pergamos to the Riechstadt. He was a drug user, and nothing close to a protestant or Christian.

  • @3rby Were that it were so. There are 55 Muslim nations, they control the UN. Sharia Law and Jihad insist they have total world dominance and over 90% of the wars on the planet now involve Islam, nice religion you gots there. Oh, 80 million were killed by the Ottoman's taking India, religion of peice? Piece of what fell out of Arafat?

  • I love his humbleness. What a man. At around 2:00 does he say "I don't want anyone to lose it"?

  • Where did you get this video man?

  • cringe

  • ive been looking for this for months now since they took the other one down, thank you so much.

  • Wow, Lenny - the man, the myth, the legend.

Seeing him on 2. IX 2009. in Beograd - can't wait!

  • I like this so much.

  • I saw him last summer, and it was great. One of those life changing moments. What I was going to say is that he's really got stamina. When the audience think that the joke is over and starts the applause, he just continue the "song"

  • i like all this videos.its great

  • I REALLY like this!

  • Goes to prove the saying I saw in piece of music journalism a while ago that Leonard could have been a jewish stand up comedian if he wanted to be.....

  • Most of his work is comical. But it doesn't mean it can't be serious.
