  • That being said, Jesus spent his days here on earth opening peoples eyes to the truth, HEALING the sick and liberating all who were oppressed by satan and ultimately fulfilling the promise of establishing the new and better covenant(Acts 10:38). What is the new and better covenant you might ask, the bible calls Jesus the last Adam, meaning that Jesus restored what Adam lost in the beginning. We now have a direct relationship with God, like we did before man sinned.

  • If you want to know what God is like, read the gospels and see how Jesus spent his life on earth. Jesus was God incarnate, He is the PERFECT reflection of God, after all God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are all one unit or the same(John 14:8-11).

  • I come from the prosperity gospel mess... I wish my eyes were opened sooner.

  • Powerful.

  • Water borne diseases kill 5 girls every minute. Mostly from diarrhoea. It would cost $10bn per year to provide Africa with clean drinking water, or one supernatural act.

  • It is also very clear to me that you have know idea what the prosperity is about the fact that you judge people to be money minded makes you guilty of the same because I know you aint' judging by fruit.

  • God does want His children to prosper haven't you ever read Genesis Piper. Every time someone mentioned the blessing it was always accompanied with great wealth. Lets not forget Job who if we were to calculate to modern day currency he would have billions and by the end of the book the Lord doubled what He already had. How come the Lord didn't tell Him to sell all His things and give it to Africa Piper?

  • Its ok to expect God to provide you emotional support when times are tough, and yet it's not wrong to expect God to provide financial support when times are tough.

  • @louise9914 problem with that is he doesnt promise financial stability, or health for that matter. In fact he promises the exact opposite to those who truly follow him "Take up your cross" is not a statement about being healthy or financial stability.

  • @dazafilm well said .... It is a shame that the actual msg, per comments, is over shadowed by extremely negative agenda driven precepts that attempt to discredit the Christian faith. What is even sadder is that this negativity will be used as an excuse for inactivity. It is like being criticized for the way you work, or try to improve the running of a soup kitchen by someone who never ventures in to help.

  • what is this DROSS you're talking about?! you...you wouldnt know a gift if it bit your ass!

mongrel! burn your books and learn something for Chrissake

  • So Jesus is best when you kill your daughter? That sounds about right according to the Bible, they always seem to ask you to sacrifice your own children.

  • @AznAndy9000 im sorry but i dont know what kind of bible are you reading but the real bible does not talk about sacrificing your own children....

  • @AznAndy9000 Where does it say that?

  • Nietzsche was so right about christianity being a religion of death

  • That feel when your daughter dies and am loving every of it.

  • Also, what idiot doesn't buckle his daughter in before driving??

  • @DisforDubby

Its not like I really care about any of that but it sure is annoying to watch christians being so swellheaded about being christians... after all they just don´t do anything different from anyone else!

If they were all the way their jesus told them to be like america would be heaven...

and yet it´s so messed up... srsly when will they learn?

  • @Suuuperelaxed It seems like 90% of every sermon is them railing against their own church for not doing things the "right way". I'm pretty sure there is no "right way". And if God doesn't care enough to let children suffer and die then why should Christians? Oh then they would say God wants us to do his work for him... but then they bitch about how we are not doing God's work right. Then when we do it right they bitch because we are taking the credit. OMFG JUST SHUT UP ALREADY

  • @DisforDubby

Ok now the strangest part of all this is that we are guys who get all this shit sorted out in our minds... and that´s really not very common on this planet. We are of the few of people who were "blessed" with the gift of understanding that the universe is senseless in a way yet unbelievable interesting because noone actually understands what the hell is going on.

And I think that´s just what science is telling us. Shits way more awesome than religion lets you think.

  • So in other words, faith is a handy coping mechanism for excruciating emotional trauma.

  • @caelum2000 I sense cynicism in your remark, but yes. That's one of the things that come from bring a Christian is being able to hold on to God when we face adversity. A Christian must make it a point to rely on God. Because it's not by our works that we receive salvation, but rather through Christ's works, we become justified.

  • Yikes, the brain has been washed well with this one.

  • Ive watched this about 15 times. I wish that Joel Osteen would watch it once.

  • @evand2911 AMEN TO THAT

  • Wealth is in the eyes of the beholder. I don't really see the difference between what he denounces and the gospel he is advocating here. The way faith practice and mindset is framed in both cases here, sound to be the same one. For Piper, emotional well-being in the disguise of spiritual commitment to Christ and discipleship sounds like a therapeutic gospel that is just as shallow.

  • @DavidDayPraise It's true that both gospels are therapeutic, but not both are shallow. On one hand, people make health, wealth, and comfort their savior. On the other, people make Jesus Christ their Savior. On one hand, people exalt what is internal. On the other, people exalt what is External--or rather, Eternal. On one hand, "the gospel" leaves people dead--not to mention unsatisfied--in their sins. On the other, "the Gospel" is God telling us that we are free through Christ--fully satisfied.

  • @SiIverxLight It's hard to tell which one is more shallower. Seeing God as a big therapist, sounds like a construct made to appeal for suburban, post industrialist population who are seeking to fill in the void, loneliness, and in the midst of riches and comfort that were created due to the wealth. What appears shallow really depends on whose socio-economic lens one puts on.

  • @DavidDayPraise My bad for the previous misunderstanding. I'm starting to get what you mean. Can I just say this in response to what I understand about your point: As we know, the word "gospel" means "good news." Both the prosperity gospel and the gospel that Piper is preaching present the hearer with a sort of good news. Both of them include the satisfaction of a longing for something more, but in different degrees; therefore, both depict God as a kind of "big therapist," I admit.

  • @DavidDayPraise However, that's where the similarities stop. In Piper's gospel, the healing is only a byproduct--a blessing--that comes from the main truth: that Jesus Christ "gave himself for our sins so that He might rescue us from this present evil age." Though Piper is seen to emphasize a type of prosperity in God, he does not emphasize it over the fact of God's justification of the sinner through Christ i.e. the Gospel.

  • @DavidDayPraise By the prosperity that Piper presents, he is only addressing the problem of people, though being saved by grace, finding themselves obligated to bear the fruits of the Spirit and finding themselves seeing godliness as something they must do because of the fact that they are saved i.e. a chore, rather than focusing on Jesus Christ...on God, in whose presence is fullness of joy; and from that fullness of joy, the fruit comes naturally.

  • @DavidDayPraise So unlike preachers of the prosperity gospel, Piper is not watering down the Gospel, he is simply bringing to mind an aspect of it that many modern-day Christians have overlooked. Once again, this is what I understand from Piper's message; I'm not going to say what I said absolutely true, but it does seem evident. Sorry if the tone in my words were offensive in any way or even what I said was offensive! I don't mean to bring up a heated debate. ^^

  • i think it's just a different definition of what "prosperity" is- i mean in jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

  • This has nothing to do with anything but the editing in this was cool!

  • @CHAOSin8bits God allowed us to BECOME savages because this was the best way for Him to let us who believe into His Kingdom, and keep those who don't believe out.

  • "If Jesus had preached the same message that ministers preach today, He would never have been crucified." - Leonard Ravenhill

  • religion is fucking stupid. it has caused so much shit on earth.

  • @CHAOSin8bits True. But not Jesus. People did.

  • @IamMarsLion why did god make us savages then?

  • @CHAOSin8bits

87% of wars were started by atheists (people who believe there is no God)

    check your facts

  • @jd6017 you keep tellin' yourself that. i'm not gonna burst your moral superiority bubble.

  • @jd6017 lol yeah sure

you just go on back to your room kiddo and let the adults handle things out here in the religious section of youtube.

but seriously dont buy into anything religious people tell you...

  • I'm not a fan of John Piper's overall theology (which is largely Calvinist in nature--I'm Missouri Synod Lutheran, so I disagree with Calvinism), but I love how well he debunks that horrible Prosperity Gospel crap, and I like that he is very passionate in his preaching.

  • Still a fresh and powerful message against those wolfs

  • with Tears AMEN!!!!!!!!

  • God is enough, God is enough, he is good, he will take care of us, he will satisfy us, he will get us through this. He is our treasure whom have I in heaven but you? and on earth there is nothing that I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart, my little girl may fail but you are the strength of my heart and my portion forever. That makes GOD LOOK GLORIOUS!! -John Piper on P.G

  • 114 people have their reward.

  • I agree but there's a balance to be struck. What about Proverbs 3:7-10?

7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil.

    8 This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones. 9 Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops;

10 then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.

  • @howieeekim What about Abraham? Was he poor or was he the richest man on the earth who had a heart after Christ?

  • @complicatedasnumbers. I do not believe that Christianity should be marked by suffering for Christ and I do not believe that is what the bible teaches. I do however believe that we are heirs of the prophets and can do anything and everything Christ has done if we do it in his name and for his glory. Amen

  • @armstrongjustin1 Sorry but I have to disagree.

2 Tim 2:3 - "Join with me in suffering, like a good soldier of Christ Jesus."

Acts 14:22 - "..We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God"

Rom 5:3 - "..But we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance"

Rom 8:18 - "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us."

Suffering in and of itself is evil, but suffering for Christ is gain!

  • John Piper says and I quote, "The christian church should be marked by suffering for christ." "God in most glorified in our time of loss." That is a sad gospel. John 14:13-14 "And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name and I will do it." That seems pretty clear. I like what the bible says and I will worship God in accordance to the bible and not according to what John teaches. Amen

  • @armstrongjustin1 Then continue to read His word and you'll see that everything Piper says is scriptural sound in Truth.

  • @armstrongjustin1 1Pet 5:10 - "And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast."

1 Pet 4:19 - "So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good."

Phil 3:10 - "I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death."

  • so true

  • God would want every one to CHECK OUT! Friends to me by Explode AMEN

  • have you lost your fucking mind by sending me an invite ? Sorry but I wont trade real life people for a thought from fantasy ! Believe as you will and I'll love you for it without needing a god for a reason to LOVE !

  • This is just brilliant teaching....

  • The prosperity talks about material wealth, which will be left behind when we ascend to heaven. What Christians should focus on is the prosperity of the fruit of the Spirit, which God gives to us freely and abundantly, and which we can bring in its entirety to heaven, minus what we have blessed others with.

  • who sings this song.

  • @ShPrEsA10 Future of Forestry sings it. Good band, and it's on their compilation CD.

  • Beautifully done! I felt so alone today... I went crazy for a minute then I felt better because I'm not alone. I'm never alone. Jesus is here through the hard times and the good.

  • @juggalette225 we are never alone. and you are loved incredibly.

  • What song in playing in this video?

  • God design men to live in a paradise (eden) with everything they ever needed.

it is God's desire that we would have everything at our disposal that we may need. there's nothing wrong with prosperity. what's wrong is people that use prosperity as a selling technique to fill their churches.

  • I made a very relevant video at watch?v=NRW_ezZcGdo

  • this is bull, the health wealth and prosperity gospel i mean.

  • this is bull

  • Refreshing

  • Here's the good news Piper. America is being purged of the health, wealth and prosperity gospel. That is why the reapers cry out in the day of harvest. God is bringing a new famine, throughout the world economy that we would know that only He is sufficient, that as we preach of wealth He takes it away that we look back to Him.

  • @WayzInTact i am not very sure about the prosperity gospel,if is true then why africa is very poor? 40% of the africans believe in jesus but they are the poorest people in the world, yes ,christianity is the second most common religion in africa after islam, but they are poor ; i think the most important thing for prosperity is the hard work ; another example is latin america, most latin americans are christians but they are poor people as well

  • … the usual religious claptrap!

  • YEP

  • YEP

  • Dear John Piper, Yes you might have reasons to be against the prosperity gospel. But, What about "grace"? What about "Jesus become poor for us to be prosper"? Do you think God wants us to be poor=dark=affliction=non glory? Do you think will be glorified when I am hungry, sick or poor with lack of anything? I think you must be more measured in your statements. Equal this gospel preachers must be measured in their statements you must be measured as well. Exagerate sides are not good for none!

  • @PepoCanica Yes, God is glorified when in the midst of our hunger, sickness,& poverty, the world sees that we are SATISFIED in Him. And grace is all over that because it's by His grace that we can rejoice in suffering ("my grace is sufficient for you..." 2 Cor.12:9). Obviously that's not the only way to bring Him glory - blessings, health, etc. can be used to that end too, but it's in suffering that our lives most clearly show that God is enough, that He (not food, health, comfort) is our treasure.

  • @PepoCanica I think he was measured, in this video he said we need to give our money and lives to help the poor. Not promise them a bmw if they say a prayer and Jesus will magically get them rich. Jesus did not come so that we can prosper in a worldly sense. If God is your treasure, is that not prospering? If you get to spend eternity in heaven where God will share his immeasurable riches of grace and kindness with you, is that not prospering?

  • "Therefore, among God's churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring. All this is evidence that God's judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering." 2 Thessalonians 1:4-5

  • "If God's love for his children is to be measured by our health, wealth, and comfort in this life, God hated the apostle Paul." John Piper

  • @mgasperoni Paul? Look at Jesus lol. He didn't even have a place to lay his head when he was tired. he was born in a manger!

  • Religion poisons everything. I cannot understand the mental illness we let this plague cost humanity. We're predisposed to fearing our mortality but nothing more infantile than this fake big-brother biggot known as god. God is the seed of the apocalypse. You are wrecking this human race. How many more centuries will people let blood over the same plagarized pagan myths that have been bootlegged everywhere? You know the 12 followers of the sun, aka the 12 months... Stop going to church.

  • @NickCarefoot "Religion poisons everything." as opposed to Atheist ideologies and their murderous monsters like Hitler and Stalin?... No thanks.

  • @ChasersRush Except Hitler justified his actions by claiming god's approval, and Stalin built an entire personality cult around himself, harnessing the quasi-religious culture of a people ruled by a divine leader for centuries.

Stalin was atheist, but he didn't kill millions of people because of that, and Hitler didn't do it because he was a Christian, they did it because they were both evil men.

  • meanwhile... how many books has piper sold?

  • Comment removed

  • this is some sick stuff. it is true what he is saying after a fashion but it also makes God some kind of evil tyrant only interested in your worship as he punishes and punishes you. This also is HERESY. God is Good and he will prosper you. You don't come to God to prosper but GOD has made many promises that are real and relevant now. *IF* you suffer for Christs sake it is Good. But to believe that all the Christian life is, is God endlessly punishing you and demanding worship?? HERESY from HELL

  • @hellbindercda God is perfectly just and perfectly loving. It is His nature. Having Him is the BEST thing that we could possibly have on this earth. He desires our worship and praise, not because he needs it, but because our satisfaction in Him is the BEST thing we can have! Above all riches and treasures on this earth. If he does not prosper us in riches... That is fine! Because having Him, is all we need!

  • @MrCodySkelly

    are you serious?

so starving kids in africa dont need food? the only need a bible?

Im sure they would agree that you are an extremely ignorant being....

  • @Suuuperelaxed MY POINT EXACTLY!!

  • @Suuuperelaxed John Piper say's here in this message "The people that ought to be giving our money and our time and our lives, instead selling a bunch of crap called 'gospel'"...

He's saying that they should give their all; listen to the message carefully. This isn't about not giving, this is about not giving something that has no savor, has no last. The only thing eternal and everlasting is Christ.

  • you are not hearing what he is saying. he is talking about the misuse of the bible over poor people. he is talking about how some preachers go to places and start saying that in order to have money, you HAVE to give them money... he is talking about how some people "love" jesus and god when everything is going well for them. but whenever things goes bad, they forget about god and start complaining for the things that they've lost and not being glad for the things that they have.

  • @2278024m Amen! We truly have that problem in my country (Nigeria-Africa) and all we need is GOD not the gifts...I have been warned by my pastor not to listen to the prosperity teachers because they are not saying the gospel and I praise God for John Piper's sermon!!!

  • @MrCodySkelly "God is perfectly just and perfectly loving."

Apart from the whole burning billions of people for eternity regardless of their actions because they didn't believe he existed part.

  • @Fangtorn God wasn't obliged to save any of us.....

  • @TruthCarrier8 Morally he is. If he wants to be a loving, merciful, just god he is. In the same way if I dig a spiked pit under my pregnant wife because one of her ancestors ate a fruit, I'm still morally obliged to "save" the baby before it falls out of the womb. It's just the right thing to do. Even if the pit is so deep it takes eighty-odd years for the baby to fall, and if at any point the baby says it loves me I'll catch it, it's me who doomed the baby in the first place.

  • @hellbindercda You've completely missed the point of the message here. When does Piper ever imply God is only interested in your worship if He is punishing you? The point he's making is that God gets so much glory from someone who's able to praise Him and be content that He is everything they need, regardless of the afflictions they're working through. That speaks volumes more than anybody who claims God is all good only by pointing out their financial blessings.

  • @hellbindercda So you believe we should tell people God is the great insurance agent in the sky? There is a difference between punishment and trials. Trials are good when you stand up to them. Even if it seems like God is punishing you, I bet it seemed that way to Job too. The Bible GUARANTEES that trials will come, the point is that we "take heart, for I have overcome the world." Jesus is for forgiveness, not for prospering.

  • Amen!

  • There's nothing wrong with Christian getting prosperous as long as He obeys the will of God. The problem is most preachers are fooling their members that God will prosper them if they give their tithes anfd offerings. I believe that collecting tithes and offerings is a grievous sin to God because it contradicts the teaching of true Christianity.

God created a one body church but they divide it into two. The clergy and the laity. The taker and the giver. Tithing is for old testament only.

  • Wonderful video, and a great word from Mr. Piper.

  • If you want to have a purpose to your life – and I would encourage you so to do – then make damn sure it is a purpose decided by YOU, and not by witch-doctors and priests, (especially long-dead, primitive ones), and certainly not by the charlatan Piper!

Take all the responsibility yourself; don’t let anybody take on your faults or your mistakes, for that would be immoral. Have a good life; your own life; leave the world a better place than you found it if you can.

  • @StrumstickJoe I have a hard time agreeing with what you are saying because to do so would be letting YOU decide for me what I should do, which is what you are specifically telling me not to do.

  • @wcbldgstests Christians have a hard time with certain concepts. I was encouraging you to think for yourself, that's all. Don't let the charlatans influence you with primitive myths. The teachings of christianity: from vicarious redemption, to the love of enemies, to the urging that no thought for the morrow must be taken, no thrift, no care - but rather hate - for friends and family, to the apocalyptic wish for humanity’s end… these are immoral teachings

  • i agree that it is amazing to see someone totally dependent on God in time of loss. i have seen it first hand and been amazed. however, for someone to display the gospel and say that God doesn't use prosperity to spread his fame that really loss is a better way is false. read through job. he felt like God baited him with his love, and then beat him with his fist(10:12-13, 16:7-11). after he heard God speak, Job realized that he had only heard about God and didn't know his heart.

  • Simply. Love. Him. In. Ur. Worst. Moment. He. Will. Exalt. U. Trust. Him. But. Is. True. Ppl. These. Days. Wanna. Hear. Prosperity. When. All. Is. Lost. N. Not. Hear. The. Truth.

  • here is the "prosperity gospel" straight from the mouth of GOD!!! Leviticus 26:3-13. God does say that christians will suffer and be persecuted, but God also gives abundant life. he can be trusted because of the good things that he gives. i can experience God being enough and not just hearing about it. you have to look at the bible as a whole. you can't just love one scripture and despise the rest.

  • “If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands,I will send you the seasonal rains. The land will then yield its crops, and the trees of the field will produce their fruit. Your threshing season will overlap with the grape harvest, and your grape harvest will overlap with the season of planting grain. You will eat your fill and live securely in your own land.“I will give you peace in the land, and you will be able to sleep with no cause for fear.

  • I will rid the land of wild animals and keep your enemies out of your land.In fact, you will chase down your enemies and slaughter them with your swords. Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand! All your enemies will fall beneath your sword.

  • “I will look favorably upon you, making you fertile and multiplying your people. And I will fulfill my covenant with you. You will have such a surplus of crops that you will need to clear out the old grain to make room for the new harvest! I will live among you. I will be your God, and you will be my people. I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt so you would no longer be their slaves. I broke the yoke of slavery from your neck so you can walk with your heads held high.

  • some choose to believe in god some dont theres no reason to make it into an argument, i used to be a atheist and now im a lutheric christian, argumentation will only make things more complicated, i personally dont want to believe that there is nothing after death i choose to believe that i will meet my maker

  • this video is a lie about God's character!!!!! Yes, people can see God through tragedy, but tragedy is not God's intention. in the book of job, it was satan who was set on harming job. it WAS God who protected job. it WAS God who gave job his wealth. job did praise and glorify God every day for the riches that God provided. God prospered me with 3 children, and to say that the only way for others to see the gospel is for me to lose a child is the spirit of anti-christ! thank God for my kids!!

  • @cottonkicker You missed the point. God is most satisfied when we give up something for him. Because it shows that we love him. Even if it hurts so bad such as losing a daughter, when we still say, "God you are enough", that is amazing love. "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends." God loved us some much that he sent his son to die for us. We should still love God even when we lose someone like a daughter in a car crash.

  • i lost my salvation 6 months ago because i turned away from god, now he wont give me another chance. he doesnt answer my prayers anymore and the bible no longer has an effect on me. ever since this happened ive seemed to have developed a depraved mind. even having serial killer fantasies, and tempted to worship the devil and let him possess me, its starting to get real bad and im about to explode. please pray for me.

  • @trigger575707 Not sure if you're serious or not, but if you want to have a conversation with a Thinking Christian, then give me a PM. I don't claim to know a lot, but I claim to believe in God, reason and Logic - working together.

So hit me up with a PM, I'll try and help you as best I can.

  • @trigger575707 Hit me with a PM if you want to have a conversation with a Thinking christian, who believes God, reason and Logic work together. I don't have all the answers, but maybe I can help.

If you're serious, just PM me, and tell me your situation.

  • @trigger575707 You sound very confused. Do you understand your sin condition? Have you ever lied, stolen, hated, lusted, loved anything else rather than God? if you have then you are guilty and need to be saved. This is the reason Jesus was crucified and rose again, to deliver you from the consequesnces of your sins. If you accept Gods free salvation in Christ then you are promised BY GOD that you are saved. Humble yourself and God will lift you up.

  • @trigger575707 prayin for you brother.

  • @trigger575707 i am so sorry to hear about your choices, but let me tell you darlin', God loves you with a love that no one else has for you. he is your creator, your maker. he won't give up on you because you don't know what you believe anymore. God is patient and merciful. a depraved mind is something that you have only after you have chosen to forget God and replace him with something that is not God. a depraved mind is not a disease that can never be cured. you are not without hope!!!!

  • @trigger575707 im praying for you.

  • @Rlmusclebear1: Really? Seriously? Where does it say that? The last I heard, God smite an entire city for homosexual and immoral sexual behavior (Gen 14). Sorry, God doesn't look to kindly of homos.

  • @anavol He looks on them with love. Do not dare paint your Homophobic views on Almighty God. Do you want to know what the bible says? It is the ACT of homosexuality that is a sin - not the person. God cares for them as much as anyone else, and he loves them as much as anyone else. As christians, it is our duty to show love to them also, but we must not agree with the act of homosexuality.

  • @JoshD667 and why not? How does it bother you? Why should you be against something which doesn't harm anyone??

  • @marcohorowitz8 Why are you asking me this question? Not sure how it fits in with my comment

  • As is written, I regard all as nothing, as garbage, compared to the Glory of God. His mercy and justification is enough, even tough I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will know no fear for Thou are with me.

  • I believe in the homosexuality gospel. Gay people are God's chosen people.

  • this is arogant

  • The video that shows what happens after death..watch "GOD'S PRISON" and see what will happen to you.

  • Why would God want for ANY ONE OR ANY THING?????

God by it's own nature is ABSOLUTELY and INFINITELY COMPLETE!

GET OFF YOUR KNEES! THE BIBLE STINKS OF THE IGNORANCE AND ARROGANCE OF MEN! STOP WORSHIPING! AND LIVE YOUR LITTLE LIFE!

A GOD WANTS FOR NO ONE AND NOTHING!

You can't have it both ways - either God wants and is rendered incomplete and imperfect, or God is perfect and complete, and wants for no one and nothing!!

  • @Shoyudan You confuse want with need.

  • This is rubbish. Look in any good concordance eg Strongs or Youngs concordance and you wiil find the word "Saved" is the Greek word "Sozo" which means " to be healed, saved, delivered, redeemed, restored and to be prospered. I have a saviour. I have a healer. I have a restorer. I have a deliverer. I have a redeemer. I have a prosperer. HIS NAME IS JESUS. I suggest you meet him. You might like to get saved too. When i lay hands on the sick they recover. How about you?

  • @oh4sure And just as rubbish as your argument, forgetting the cultural difference between "Sozo" and its usage in present day times compared to greek and mediterranean cultures. And what about this message is rubbish? That God be glorified? That people should not seek Jesus to elevate his gifts above him? The apostles where amongst the poorest people in the NT. Did they not prosper? Where they just heretics? Or where they prospering in Christ?

  • @oh4sure And just as you brag about youre ability to heal sick people, so can the pagans do, so did the magicians og ancient times do, so its really nothing to come here and brag about in such a manner. It just shows me youre humbleness is not in match with the humbleness of Jesus..

  • @oh4sure No, that's not the true message of the Gospel.

  • @oh4sure spiritual prosperity... equating godliness for gain is false

  • @oh4sure Amen!

  • @oh4sure What is prosperity? Rich are the poor in heart, for they shall see God.

  • What's going to happen after we die? Watch "GOD'S PRISON" and find out. It's worth the time considering the eternal stake.

  • This is a hard saying, but TRUE saying.

  • pip[er took some time off to reevaluate his life and repent of things. Maybe he willl do a better job and be kind from now on.

  • piper has a conference in minnesota coming up soon he charges $185.

The people he criticizes have conferences that are free

  • @atestring100 maybe he needs guys to pitch in for the venue?

  • @thecarexpert maybe he should quit critizizing others and spend his time preaching a true and pure gospel instead of going into venomous rages, If he did maybe people would just give to him .

  • @atestring100 with all due respect, please realize that he is not going into a rage for the heck of it. If a fallacy is being spread about something or someone you love with all your life, would you not be sent into a rage? The reason he gets very angry at things like this is most probably because the wrong "gospel" is being spread around the world, essentially demeaning Christ's death, and ultimately possibly damning many people around the world...

  • @thecarexpert THis rant is extremely exagerated and he has his followers trained like pull string dolls.

Just because piper says something does not make it true. Who said that pigs wont die? Who said your wife wont have miscarriages? he went into this rant in Mountain Brook Alabama one of the richest communities in the south. Meanwhile in west Birmingham preachers are helping the poor have respect while the "brookies" pay him to rant .

  • @atestring100 interesting how that works huh... Sometimes the person calling heresy is the heresy...

  • @godsoulja7 Ya should listen to the podcast by HollaFest Radio... The one about Word of Faith and heretic... It is really good...

  • @atestring100

Yes, and I could argue that they have free conferences so more people will come and be fooled. BTW did you know that things cost money to make, build and do sometimes? But hey, maybe ur like me, cause I have a plummer who`s a christian, and also my doctor is a christian as well, and because of that i NEVER pay them money for the jobs they do. And so i totally agree that Piper is all about the bucks.. totally...

  • anyone kno the song in the backround?

  • @NAR106 I think it's Ian Mcintosh

  • He's not saying that its bad when people have nice things, rather its wrong to say that if you become a Christian you're going to have an easy life. No where in the bible does it say, believe in Him and people will love you and life will just go your way. No, it says believe in Christ and people will reject you and you will be tested to proove you are trying to live for Christ as you say. again, nothing is wrong with having nice things, but don't just praise Christ when you are in the good life

  • The problem with the evangelical position and Mr. Piper is that they apparently cannot simply say, God wants us to overcome in this life -- like David and Goliath, like Hezekiah, like Moses and the Amorites, like Paul and Silas in prison. Do you need counter examples? Why. Just give us an amen to what God wants. Why is healing/prosperity a mysterious and sovereign act, but pain and hardship have a formula and guarantee from the Church? Maybe God prefers to raise that dead girl on the road

  • It is not the most beautiful part of life that God allows us to suffer. If that were the case, Jesus would have refused to heal people. Tell me whom he refused?

Here is the problem. Must we choose between Psalm 23 and your verse "many are the sufferings of the righteous" and "count it all joy"? These verse are not either/or. Nor are they just reconciled by saying that all blessing/healing/restoration is simply spiritual. Mr. Piper assumes too much on these points.
