When i was little i was in love with the lion king.. i'd cry everytime i watch it. it was a huge part of my childhood and now i never watch it and when i watch this it brings back old memories and i cry.
?? A lot of people make Lion King fan videos. For this song in particular, a lot of people relate it to the movie, I think especially because the opening lyrics resemble part of "Circle of Life".
Pretty good. I don't know, some of the clips seemed misplaced. But I'm just being nitpicky. The theme of this was very nice, and you pulled it off effectively. I like that the final chords of the song had Simba roaring on the Pride Rock's summit. Nice touch. Nice extension of the video after the song too.

Well, it was all quite nice, up through the part of the reprise that said "Maybe forgiveness is right where you fell." The clips up to and including there made sense, because it was about Simba forgiving himself, facing his past, etc. But when it said "Where can you run to escape from yourself?" it didn't quite make sense to me to have Simba angrily chasing Scar up the cliff. The focus was suddenly on Simba's anger.
It seems to me that Scar was the main reson for Simbas guilt adn self exial befor that, so the lines "Where can you run to escape from yourself " fit if you look at it from that pespective of Scar being the Antagonist to Simba
And I understand you had Scar gawk at the cliff, when it said where you gonna go? But it still seemed like it didn't fit the theme.
When it said "salvation is here", it didn't make sense to see ashes flying into Simba's eyes. The part right after it made sense, because of the song's focus being "Dare you to move" it would make sense to show Simba fighting Scar, because he was fighting back for his kingdom, and his past. I'm just saying the lead-in for that seemed off to me.
Yeah, I agree the focus changes strangely there. That wasn't really intentional, since I meant for it to be that Simba was finally NOT trying to escape his past by going after Scar and facing it, but the part where Scar comes to the edge of the cliff sort of naturally fell there and looked nice.

I mainly did it to lead into the guitar solo for the fight. Your thoughts are actually really similar to what mine were in deliberating whether to keep those scenes the way they were, but since they fit musically and made sense at least to me I ended up keeping them.
