Yep, going on 18. He is one feisty old cat. Still jumps right up on the couch in a bound, and performs daily shoelace ambushes as you walk by. He takes a walk outside a couple times a day, and scratches on the glass sliding door to get back in. When we used to have sliding screens, he would climb up and hang there in the middle like a velcro toy to get our attention. Well trained humans, we are. No matter which room we are in, the cat and dog are there hanging out with us.

Actually, the cat likes to mix it up. If we don't play or rough house enough, we get ambushed with attacks on our socks. Unfortunately, our feet are inside at the time. The cat just has attitude, but is also lovey-dovey a lot of the time. He wants to sleep on the bed near your feet at night, then attack those feet if he sees them in socks. Shoes are mandatory near Banjo the Cat.

Too Funny!!... My (now gone) cat was relaxed enough that I could vacuum around him (even right up to him) while he was laying on the floor, but I never tried giving him a 'suck' (LOL)

It's faster than a brushing, eh?... And you can just tell the cat HATES it... Hates it so much he comes back for more! (Only thing I'd suggest is be careful of the loud noise at the nozzle getting too close to his ears - to minimize damage to his hearing.)

17 years ago adopt a cat from a musician moving into an apartment that does not allow pets. Then have the cat grow up with 2 boys who play rough-house (but nice) with the cat so he knows that his attitude can intimidate and it is fun to give it back. Then have the boys move away and leave a perfectly seasoned cat with ATTITUDE.

He may not look it, but Banjo is 17 years old. I do not think pollution from the vacuum will hurt the same cat that catches, then eats mice and moles raw. I believe Banjo just likes to mix it up.
