If your watching this video more than likely your searching for REAL lyricism, ORIGINAL concepts and DOPE production. Love it, hate it, it will elicit a response.
I love Q'tips music, I'm just sorry I was'nt online weeks ago to leave him nice comments, about his music due to my computer running slow. You have made me overcome my shyness'' I now know that I'm ready to write. I love writing it's my hidden passion.
What are you people talking about Q-Tip's new stuff isn't that good? Do you not listen to the lyrical genius behind each line? There's only so many lines someone could think of after 20+ years of dropping albums. And yet he does it and makes it damn catchy. You people don't know Art. Real talk.
thats why i think if biggie were still alive he wouldve ran out of shit to rap about. i dont think his career in rap wouldve had longevity like pac and q-tip
@msnywoman23 I agree, while you gotta respect Biggie. He was more about style, he swings like a man playing saxaphone (shockG quote) but I personally thing Biggies lyrics were mostly shit. He was making Kanye albums before Kanye was.
i never understand what was spectacular that biggie rapped about that people think he was so great. though not every song pac rapped about i liked he had songs that had deep meaning to than biggie. and q-tip. i know this is a q-tip post but i will say pac made me open my eyes to stuff i was blinded to b4. the whole industry , life in general. i was definitely asleep b4 now im awake
@msnywoman23 Pac had messages behind most of his songs (not so much the thug crap after Suge bailed him out). Biggy was about style and swagger and was just more about flow. A good video you should check out is the Shock G interview talking about Pac.(clips are on youtube) I believe it was off the 2pac prison tape interview or the biography. Peter Sprier made them I believe...Shock G has great incite on 2pac being the man that found him. Just interesting hearing what Shock has to say
hey..im probs gonna get ripped into for saying this but can someone tell me the song title for 0:50 - 1:01 ?? if you could spare me the punishment for not knowing it would be apreciated lol :)
@respectible Its called "Move" off The renaissance. Don't be afraid of asking a name of a tune anyone who rips into you for that shit is a little bitch. The sample he uses is from Dance Machine by Jackson 5
They are two different artist and ppl asshole why do ppl compare artist now to artist then like that yo Kanye is a way different style yo! Like all those artist are inspired from them so quit starting stupid shit man we all know nun of them can be him, like Kobe and Jordan. Jordan is Jordan and everybody wants to be him but never will come close. PERIOD @senorfarqueso
If you ask me tupac did not die as a result of big or east coast but becuz pac said it was ppl from bigs crew that shot him someone made sure to take care of big when he went to cali. just remember snoop, suge, and diddy are all still alive...why is that?
This clip says alot. I wish da whole east coast west coat thing never happened. We would still have pac and Biggie today. And for all u muthafuckas who says rappers are ignorant listen to this clip one more time. Q-tip is a very intelligent person and very respectful. if it wasnt for guys like hime there would be no Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, T.I and the list goes on. So Thank you Q-tip for paving the way. Keep droppin da albums homie.
@TheBamaman205 r u serious? wayne and jay aren't even in the same room as q-tip. while they rap about drugs and being on top q has something that the average person can relate to. BIM=bear in mind not everyone sells drugs or uses it and is still apart of hip hop culture.
Q-tip is good but he forgot to shoutout J Dilla (RIP)...cause you know i mean...he did make alot of his beats...and didnt get credit for it....and i think some of his beats was played in this interview
I like Q-Tip, hes more universal than Guru or Nas. Guru and Nas are great MC's, but Q-Tip is an artist, he does alot more then they do, that's why I put him on #1
