The first V-rods had mid-controls. I don't know why HD is moving all their bikes towards forward-controls, giving riders cronic back aches. The rider was putting his feet on the rear passenger pegs at first. Which would probably give him more control. Hence his bitching at the end of the ride. At 1250cc, it's no muscle. Compared the jap muscle cruisers like the Raider 1800, Warrior, or Boulevard 108. The V-rod is a mid-weight. Heck, don't even think about comparing it to the new V-max :)

@dduangrat No, the V-Rods have ALWAYS had forward controls. The only one with mid controls is the 2006-2007 Street Rod (VRSCR) which I have. I have no idea why you are wondering why HD is moving their bikes to forward controls. Forward controls is the most common way for cruisers and is what harley has done for decades. They have a few with mid but most are forward.

well, i just chose it because i liked it better.

i like the tail WAY better, and i like the airbox cover

(what people might think is the gas tank) WAY better.

money wasn't a huge factor. i do like the night rod special

quite a bit, but the muscle just spoke to me more. and plus,

the special is only $500 bucks cheaper.

out for the Muscle, though... i'd like to see some
