Where is this located? I really want to enter sportive shooting after my Abi, the germans on here know what I am talking about. Of course, starting out small would be the premise, so no M1A at the very beginning.
"What does it take to be as badass as this dude?" :D
@IKEELYOUNOW Thank you for answering my comment, but is a few of us who hs exactly the same feeling that this range is much shorter than 300m. We could swallow 150m but 300.... doesn't it looks like. Sorry if it's offending you. lol :-)
Gotta love owing and shooting guns I have a M1a Socom 16" love the gun now all I need is the right stock and scope combo for the gun to bring it all together.
Hey Buddy ;) you really made me smile, thanks for the comment :D ... and by the way i think it´s clear to see that this scope is Leupold MARK4 3,5-10x40 with a illuminated TMR reticle...keep up the good work ;)
that looks like a dsr-1 in other side of the range firing along with him. m1a EBR and dsr-1 ftw to fav guns for long range but still cant pass up the barret, how ever how could they the barret m82 is an "anti material" sniping weapon, not a weapon designed like thies bad boys. :D
no. I know. I was commenting on xmetallicaxx619's comment who said that germans know what a good weapon is. In this case, the weapon is american, but they recognize its quality because they themselves know how to make excellent weapons. Does that make sense?
@LWRCftw i think he knows that hoss hes just sayin that the germans know a good rifle when they see one refering to the greatness that is the m1a/m14 dose that clear it up man
Good point, but they are very hard to compare. An m1a, especially an EBR (which means it has the Sage arms kit) is a multi purpose weapon platform. Reach out and touch someone or shorten the stock and clear a room. But you have an R700, you know what they're made for :)
You can't really compare the both... the M1A is semi-auto, and the R700 is bolt action. The quesion is, what do you prefer, a bolt action or semi-auto? Another question, would you rather pay $450 or $1500? Thats what I ask myself.
Regardless, fine weapon you have. I'm considering either the M1A Scout with an EBR stock such as this. On the other hand, a PTR91, which is an American built H&K 91 variant. If this is what I decide to purchase, I would replace the foregrip with a wide, later model H&K G3 grip, and replace the full stock with a sliding rear H&K G3 stock.

What is the rifle in the background, an H&K 91?
Regardless, fine weapon you have. I'm considering either the M1A Scout with an EBR stock such as this. On the other hand, a PTR91, which is an American built H&K 91 variant. If this is what I decide to purchase, I would replace the foregrip with a wide, later model H&K G3 grip, and replace the full stock with a sliding rear H&K G3 stock.

thats a nice looking rifle... is the m1 the same as the m14??? big 5 has the m1 on sale for 599.00 and i want one...
jcr1r2r3 3 years ago
This rifle is(as far as I can see in this video) an M1A. The primary difference between the M14 and M1A is the fact that the M1A is a semi-automatic designed for civilian use. There are other, minor differences, although that's what really distinguishes the two rifles. Also, this stock is quite unique, and is currently in use by various special operations groups. I find it the most well designed for this weapon in terms of ergonomics (pistol grip) and practicality (no bedding required).
charlesaferg 3 years ago
Hi Charlie,
yes this rifle is basicly a Springfield M1A loaded, the stock is awsome, even during firing you never loose your target through the scope because of the reduced recoil, accuarcy enhancement was immediately, i am using Federal Premium 175 grs. HPBT to shoot 20 rounds i a hole with 1,5 inch on 120 Yards. The G3 in the background is a sabre defence semiauto G3 clone made in britain, a friend of mine has a original HK41. rubbercheck72 2 years ago
@charlesaferg i think its interesting to note that springfield coined the term M1A. anywhere else, they usually use just M14, or M14 NM(the NM meaning Non-Military, or semi-automatic). the M14 in the civilian market has been known as the M1A for so long, that many manufacturers have adopted, or anotated it.

@fluffykittynoodles NM stood for "National Match" which means heavier barrels and glass bedded actions for competition.

did you see the rifle? there are a few m1s. there is the m1 garand, m1 carbine and the m1a/m14. you should talk to them about it. if its the garand or m1a/m14 then $599 is a very good price.
