i don't think kyo lost to kyshiro mibu if you look at the last scene where he is running to yuya you look at his smile because his eyes are hidden but he has those pronounced canines that anime tends to use to identify charictors, when kyo smiles he shows those canines kyoshiro ...well never smiles but when he does no canines they never closed the story to be honest i like the idea atleast
Kyo is awesome. The manga is better than the anime, though. If you read it, you'll be shocked about how different it is! Much better fights, and when the bad guys die, they bleed! No kenyou crap! lol.
I finished the series a short while ago... and I don't want to spoil anything, but I have to tell you. The beginning? Bah, Kyo at the end... I've had people argue that Rurouni Kenshin or Ichigo are better, I'm sorry.... but I have to say they'd be dead before they blinked. MUMYOJINPU RYUU!!!!!!!!!! OUGI!!!!!!!!

You're right they became one but Kyo became the more dominate persona and he and Yuya became lovers. Way different from the manga btw.
